  1. JB Speilwaren has a speed build and review of the Tulkun set. He's only uploaded the German version and hasn't uploaded the English version yet so I have no idea what he's saying but at least it's our first look at the Wave of Water sets and it's the set I'm looking forward to the most. It's still expensive for what you get but I don't think it's as bad as it seems at first. The Tulkun and the crab sub are pretty substantial builds and there is more articulation in the Tulkun's tail than I previously expected. Overall I really love this set and I can't wait to get it when it releases but that said, I have $20 in VIP points thanks to Black Friday that I'm definitely going to use to bring the price down to $80 which I think is more reasonable.
  2. While I too prefer molded creatures, given the price of the set and the size the Brachiosaurus needs to be, that's probably out of the question and we all need to start accepting that we aren't going to be getting a gigantic molded Brachiosaurus made of like 6 humongous chunks of plastic. I trust that they can make a brick-built Brachiosaurus look good with new specialized molds for the head.
  3. I doubt it, the body shape isn't right. If anything, we could get a new mold around the same size but I don't know if they'd do that this late in the game. The existing raptor is oversized but it's at least articulated and with all the raptors we've had until now, I don't really want them to start over and make it harder to integrate all the existing raptors in a display.
  4. This is a dream wave! Literally, all of these sets that people have suggested in this thread. It kinda feels.too good to be true but I'll take it! The prices don't dound bad either, of course we won't know intil we see the sets. The Brachiosaurus set by far has me the most excited and for $80 I basically expect a brick-built Brachiosaurus as the only build in the set with a brand new mold(or set of molds for top and bottom jaw) along with minifigs of Allen Grant and Ellie Sattler.
  5. Well I for one am huge fan of the alien animals and I don't really care at all about the RDA vehicles and stuff. Most of it is pretty generic some-what-futuristic sci-fi. The Pandoran wildlife and fauna is what stood out the most to me and is what I think of first when Avatar comes to mind. I absolutely love the Way of Water wave and plan on getting most of the sets except the village and the Mako. The Tulkun set is by far my favorite out of all of the sets from this theme, I absolutely love the space whale design and plus we already know that it's more than just a "space whale" and will actually be a pretty important character in the movie and the franchise going forward. I've always wanted a LEGO whale and even though it's not an Earth whale, I'm still extremely happy about it. Frankly when it comes to any theme other than Star Wars I am drawn to creatures over vehicles and even though I love mechs as a concept(I'm a huge Gundam fan), LEGO oversaturates their portfolio with mechs every year from so many themes. I will say there should have been at least one more RDA set, preferably of the Sea Dragon with some more Recoms. Who knows, maybe we’ll get another set down the road with the Sea Dragon that includes spoilers from the film but the focus of the sets --much like the films-- should be on Pandora and it's wildlife.
  6. A $10 "Headquarters" so a figure and a weapon rack basically... Also, only $35 for what I presume will be the Bowie seems extremely low. Very odd.
  7. Agreed, I quite like the Titanothere and would like to see it in a set.
  8. I definitely want Luthen's ship. That's a much more worthy set than what we got. I really like Luthen and I want his figure but I don't know if the Andor set we have is really worth it. Saw, Two Tubes and a Partisan X-Wing would be an awesome set too.
  9. I disagree, at least for the Batmobile from the Batman. The build was actually quite impressive and complex. It does look far better in person than it does in pictures and feels like it's on par with the Tumbler set. I actually have the 2 sets displayed next to eachother on my shelf and I think they look great together.
  10. Wow, I love Hay's Titan Mech and the Earth and Ice Dragons, especially the head design for the Earth Drag9n. The otange wings look weird and slapped on but hopefully it looks better in person. I'm still kicking myself for not getting the original Earth Dragon so I might try to pick this one up at some point. I kinda like Kai's mech and bike and I wonder if this gives us an idea of what to expect the Ghost Rider mech and bike set for Marvel. Not gonna lie, the skeleton villains are pretty boring but the new set of bone weapon pieces are really cool.
  11. The interview made some sense to me. Really DC is mostly to blame here. Not only have they primarily been focusing on adult fans for the past several years, the brand has been tarnished by mediocre to awful movies for most of the DCEU. While sets based on the comics and cartoons theoretically still could have been made, the blunders with the DCEU negatively affected the brand as a whole. While a few recent films have been big improvements like Suicide Squad, the brand as a whole has a lot of work to do to turn things around and all the restructuring and chaos behind the scenes hasn't helped. Could the have made sets for Black Adam? Absolutely. Could they have made sets that were pseudo-inspired by Suicide Squad like the did for the first film? Most definitely. Based on the interview it seems while they may still have confidence in the brand overall and in the potential for new DC LEGO products, they also essentially admitted that they aren't very confident in anything that isn't Batman.
  12. As much as I would love to, they've made it pretty clear it's a variant timeline at best. I do hope we see many of the SHIELD characters return ESPECIALLY Robbie but as of right now it is most certainly not canon to the core timeline.
  13. I'm glad to hear it, I love Star Wars aliens but not enough of them are given major roles outside of animation. Fingers-crossed we get some Ithorians next season.
  14. Man, this talk of wanting Luthen's shop reminds me how badly I want a Doc Ondar's Den of Antiquitys set... Well the 501st helmet with holes and the blue visor certainly line up with the leaks. Hopefully that means we start seeing some other stuff soon.
  15. Agreed, it's great to get more comic-based sets. As much as I love the MCU, it's incredibly limiting and a lot of characters I love, like Ghost Rider, have yet to appear in the MCU.
  16. And a video game too, plus it's very likely he'll be in the sequel.
  17. It's Robbie not Ronnie and considering the set includes a motorcycle it is most definitely NOT Robbie. Blue flames would mean Danny Ketch and that would be great considering we have yet to get him and using the version of him when he had blue flames would help differentiate him from Robbie and Johnny whom we've already gotten. As a mega Ghost Rider fan, I'm very excited to see pictures of this new set, hopefully it won't be much longer before we see it.
  18. It's also important to note that Thor had a golden Mjolnir in the comics for a little while(and had a golden arm) so it could just be for a new comic Thor figure which would be pretty cool.
  19. Wow, I love these especially the space whale!! The Ilu set is an easy buy, especially at that price. The whale I mifht wait for a discount, just depends on how good the movie is and how things work out with other set releases early next year.
  20. I got the war whale I wanted!... just not in the theme that I wanted... still, that Avatar space whale is pretty dang cool. Really, really makes me wish we had gotten something similar for the WF sets.
  21. Personally I would have preferred if the TIE Interceptor vs Fang Fighter were split into 2 cheaper sets rather than 1 expensive one but if this allows us to get some extra minifigures or something that would be nice. For some reason I never considered the possibility of Tales of the Jedi sets but a couple small sets would be really cool. Maybe a couple $20-$30 duel sets, one each for Jedi Master Dooku and Ahsoka.
  22. With the dlc characters for LSWtSS being shown, not only does that Captain Rex look like it's based on a new official figure but Cad Bane's tBoBF design absolutely looks like it's based on an upcoming figure and really gives me hope we might actually get another tBoBF set, hopefully one based on the finale with a Rancor. While I really want that Krrsantan and Cobb Vanth to be based on real figures, to me they look more like they are trying to imitate LEGO's design aesthetic rather than being based on actual figures. TT has gotten really good at imitating LEGO's aesthetic over the years but their designs still feel slightly off when compared to the official figures.
  23. Even if we don't get Kang in the Quantumania set I'm not too worried as I'm sure we will get our fill of Kangs in the next few years just like Thanos. Hopefully this time we'll get more unique variants though as I believe we are supposed to get different actual Kang variants in the different films, not just costume changes.
  24. Yeah, the Hulkbuster looks pretty bad. This did not need to exist. Period. I do not understand what LEGO is thinking with these $500+ sets. It just seems like they are throwing stuff at the wall and seeing what sticks. Someone who is in the market for a $500+ Hulkbuster is not going to get this, they are going to get a high end collectible like any of the Hot Toys figures that have tons of accurate detail, articulation and accessories and if I recall correctly, are significantly cheaper. This isn't like the Atari that can get by with charm and the fact that it's made of LEGO that would make someone consider buying it over a real, working Atari for much cheaper. This thing looks worse than the last UCS-style Hulkbuster which was cheaper, had a better exclusive figure and had a bunch of neat accessories.
  25. Wow, I even own the Hydra Stomper and somehow forgot about it. I don't think it's a bad set, we just get so many mechs I guess they all sorta blend together at some point. Still, it's weird we got 2 regular sets and half a cmf for What If and just half a cmf for the rest of the first wave of Disney+ shows. I really don't get the logic there but I'm sure that's probably as much of a Marvel issue as it is a LEGO issue. I happen to like Robbie's face print, I think it's a good LEGO-ification of his comic book design. Considering it's called Ghost Rider with mech and bike Robbie is off the table. It's either another Johnny Blaze or our first Danny Ketch. Based on our limited info, it seems as though it is a mech like the normal $10 mechs but with a bike large enough for the mech to ride it, hence the set being $35. I wouldn't count on any other figures.
