  1. Yes, the box art look pretty good, nice addition for sure. Using that Harry Potter tile for the ship sail was brilliant.
  2. Did you have a specific set or idea in mind when creating this? What I mean is, you were influenced by Castle, any Castle set in particular?
  3. I have never really identified Redbeard and Steve to be related what so ever. This is the 2nd entry that kinda "alludes" to this, which is an interesting and unique take on the lore. The build itself is very nice little scene, I think you captured the feel of your story very well. My only critique, and perhaps you don't have the minifigs to do this, but if you put all the different versions of Redbeard from over the years, that would be fun.
  4. As for the cannons... I don't know about you all, but I don't go around firing my cannons anymore. As such, I appreciate the emblem on them. They look BETTER than the shooting ones IMO.
  5. Sounds like a fine vessel for Steve!!
  6. Apparently its Ironhook that Steve needs to be worried about.
  7. Oohh Steve has dealings with the Armada!! I like that.
  8. Never trust Ironhook. He is one of he most ruthless Pirates of the Lego seas. Redbeard is a choir boy by comparison.
  9. Lol, no. If I don't know a rule in D&D, I will ask my players. If they don't know either, than I just make something up.
  10. So I have to know... Are you indeed a Math wizard? If so, have I reached 25 yet? I've lost track, lol.
  11. I would enjoy seeing a non-shipwrecked version of this vessel. Do you have any ideas on how that would look?
  12. After viewing all the entries (at the time of this post), this one is the by far the largest with the most details. I like the Castle influence.
  13. I love seeing the return of the statue from Barracuda Bay. Nice addition with the green leaf on the eye.
  14. Upon further review, I prefer the regular green palm tree leaves as opposed to the yellow ones. But that's just me.
  15. I like using the molded cannons, I even prefer the non-shooting ones like you used here. I like the emblem.
  16. Yes, I have since seen that.
  17. Very fun little build. That crab Captain Tongs made looks good... Either that or I'm just hungry, lol. He is a member of the Sea Rats you say? I get the feeling this scene takes place on a ship then? I could see this taking place in the kitchen of a vessel.
  18. Really spectacular all around. I don't really have any suggestions to make... It's just all so well done. You said you took 40 pics untill you got the one you were happy with? Also, some of the techniques you mentioned, I assume you have study photography?
  19. I really enjoyed your story here, one of the more creative ones I have read. As for the build, it's a nice little island MOC... Good job there. One possible suggestion, put different arms on Steve. He's already lost his pants, so his shirt shouldn't look so clean. Perhaps yellow arms might bring home the "shipwreck" feel.
  20. This is AMAZING!! I have the original set, and LOVE it!! This is the perfect homage to it, I don't think I would change a single thing. My only critique is on the story side, but the build itself is fantastic.
  21. Beautiful scene, great story, all around very well done, especially for the small category. Every aspect of this entry is really well impressive. The parts usage for the seagulls... Very creative. Perfect version of Steve's Cutter. I'm impressed all around.
  22. Funniest story that I have read so far!! What made you think of that? I agree with others, the build itself seems a little confused. Are we inside or outside? If we are outside, I'd lose the desk and add a palm tree.
  23. Aye, I did see that. I might do something, time will tell Right now I've been giving the creative critic a try. Hopefully I am doing that properly... Im terrible with fine print details, lol.
