  1. I just got Lonely Mountain. The box is large than I expected. I know it is overpriced set etc but I really wanted Smaug (aka any figure that could represent a badass dragon ) and I like that rare sand green bricks, so I bought it
  2. I can't recall the name, those near the "wings" of the starship. I think one of them is this one I rarely saw it in the size used in the Slave I but I may be wrong
  3. Well, that's even more impressive How did you find the "rounded unique pieces"? As far as I know, I can be wrong of course , those come only with the Slave I. Or perhaps they are exclusive to Slave I only in the "green color". I can't remember it right now Anyway, congratulations again. It's a very impressive work
  4. I just got my 5 Imperial Transport Battle Packs, 3 Shadow Troopers packs and 1 Hailfire Droid. If I find the time I'll write a little review If you are curious about a particular set among these let me know so I'll start with it and share my thoughts with the community Personally I'm quite curious about the Hailfire Droid
  5. Impressive mod! You must have a lot of bricks in the right colors available. Congratulations for your efforts. The results are indeed amazing
  6. That's a very good question regarding the "sets' size" If the "marketing target" is AFOL collectors then I can tell Orthanc-level buildings have indeed a positive impact on the market. That set is amazing! But I realize large sets may be more difficult to sell to younger users or persons who want to buy them for the younger lego fans. Anyway the fact of all the LOTR line Orthanc is the only still in production (and demand was high since I remember it went on backorder several times. One was just before I bought it) may be an indication of a quite successful set. They know it continues to sell and they keep producing it.
  7. I jump into the conversation to say the BoFA set could have been a chance to actually make a great "army" set but it appears that chance was lost. Just my brief opinion on the "lacking army building sets" matter
  8. I hope that too. You mean the 8097? I have it too and honestly I like it. Nothing compared to UCS, of course. I was not sure about getting another Slave I but I think in the end I'll buy it too. Anyway let's hope the next production will fix the typo on the sticker
  9. They are having a lot of issue with "restocking dates" The demand for the new sets has been much higher than they expected. Anyway, think positive: hopefully in the next production run they will fix the typo on the specification sticker well, at least we can hope
  10. I immediately recognized a WH40K style in your design Imperium style of course. I understand how complicated building a spaceship's interior is, especially if you want to be detailed. Anyway congratulations again
  11. It also comes with an unique helmet we can put on our Clones Trooper/Stormtrooper if we need to set a particular Minifigure (an officer/specialist, for example) apart
  12. I only miss the Hun Warrior and Prospector from Series 12 and I really wanted to get them. They may not be the best of the series but I wanted to use the Hun Warrior as leader of a little mercenary group in a fantasy/historic project. With all the Series 12 bags I bought I found an army of player and swashbuckler Minifigures. Now they are gone from my local online Lego Shop and from any store in my city as well. Thanks for the info So I guess that means Series 13 won't be back in stock very soon. Well at least I'm quite sure there will be another production run
  13. The elves coming "without armor" was one of the reasons I always postponed the purchase of 79012 in "army size". They are nice Minifigures but I like armors a lot, perhaps because of all the hours spent playing Skyrim and Dragon Age where my characters were wearing armor most of the time
  14. Series 12 is officially sold out here (at least on my country's section of Lego shop site) I'm sure Series 13 will be back soon. What puzzled me what the fact they "cancelled" them instead of treating them like "backorder" items. Anyway, I always check Lego shop regularly so I'll keep my eyes open for some "status" update on Series 13
  15. I agree Sadly I got bad news. I just got an email from Lego telling me they had to delete my order of Series 13 Minifigures because they are not currently available. Strangely the site list them as "out of stock, will ship in 30 days" (which usually means: "we'll send them to you later") but they have been removed from my order. I called the customer service and I talked with a very kind lady. She said she has no "official information" since "she knows what we customers know" but her personal opinion is there will be another production run. I'd really love to have those Minifigures. As soon as I notice them on the shelves (I hope I'll find them) I'll buy all I can, just in case It was going to be my favorite of the recent Minifigures series
  16. I got an email from Lego saying the wanted to thank me for have ordered from their site during November 22nd promotion and offered double VIP points on 5th January. Lego costumer service always confirmed this. I don't know it applies to USA too, though. In any case to be eligible you must have purchased on Lego shop (either on site or by phone) or Lego stores on November 22nd
  17. I'm awaiting for series 13 to hit the shelves in my city (little city in what has become a forgotten country, concerning Lego sets releases, among other things) so I today I ordered 16 bags from Lego shop. I can't wait to see what they hold. Anyway, I just read the official background story for the Alien Soldier Minifigure: so brilliant Many funny references to classic Sci-Fi concepts. Really brilliant
  18. Interesting. I guess it works with other countries as well (I live in Italy) I just saw the sets are officially available even to us on the other side of the pond now. Anyway Thanks very much for the info Like I said in an above post, if it may help I can try to make some support/promotion (not the right word but you know what I mean ) of those ideas on my little blog. It's a new one so it doesn't have as many views as those famous blogs but, using Han Solo words "A short help is better than no help at all". What do you think?
  19. Impressive. I really like the "fusion" of many styles. I don't know if it intentional or not but I do recognize styles "inspired" by several Sci-Fi series. Star Wars, Halo, even Warhammer 40K. Intentional effect or not, I really like this design. Congratulations. I'd like to see this battleship actually made
  20. I agree too. I was expecting to get "out of stock" quickly. I noticed even AT-PD, prototype Advanced Tie and two Battle Packs (Geonosis Troopers and Senate Commando). Personally I would have bet the Stormtrooper BP would have sold quickly as well. Anyway I'm not complaining I waited until today (due to that double VIP points offer) and I'm glad I had my 5 Imperial Transport packs to order
  21. I know it's disheartening. Orthanc (which is an amazing set) is the only LORT set still "officially" available from Lego and I fear The Hobbit will follow the same path. I keep seeing the DC sets "suggested" on Lego shop but when I click on them I got "product unavailable" page. I want the Super Girl sets because I want to make a little diorama/scene for a special person and she is a Super Girl fan. But that's another story Regarding LOTR/The Hobbit, I'm afraid they will be gone soon, which is indeed sad. Currently there is no other Fantasy/Historic theme. The "Castle" theme (which honestly was not as great as LOTR and The Hobbit themes) is going out of production soon (well it's de facto out of production as I write this words) I hope Lego will release LOTR/ The Hobbit sets soon or at least another interesting Fantasy theme EDIT: Typos corrected.
  22. I placed an order on Lego shop and the SW sets are 5 Imperial Troop Transports, 3 Shadow Troopers packs and 1 Hailfire droid. However I run into a sort of system bug. I got the order confirmation page with its number, but my order does not appear in the order status and I didn't get email. I called the Customer service and they can't find my order but it is listed in my VIP account history (only the points redeemed) Very strange. They told me to call them tomorrow and they'll sort it out. The transaction on my card got the authorization, though. Beside when I added items to the "bag" the Flower Cart set was not added and the points were not doubled (I was eligible for that promotion too). They say they will fix it too but it's a very strange phenomenon. Rough day for Lego Shop site, it seems. Fingers crossed, I can't wait to add those Minifigures to my growing army. With them I should reach 157 Clone Troopers/Stormtroopers :) EDIT: The problem appears to have been solved. My Grand (well not that grand lol) Brick Army will get its reinforcements soon
  23. If you think it can help I can talk about them on my blog. I don't have so many views like those famous blogs/sites yet because my own blog is very new and I don't have the time required to post a lot and promote on social media like Twitter, Facebook etc, but I can "do my part" to give those project a little support Like Han Solo said "short help is better than no help at all"
  24. I'm glad you liked it I love to make such sort of jokes/parody of my favorite series in the Lego universe. I even made brick comics on them, when I find some free time Congratulations again for your impressive MOC
  25. Two little comic parodies I made just few moments ago Sorry if the photos' lightning is not the best. On the right Path aka "Until General Grievous is spare parts" Revenge is a dish better served cold featuring two arch enemies
