Jurassic World 2022 - Rumors & Discussion
Toa Palpo replied to Clone OPatra's topic in LEGO Licensed
Yeah my immediate thought was "wow, replace the head with the Baryonyx's and you have yourself a Spinosaurus!" That's absolutely what I think LEGO will do. Stegosaurus will require a lot more effort but I do hope it has some studs at least. For something like Giga or Spino, I fully expected LEGO to slap a new spine piece onto the T-Rex or Indominus body, not make a whole new body mold. I do hope we got some more Camp Cretateous sets, I really want an adult Bumpy and wild Ben. I doubt they'd remold the Ankylosaurus slightly to give her the signature small horn but it would be great if they did. -

That is an awesome set! The Gigantasaurus and Therazinosaurus look fantastic, lo e the new molds and pleasantly surprised the Thera hS brick-built moveable claws. The buildings look fantastic too, really digging the builds. Even the weird helicopter-thing is really cool. For some reason it really reminds me of the movie Oblivion. -

While both sets look good for what they are, they're both easy passes for and that's even before you take into account the insane prices of these too. Hopefully this at least means we'll be getting a glimpse at other summer sets soon though. -

I love the Buzz figure!! It looks just as excellent as the Zurg bot that leaked awhile back. I'm really looking forward to the Lightyear line(and the movie for that matter!) -

Sorry, I should have specified. I meant his Clone Wars armor from the 2D Clone Wars miniseries. The Gunship Mace is pretty much exactly what I expect though sadly. I do wonder if the tank will end up having purple markings, if so that would certainly make it more interesting to me since I already have the last fighter tank so having a different build and a different color scheme makes me feel a little better about getting another one. Overall, it's still such a bizarre choice for a set, especially when there are so many canon Clone Legions that have yet to be properly represented in LEGO. This feels like another case of the non-canon Sandspeeder set that was inspired by the old Kenner toy. Heck, maybe this set is actually canon and will show up in a future Star Wars project but I doubt it. I mean, if they want3d to make purple Clones, why didn't they just do Ki Adi Mundi's 21st Nova Corps? That's o e I've always wanted to see in LEGO. -

I wonder if Mace Windu might be included in the fighter tank? If so I hope it's him in his Clone Wars armor! -

Those troopers look fantastic! Definitely looking forward to whatever set they end up coming in if it's not the fighter tank. -

There's another new rumor from legohio on Instagram so take it with a grain of salt. Boba's Rancor vs Scorponek Droid. He claims the Rancor will be a new mold closer in size and similarly to TLBM Killer Croc rather than be the larger Rancor mold we had previously. No idea where that info is coming from but we shall see. Personally I'd be fine with that, regardless Boba's Rancor was going to need a new mold that can accommodate a figure and a bridle and getting a set based on that finale was definitely going to happen. Personally I hope the Rancor is dark bluish gray or sand blue with a tan belly because it's DEFINITELY not dark brown like Pateesa was. I'm also okay with it being smaller in size since Boba's Rancor is much younger and smaller than Jabba's Pateesa as well. Getting a set that's just Boba's Rancor and a Scorponek Droid with maybe 1 or 2 figs presumably seems like something that would be decently affordable. I honestly was thinking they'd make a much larger "battle for Mos Espa" type of set or something with a Rancor and Scorponek but with a bunch of figures and side builds to make people have to spend more for the Rancor and whatever new figures would come with it. -

This is an excellent character pack! 5 decent figures for $15 and a nice little build for Meik, I like it! -

I'm okay with this if it can give us a proper brick-buit Meik in his gladiator suit. -

So the new Thor set... what. Is. That. It looks absolutely awful, plus there are no new figures or variants of figures. Super easy pass, definitely getting the incredible Goat Boat set though. I really wish Gorr looked better, he desperately needs a black hood and cape but maybe he won't have those in the film? He just looks so bland as a figure, I mean he doesn't even have leg printing like all of the other figures get. I see people saying it could be Mangog but that would be one heck of a downgrade in his design. Whatever it is just looks thrown together last minute, though I have no doubt if it appears in the movie it'll look substantially better. -

Another problem I just realized is this piece is going to look 10x worse on Yoda. Are they going to make another one of these for him down the line? It's hust so strange. I'm hoping this piece is actually intended for a different theme, like Ninjago something where characters get trapped in bubbles. Maybe it's something the villains do or it's a new power of Nya's. Probably not but man, I'm not feeling this piece as a force ghost solution. -

If that piece is real, that has to be the most bizarre and disappointing way to do force ghosts. I would vastly have preferred opaque figures using sand blue and dark blue. Not only does this look incredibly strange but the figure can't move or do anything stuck inside that peice. -

I got Boba's throne room from Kohl's yesterday, I'm very happy with it overall. I really do hope we get a small expansion with his bacta tank room. -

Agreed, it would be genius. While I typically hate the minidolls, this would be a perfect use of those parts. I don't know if it's the real deal or just a very good custom of Taun We but it's on Instagram in the usual places. Either way, it really sells me on the idea of it and looks fantastic. -

It's the same hair piece designed specifically for Makari in the Marvel Eternals sets. I think it looks fine, it's somewhat accurate except for the lack of bangs but it at least captures the intricate braids she has fairly well. I'd say it's more accurate to her Bad Batch appearance. -

Those look great! There's so much potential in making Fallen Order sets. Hopefully the $100 BD-1 is just the start. I assume the BD-1 figure that comes with it will have red markings instead of the blue that is in the N-1 Starfighter set since that's the default color scheme for him. -

I really like the N-1, it's far from perfect but it it's best N-1 we've gotten yet in terms of accuracy to the overall shape. It's absolutely overpriced and definitely needed more drumlaquered silver pieces. Pelli looks great, I don't mind that hair piece, it's better than the affro piece for sure. I also like that she has the utility belt piece. I really hate that they refuse to give us a proper Darksaber. A plain black katana would be better than this... sigh. I appreciate that Din has a jetpack but he's missing his cape. If they can manage to make OT Boba Fett with a jetpack and shoulder cape, there's no excuse why they can't do the same for Din Djarrin. I LOVE the BD droid mold! It looks so good and I can't wait to get it in more colors, LEGO pleeaase give us proper Fallen Order sets soon! -

Yeah that's definitely a bit frustrating but I'm hopeful we'll get more in the future. There was a lot of really cool stuff in the show that deserves to get made. Also, I would greatly prefer if they brought back the Rancor mold instead of brick-built, perhaps with a slightly modified body to make it easier to have a rider and have a stud on wither side of the face for the bridle. The PPP for the fighter is definitely really rough. Some of those better be drumlaquered silver. I'm also curious how many of those are going to be rather large parts. Surely it can't be many without compromising the shape. I never got any of the past N-1 fighters because none of them have ever gotten the shape right. Edit: Sorry for the double post -

I'm very much looking forward to Mando's modified N-1, the figure line up sounds solid though there not being any side builds means this is a very expensive single person fighter. I don't want it to be massively over-sized but I also don't want to feel like I'm being ripped off by paying $60 for a small fighter... It would definitely be surprising if this releases March 1st but I wouldn't be mad at it. Side note, it blows my mind the hate that the show got despite everything it gave us. So what if it had weird pacing and a few minor issues? It was incredible for everything else. I get so sick of how ficle Star Wars fans are and how quickly they forget how good we've got it now. It's also the whole "if it's not perfect then it's trash" mentality people have now. -

Yeah the new pictures make it look even better. I'm excited to pick this set up. I 100% agree, I hope they plan to expand it. Like I've said before, they could easily make a $20 set of the Bacta tank room that can connect on top of the throne room as the roof appears designed in such a way to allow for this possibility. I missed out on the last Jabba's palace though I thankfully have the Rancor pit so I'm really looking forward to getting Boba's bigger and better version. -

Yeah I straight up ignored that one, there's no way that would be the case unless it was a 4+ set. The shrunken. Boba's version could barely fit him in it and there's no way they're going to give is Jango's and not be able to fit kid Boba in it too and the fact that this set will have fewer pieces than even the tiny Firespray, forget it. I do hope we get Jango's Slave I soon though but I'm hoping for something more along the lines of the anniversary Slave I. -

That's true and promobricks suggested it might come in the other bobf set as the other BD droid which would aslo be great but, man if they're willing to give us a large brick-built BD-1, surely there's hope for getting other Fallen Order sets. You might be right, especially if we potentially get more Mandalorian sets like we are with the Dark Trooper Attack, there is a ton of stuff from season 2 we still haven't gotten and season 3 might be airing at the end of the year. There's going to be so much Star Wars content that inevitably some stuff isn't going to get good set coverage for awhile. With a lot of the series though it seems like initially they'll get one or 2 sets that are non spoiler-y and there will be a year delay for the spoiler-y stuff so that might help spread things out a bit so series aren't competing as much for attention.
