  1. Honestly the "juniors style" was the most relevant issue many of us AFOL had with that theme. I agree with you on the comparison with LOTR/Hobbit sets and "Castle 2013". I too hope the next Castle line will have a "batter balance"
  2. The main problem with 2013 Castle theme is the sets look "junior/duplo" styled and so they lack the "traits" you may find in the other similar themes, like those you mentioned. Long story short, Castle 2013 is widely considered an undertone theme. That's what I can say in a very quick statement EDIT: Typo corrected.
  3. I would love sets based on any aspect of the DC universe we haven't seen in Lego form yet So I totally support "Flash sets based on the show" I just saw a DC video on a collectible Mera statue and I thought it would be very nice to get a Mera Minifigure EDIT: Typos corrected.
  4. What rumors? I'm sure there were rumors about 10188 retiring. It is around since 2008 and it is the only exclusive Lego Star Wars set I saw several times available on "standard" stores. I never ever saw any other Lego shop exclusive set on other store's shelves
  5. Taking a little break from the Jar Jar photos and preparing to work on a couple of other projects I made few images featuring Stormtroopers, just for fun "Unusual Troopers" We all know Stormtroopers as the evil soldiers who can't hit their target but what if they had the chance to be something else? Like I said, just for fun Here you can meet: The Fastest Trooper alive, the Classy Trooper and the special appearance of "Super Trooper" Lol, it seems Jar Jar found his role in the "New Order" R2 deserves better, though but I'm sure he'll find a way to get his revenge on Jar Jar
  6. Considering there is a TV series focusing on him, it would be understandable for Lego to make sets based on it As long as we get more DC sets I'm happy
  7. That's a very cool one
  8. Thank you very much for the info Next time I'll buy several of them to stock up my bricks. Like you said buying the parts individually would be cheaper but those sets come with nice Minifigures and most f them would be very useful for army building. Not to mention the fact it would also be "faster" than looking for each part. Thank you again
  9. My May the 4th order arrived today. I'm very eager to build those sets: Ewok village, AT-AT and Mos Eisley Cantina The poster is nice and I have still to decide if I'm going to keep Yularen Minifigure sealed or not. Even I was thinking about getting the Micro-fighters for parts but I was wondering if it is actually a better choice than acquiring those parts in other way. Would you suggest to invest in a good number of micro-fighters just for the parts? Perhaps other options are a cheaper but buying those sets instead would be easier and less, you know, stressful. Sometimes shopping for individual parts can be quite stressing and those sets also give us Minifigures. Right now I'm in the process to "stock up" parts so I can finally start some decent MOCing
  10. I didn't see it. I hadn't the chance to watch many videos on YouTube recently. Sounds cool Do you have a link? Btw nice photos, like always I wonder if someone is betting on Jar Jar lol. Perhaps that's why they say Stormtroopers never hit the target
  11. Thank you very much I wanted to use a better background, perhaps a little MOC but I'm in very hectic period so I was unable to do it. However I really wanted to celebrate May the 4th and so I thought I took the photos. Thank you again for your words and I'm glad you like my collection May the 4th and the Brick be with you
  12. I finally posted few photos of one of my Lego Star Wars Armies to celebrate the approaching Star Wars Day Here is my: Kashyyyk Clone Army It numbers 102 Minifigures and 32 vehicles I wish I had the chance to take better photos but I really wanted to share it for the May the 4th. Comments and feedback always appreciated. May the 4th be with You and May the Brick be with you EDIT: Typo corrected.
  13. I placed the May 4th order which it's also a sort of early Birthday gift Ewok Village, AT-AT and Mos Eisley Cantina, three sets I always wanted to buy but I ended with giving priority to other sets. Since I read a lot of good things about those sets I finally ordered them. I intentionally kept myself from ordering every single set. I have to say I thought about adding the Sandcrawerl too but I already have so many sets waiting to be built so I tried to avoid a compulsive Lego Star Wars shopping lol I have still to decide what I will do with Yuralen Minifigures: if I'll keep the polybag sealed or not
  14. Very cruel lol Do you mean fired by the great Overlords of Entertainment lol since now George is... well their "employee" Btw I read the Overlords were a bit harsh on George regarding Episode VII screenplay. I read they didn't want even to consider his own version. Anyway it seems they don't like Jar Jar as well. He didn't appear in the trailers for the iTunes version of the movies
  15. Like with nearly every promotion: it's usually one per customer and household I'm a bit disappointed it won't be available in Europe but after all there are just 750 of them: I'm not that lucky. Anyway I guess I can live without it
  16. It would be nice When it comes to our hobbies the most important part is to relax and have fun. Nothing does it better than Lego, in my opinion. That's why when I always say my Jar Jar images are parody works made to have some fun
  17. As one of the persons who made a lot of Jar Jar images here, I can tell for the most time it's not hate. It's a just a parody, a fun way to see what happens if he runs out of his enormous luck Personally I do as a parody about a phenomenon so it's a parody both about Jar Jar and "Jar Jar hate" I'm not a huge fun of him, sometimes I find him annoying but sometimes he also makes me smile, so no hate, just fun and parody
  18. I'm aware of the designers' limitations; in fact I never complain because the sets they designs have a less quality than MOCs or modifications Even I like the Hulkbuster set a lot. I never complained about it lol I only wish it had a rotating torso: it wouldn't have been too difficult to obtain it. The old Lex Luthor's mech, for example, had this function. Or at least a rotating head. Sometimes it's difficult to set scenes for comics (or Brickfilms) when you actually need to orientate the head toward a specific point. Anyway I still consider it a truly wonderful set
  19. I agree. It's very impressive indeed I gave a look at the other projects on that page they are are awesome too. They surely deserve more views
  20. No problem I just read your post, so the misunderstanding never took place I too hope we'll get more DC women in sets. The problem with mini-dolls is for me a technical one. It's not just because I like Minfigures more but since I often make little dioramas, Brick Comics (and hopefully when I'll get more time, Brickfilms) the mini-dolls limited "possibility/movements" are truly a problem to me That's a very good question. However they could do what they did with Elves theme: just putting them into "standard" (well, more or less ) builds. Personally I truly hope the Minifigure format will be chosen It could be possible it will available in Europe too. Perhaps the scan is the "advertising" they made for the North American market In any case with 750 available piece I suppose it will have a very high value on the market
  21. Talking about the "Mini-dolls" let's not forget they have also a very limited "functionality". They can bend only forward, they can't move their legs etc. These are among the reasons they are so disliked. Doing stop motion with Mini-dolls it's not the same thing, for example Minifigures can do a lot of things mini-dolls can not. So I truly hope we'll get more DC women in Minifigure form
  22. Three more Marvel vs Jar Jar images. I'll move to another crossover soon "Evil shall not prevail" Thor's intentions are clear, like his idea of who is evil "Punching Bag" Captain America found a new punching bag and it is a very satisfying one "Malfunctioning Drone" When an Ultron Drone comes in the form of the Clumsy Creature you know something is wrong Comments and feedback always appreciated, of course Thanks for the info. I can imagine in those places those self sticks can indeed be potentially dangerous. Well, until they "hurt" the clumsy creature everything is ok lol
  23. I really like the Lightsaber selfie stick: designed to take care of the annoying Clumsy Creature who bothers your movie experience lol Btw where did you get the mobile phone part? From some Friends' set? I have no knowledge about them. I once saw a couple of Ultra Agents sets have "laptop-like" parts but I never saw a mobile phone. It could be useful
  24. The video game could be a wonderful way to "re-ignite" the interest in the theme and make new "normal" sets. Perhaps I'm too optimistic but I see there is still hope
  25. Lol.. indeed or perhaps even the head: Hawkeye's has explosive arrows too Well, Jar Jar's is just an empty box lol. Perhaps I was unfair, I'm sure he has a neuron inside. Just one
