I read very sad news here indeed. I realize if the sales were poor (which is another proof how strange market can be, because they were great sets) they decided to discontinue the theme but they already manufactured those sets so why don't release them and "clear their warehouses"? I hope one day those set will reach EU market as well. I does not hurt to hope a little bit The recent Ninjago sets are indeed amazing and they took a good part of many Lego fans' budget for sure. It has been said Ninjago is mostly a theme for kids but they have such a versatility to prove extremely useful to AFOLs too. They give material for Fantasy, Sci-Fi and much more projects even with little modifications or no modification at all. The dragons are perfect in a Fantasy setting and, for example, the Ronin Gunship is a nice "Sci-Fi" vehicle clearly inspired by Star Wars. There was a very similar Bounty Hunter in the Clone Wars series and the set even has a part printed with letters from the Star Wars basic alphabet Long story short, I do think Ninjago's success took a good part of fans' hobby budgets with obvious effects on the "less famous" themes

Thank you for the info

How much did you pay it? If I may ask New it has a prohibitive cost ( In Europe I saw it sold between 3000 and up to 5000€ ) Anyway, happy building. It's one of the most sought after and admired sets ever produced

Good. I thought I completely missed it when I searched lol For me it's not a problem. I'm adult and open minded lol. I just thought someone could find inappropriate. That was all. I heard a lot person complaining when Lego is paired with certain things. Like I said it's not a problem to me. People can do even kinky scenes/dioramas/MOCs with Lego and I don't complain lol Anyway thanks again for the info on "merging topics". I see it's more "efficient" to have a single topic instead of countless topic for every Minifigure project the members post

I'm currently working on Brick Comic story featuring Jar Jar vs Ewoks and I just upload the first three pages as "preview" At first I was unsure if this was the right place to post them but each of the panels is actually a "Lego photo" and I used typical photography techniques (including color balance, light leak etc) and so I though to share them here. I plan to complete the full story in the next week Here are the first three pages of the first chapter of... "Bears Wars" Jar Jar's revenge Despised by the whole multiverse the Clumsy Creature is intended to seek revenge with the help of his new evil allies but will he be able to succeed or will he face another demise? And what surprises the Space Teddy Bears have for him? This is just a preview so I'll answer all the questions with the full story, of course These comics may look simple but it really takes a lot of efforts to make them. I'm even editing each photo adding effects like light leaks etc, so any feedback and comment is truly very appreciated May the Brick be with You

I was thinking about doing the same thing but using 3-5 packs, just because I have still 5 Stormtroopers battle packs still to build Some time ago I turned the content of two Shadow Troopers battle packs into a "larger speeder". I find it an enjoyable building experience so I'm thinking to do it again with other battle packs I'm glad to read it is possible to make a decent sized Imperial Troop Transport using two battle packs and just few extra piece. Very good news

Even mine is not on the crawler Great photo. I really like the composition and the perspective: it clearly shows motion, and so action, is incoming. Well Done
-
I truly hope they will release them. I had a bad feeling when I saw all the theme on discount. However I guess they already manufactured those sets so it won't hurt for them to put in the market, hopefully

Thank you very much I would have missed that Minifigure too. It was already retired when I came back to the hobby but I was lucky enough to find 5 of those boxes ( the one with this, the ARC Trooper and two Commando droids) in a store. I bought all of them, of course I remember those episodes. The Clones were of the 501st so the armor should be different. The strange thing is when Lego released the 501st AT-RT they put a "standard" Clone Trooper instead of the AT-RT driver or ARF Trooper which would have been "screen accurate". In my Clone Army I actually put those ARF Troopers on the AT-RTs I don't like to get my Minifigure dirty but I like outdoor Lego photography so much. I remove the dirt as soon as I take the photo, of course Thank you again for your comment

Extremely inappropriate, if you want my opinion but I'm not a Mod so I may be wrong about rules

I took few more outdoor photos. This one one of them Scouting by BrickSev, on Flickr I got several negative opinions on it (without explanations, of course lol) , so if you have some feedback, feel free to tell me. Feedback is always appreciated I know it's a very simple photo but I find enjoyable to take outdoor photos of Minifigures and "imagine" they are on some alien planet. Imagination is the most important part of our hobby, after all EDIT: Typos corrected.

If I remember correctly, the raffle is done to choose who can buy it. You got chosen, pay the $40 and bring the set home. Correct me if I'm wrong

I agree with your point I want just to notice in the Superheroes comics (and most sets are based on comics) there is indeed blood. For example I'm reading Forever Evil and Sinestro cutting the arm of a Crime Syndicate member it's quite "intense". Beside the problem with violence it's not always the graphic nature but itself. Namely, even if it's not graphic, it's still violence. But I guess this is another story for another topic ________ Anyway, I didn't realized there were a topic to post our Minifigures. I make a quick search but the title of this topic didn't make me to find it easily. I saw a couple of people posted topics about their Minifigures and I thought it was ok. Sorry for the inconvenience

Thank you very much I'm really liking Lego outdoor photography and I already took other photos. I should be able to post them very soon

No problem I know what you mean. Beside I have no chance to get those exclusive sets, so I'm always glad when they don't feature new Minifigures The set itself is interesting but I heard there is a quite "strict procedure" to get it. Even by attending the convention there is no guarantee to get the set. Someone very lucky will get a very rare set, it seems
-
Thank you for the info Is there that suit in physical form? Even in January sets I saw the version depicted in the exclusive set pic. I haven't built the two Superman sets yet but they do look to have that Minifigure and according to what I read that other version appears only in the video game. That's why I considered that Minifigure the current close to "New 52" one: because it's the one they put in all Superman sets. I have become accustomed to "inaccurate" Superman Minifigures, since none of them has boot printing so I get what Lego gives us lol Anyway thanks for the link

I recently (and finally ) joined Flickr. I won't post there all the photos I took because I don't want to "flood" the Photostream but I'll post there a selection of them. Mostly those that mean more to me This is the first ever outdoor Lego Star Wars photo I took and so I'd really like to share it here Exploring an alien jungle by BrickSev, on Flickr EDIT: Typos corrected

Do you mean the post convergence one? The Minfigure seems to be the current Superman one, which is wearing a costume that is indeed very close the New 52 one (namely pre-convergence) Sorry if I looked too geeky lol. It was not my intention to correct what you said etc I didn't give a close look at the set's pics so I may be wrong

Thank you for your words on the Minifigures I agree with you and I'm aware that policy is considered essential by Lego. I was just trying to noticed that if they "want to keep violence" out there is violence in Star Wars and Superheroes too. Someone would say video games' content are more strictly "judged" than movies's one There are sets based on the comics and several of them are listed 15+ here in Europe (Deathstroke is an example). What gives Skyrim that rating is the "open world" gameplay. Players can do a lot of things and certain may be "violent", "ethically questionable" while other may be good and altruistic. It all depends on our choices, thus the rating due to the "totally freedom of choice". Lego could easily focus on the less "questionable" parts of the franchising and make a Fantasy theme inspired by it. I know it will never happen because they don't want connections with a M rating but I wanted to mention the option
-
Thank you very much I wanted to create a sort of "dagger with the blade made of bone" and the two parts seem to go together nicely. It's a very simply design and I'm glad you like it Thank you very much I agree, a The Elder Scrolls theme would bring a lot of money to Lego. The problem seems to be the video game rating. It appears Lego doesn't want to make sets based on licenses not suitable for the younger fans. However, considered the open nature of the Elder Scrolls world, they could focus on the more "suitable" aspects and create an epic Fantasy theme I understand their intention to keep certain concepts away from their brand but they do make Star Wars sets and it's not a very peaceful "conflict free" setting. Galaxy wide wars, weapons of incredible power, a lot of destruction. Personally I think if they can "balance" things with Star Wars, or Superheroes, they could balance them with an Elder Scrolls theme. It's just my opinion, though
-
I too think the chances of new LOTR sets are close to none but, honestly, I won't consider customer service the "ultimate sources of knowledge". There are many things they are not informed about, especially the company long term plans. They are always polite and very helpful when it comes to orders but I noticed there are many things, even about current sets, themes and promotions, they ignore. It's because they are not told everything. Just my my two cents on the matter
-
They could focus on the "Darkseid war" story arc, instead. It seems a "big hit" for DC Comics and one of the core story arcs of this year In that case same costume as before but sets that could be as epic as the story they are about tell

The part you use to represent blood is very interesting. Is it an official Lego part? Thanks for the info

I finally found the time to make another Jar Jar image. Sorry for my recent absence from the "Anti Jar Jar League". Today I'm back "There are two kinds of Elves" Silly Elves and Badass Elves. How do you tell the difference? Just look at how they treat the Clumsy Creature It features the special appearance of Elrond Minifigure fighting Jar Jar
