  1. I was very worried at first. I remember all the jokes fans made on a "Disney controlled Star Wars" but honestly even very successful TV series are distributed by it and they are not the usual "fairy tales" I always found interesting to see how starting from the Clone Wars Tv series Mandalorians moved from " any of them is an enemy" to "most of them are allies". I too would have liked some transport or at least a ship with interiors. Lego made several of them so I was surprised to see the ones from the Old Republic didn't get the same treatment. Btw I know what you feel regarding the up-to-date list
  2. I hope some of those sets will be released. I don't have great expectations but I still hope
  3. Perhaps different regions, different shipping experiences I live in Italy and they ship from their warehouse in Belgium so orders usually arrive in less than 24 hours
  4. Good luck in finding the duplicates you look for then Regarding parts: well that's a very good question I hadn't the chance to give them a detailed look but I really like Galaxy Trooper armor (I can't recall if it was already used in the old Galaxy Squad sets as the robots' armor, though) It has nice printings on front and back plus a place to store the two blasters. The Hot Dog mold is quite detailed but honestly it does not look breathtaking to me. The Alien Trooper headpiece is very impressive. Since I'm a Star Wars fan it reminds me of a certain alien species from that Galaxy, far far away. It's a very detailed part with an interesting color scheme. Even the body of the Minifigure it's very interesting. I don't like the Disco Diva headpiece. I think a different headpiece would have make the Minifigure look better. The Samurai has a nice armor but surprisingly her torso part does not look like one of a female Minifigure. I believe they thought "You can't notice under the armor" but if you don't use her armor it looks like you put a female Minifigure head over a male body. Another article I should write, I think about the unique parts. It may be useful for anyone interested in using those Minifigures for their own custom projects
  5. Lego shop is indeed super quick. Delivery it's also very fast. On site they say express delivery requires up to 3 working days but I always got the order the very next day Happy building and May the Brick be with You
  6. Thank you very much for your reply I hoped to get all 16 too but I can't complain So the King should be rather easy to find: that's good to read Good point on the fencers: all I'd need to do is to put some colored electric tape strip on them and I got "red" and "blue" team Answering to your question: First, I think all the Minifigures that could be used for army building are good to get duplicate of. Alien Trooper, Egyptian Warrior and Goblin are a good option. Galaxy Trooper is meant to be an "elite soldier" but that does not mean you can make a squad of them, so it's another option. The Samurai is a bit more "complicated", we could say. Without an helmet or changing her headpieces they will look like "clones" of the same person. The Egyptian Warrior has a more "generic" face expression but the Samurai looks "unique" but if you have additional head/hairpieces you can get very nice results. Even the Evil Wizard can be useful if you want to create a "guild" of wizards ( One with the beard, one without etc) The Sheriff has potential (and he also has an interesting side leg printed holster) but more than two will look "repetitious" without changing headpiece. Fencers can be used to create fencing teams, so if you're interested in Olympic games settings they have much to offer. The second reason to welcome duplicate of a Minifigure is its "market value", if you are interested in such things. From that point of view it will depend on what the market's demand but I guess Galaxy Trooper will be very popular. I hope my info have been helpful. I think I should write an article about the "duplicate/army building" matter. You just gave me the idea Thank you again for you comment
  7. Hello fellow AFOL I recently bought 33 packs of Series 13 and I make a little overview of my findings I don't know if anyone is interested but I noticed several persons have an interested in "Minifigures packs opening videos" I hadn't the time to create a video so I made a photo version to give a look at the Minifigures, chances etc (even though 33 packs are not very statistically significant) Sorry if I posted in the wrong place or anything. If you are interested here you can find a quick overview with the photos with a brief comment: Minifigures Series 13: 33 packs opening It may not be of supreme quality but it took me a while to do it, so if you find it useful let me know. Few words always motivate Thank you for reading, I hope the article will be useful
  8. I still hope the second production run (namely the set available after it went backorder) will have the correct sticker. Perhaps it won't happen but I still hope
  9. Also two other Minifigures in the escape pods, if you want to use them as "cargo" I love that set but I hoped it had a little interior a la "Millennium Falcon", for example Honestly when Disney became "involved" in Star Wars I had a bad feeling about this but it wasn't as bad as I thought. I still have to watch Rebels Tv series so I hold my judgement about it until I watch but the sets are not bad. The Stormtroopers Battle Pack is nice. The problem with Anakin's custom Starfighter is it's so overpriced ( number of pieces speaking) for the facto a common pre-Episode III Jedi Starfighter (you get Ventress Minifigure, though) I plan to get both Geonosis Troopers and Senate Commando soon. Many already noticed the Geonosis armors are wrong, since when the second battle of Geonosis took place Clone Troopers were still in their phase I armor and the "specific" desert camo armor where either the ARF troopers/scout troopers or the "Galactic Marines" under Ki-Adi Mundi's command. It's not a problem to me I like that Minifigure and I like that armor. Beside Geonosis it's not the only desert planet in the Galaxy
  10. I made another "Jar Jar comic" "Oops, you can't" aka "Mesa can fly" So far it is the favorite among those I made and it even features the new Shadow Guard Minifigure, so I'm curious to know if you like it
  11. I was just curious about it The Lego Old Republic sets don't have many "troop carrying" option, included the larger Jedi Cruiser
  12. Does it carry only the two Sith troopers it comes with or does it have room for more troopers?
  13. Thank you for the info. This is the only set from the "Old Republic" I miss ( a part Darth Revan polybag) so I was always curious to know if it's worth its price
  14. Well who said he can't be a "Sith Lord" instead of "Sith Warrior" Btw, how is the Sith Fury interceptor? I missed it when it was released but now I saw a shop that has it, so I wonder if it's worth to get it
  15. Well there is another super cool "True Sith": the one from Jedi Defender Cruiser, which is also my avatar The pic here does not make the Minifigure justice but it's amazing. Wonderful helmet/mask, nice printing and the Minifigure can be anything: Sith, Jedi, your DIY hero/villain etc Btw nice plan regarding the Imperial shuttle
  16. @ dr_spock: Thanks for the info and lol again at Jar Jar photos. I have the same feeling: I don't actually hate him, I too wonder what will happen if his astronomical good luck runs out I'm working on more Jar Jar comics/parody and I'll post them here soon
  17. I agree on the "open rear side". I think TLG should take inspiration from your MOCs then It's quite difficult to take photos of the current modular buildings, so I really hope they will follow your path As for the financial report: certain data are make available to the public but usually it's never so specific. Just income and similar things
  18. I finally opened all the 31 packs ( I can try to post some pic) and the only Minifigures I miss are the Goblin and the King. The Galaxy Trooper is amazing! Double side headpiece, armor with front and back printings. The armor also has a place to hold the weapons I found four Alien Soldiers but that's not bad. They are useful in numbers
  19. Well like any "respectable" lol Sith they would fight to "out rank" the others. It's what they always do Now that I mentioned it, I was actually thinking to determine the outcome of the "brick stories" I make like they were a sort of "table game/rpg" (namely dices and stats, just to add some variety) but even using existing mechanics it's a colossal task. But I'm wandering Malgus is indeed a "rarer" Minifugure. There will be other Vader and Palpatine but another Malgus is not so likely. From a "collecting point of view" that makes him a good choice as "leader" of your army
  20. I finally found Series 13 at local store and I "crazily" lol bought 31 bags I haven't opened all of them and I'll post the "results", so if someone is interested in the "statistic" aspect you can find some info
  21. If you add them to your Clone Army you can make your army larger If you can get the Inquisitor, he would be a good choice to lead imperials Sure, why not? It's still "Republic design" and they can be Special Ops, or specialist troopers. They also have nice heavy weapons
  22. I plan to do the same thing, after all Stormtrooper armor is Phase 3 Clone Trooper armor Even I hadn't the chance to take pics of my Clone Army. Before I have to assemble the more recent troopers Btw, I built a Shadow Troopers pack and all I can tell you is: get them when you have the chance. The Shadow Guards are not very detailed (no back or leg printing) but Shadow Troopers are amazing
  23. That's what makes our hobby so great With our bricks we can "build" our own little universe. Every set we build can tell infinite stories. I wish I had the time to make/complete a couple of very large stories. I have several ideas but creating the scenes and turn them into comics or videos require so much time EDIT: No problem I just wanted to say the character has a cameo and thus we find him in both "universes". Sometimes I type too quickly, so my wording may not be very, you know, accurate lol
  24. Perhaps I am, perhaps I'm not They just expanded the character's story. Or simply, same character, different universe Like the various "versions" of the same characters from parallel universes. Tbh, it's not that important to me, since I always create my own stories and I rarely set them in the "official universe"
  25. I could try. The problem is shipping would cost too much for just 16 ( they don't allow us to buy more on Lego shop site) Minifigures bags. Well they could be very kind and offer me free shipping or a discount on shipping
