LEGO Star Wars 2023 Set Discussion - READ FIRST POST!!!

Oh wow, this is incredible! It definitely did not need to be $45 but what it does include is great. The only thing it seems to be missing is a figure of the Rahkshi/Greivous thing that can integrate into the crab droid. Hopefully it actually does and it just isn't known because the info is based on just the one image. I would have also loved to see the pram be included. Very happy about the new Dark saber piece and Bo with arm printing. -

Did the Brachiosaurus leak somewhere? I don't see anything in the usual places. It seems unlikely anyone would have one in hand this soon. -

There's also a couple Paras on the box art of all the sets too so that lends more credence to the possibility of us getting one because otherwise it seems like a really strange inclusion. -

I love these sets, especially the Brachiosaurus set!!! The color choice is weird and the fixed in place legs are unexpected but ai absolutely love this set of molds and the set overall is fantastic. I wasn't really expecting such a huge tree but it's nice that this set works for 2 different iconic scenes from the film. The Triceratops set is my 2nd favorite, the Ford Explorer will be very nice to get and the new Triceratops looks great. I really didn't know if they would include the dung pile or not but they sure did and it's hilarious that they gave Ian Malcolm a shovel. The visitor's center at least has a very nice facade and the Dilophosaurus set is nice. Overall I am very happy with this wave. -

The Snubfighter is overpriced by $10 but it looks good, I just wish it had more color. It looked like they had red on them in the show. The figures look good but the reused face for both is just stupid. Overall I like it and I'm getting it. The microfighter looks awful and is absurdly overpriced. Mando will come in the $100 set I have no doubt so this is an easy pass. -

Looks like the Klatooinian to me. Both figures look good and it's nice to see they both get leg printing. Hopefully there's at least a 3rd figure. Greef would be the most likely. -

I totally agree, save the new alien molds for something more deserving--- like Gorian Shard! Seriously, I hope we get him and his pirate ship at some point. -

You shut your mouth! I badly want some awesome Blade sets for the movie. To be fair, you are conveniently leaving out the very good Thor boat set. At least there was that and it came with great figures. -

We are definitely long overdue for a CIS bp. I could see heavy battle droids from Battlefront 2 being included in the same way we got heavy troopers in the new 501st bp. We're long overdue for a Crab Droid so that would be perfect for the build of the set and throw in a Droideka too. I don't know if they would consider more SBD, Commando Droids or Magna Guards but they would be great too. While it likely won't matter to LEGO since they're being weirdly allergic to Star Wars video games, the fact that CIS droids are being heavily featured in Jedi Survivor at least makes those droids relevant in 2023, not to mention a recent episode of the Bad Batch. -

There's a better picture of the blue Mandalorian from the Fang Fighter set and man does it look good. Double-sided head and some nice, if unnecessary back printing. The helmet especially looks good from different angles. I can't wait to see the whole set and the other figures that come with it. -

I love this and I want an entire line of capital ships in this style! It's definitely overpriced but I'd be way more willing to pay $70 for these over the helmets. -

The more we learn about this wave, the more exciting it is. The Brachiosaurus set especially has me extremely excited! I'm very pleasantly surprised it will be fully molded. If I get no other Jurassic set this year, I'm for sure getting that one. -

Well that's an easy pass. We didn't need a remake of Red 5 when there are so many more vehicles that are deserving of the UCS treatment. -

I agree whole-heartedly. The newer style of Clone helmet is fine. It's not perfect but to call it awful and boycotting them is hilariously dramatic. And I agree about the holes in the helmet. For crying out loud, we finally get a phase 2 helmet that allows for attachments and people still complain. I very seriously doubt the ship is Yaddle's. For one thing, the ship she used is possibly the least interesting Star Wars ship ever created. Even if Yoda’s starfighter is random, Yoda is an iconic character and making him readily available in a cheap set is a good move on LEGO's part and they know Jedi Starfighters sell well. Does it make sense with the recent slate of Star Wars content? No, but it definitely makes sense for LEGO's bottom line. -

That's almost so accurate it hurts. Also, agreed and I'm one of the few people who actually like the character and read his comics for years. It just makes me sad that he'll forever be a joke and a meme. He would have been PERFECT for a Werewolf-By-Night-esque Halloween special. Ah well. -
The Muppets cmf would probably be the closest. Regarding the existing Mario system, I would love a Wario starter pack just like we've gotten for Mario, Luigi and Peach. I can't imagine them just stopping there and not making any more new starter courses. Regarding wether ot not we ever get minifigs, Mario should have mid-sized legs and I think a molded head would be best. I just have yet to see a minifig head solution I'm satisfied with.

Man, I want to love Baymax but he just does not work as a minifig. I'm still getting him but they needed to at least give him a "belly" piece, like a new mold that goes over the whole torso like Chewbacca. The arms are at least a nice touch and I like his little charging station. -

Guys, guys, you're missing the obvious, it's a pack of five figures and a mountain made of BURPs for them to fight on top of!/s It's probably going to be quite awhile before we know what it is but I would hope it has a decent number of figures given all the characters involved in the movie. Then again, it could wind up like the Quantumania set... -

I have the original so unless the build is something special and/or includes some exciting minifigs, I don't know if I'll pick that up. -

I always think it's finny and ridiculous when people get up in arms about PPP before even seeing what a set looks like as if PPP means ANYTHING without context. I would imagine the Swamp Speeder will use quite a few larger curved pieces and maybe it even has pieces in new colors, new molds, or even a couple printed pieces that would help justify the PPP. I do have high hopes for it having 327th Clones if for no other reason than the new macrobinocular piece. Give us Bly, Aayla and 1 or 2 generic 327th and I'll be very happy. -

*rolls eyes* considering TBoBF had higher viewership numbers than Mando season 2 and selling anything with Boba Fett in it prints money, I don't think they're exactly afraid to produce TBoBF sets... No, it's loooong overdue and the more things he appears in, the more glaring his omission from sets is. Right now I think our best chance is the possibility he might show up in Ahsoka in flashbacks and/or as old man Rex and maybe he'll be in one of those sets. Either way, I'm so glad I have Phase II Rex from years ago. The Fondor is too awesome for LEGO to NOT do eventually. That said, I wouldn't expect it until next year as I doubt it was something LEGO had prior knowledge of. -

Swamp Speeder is likely a buy from me, same with the Boba Fett mech because I'm a sucker for anything Boba Fett. Speaking of, where is my battle for Mos Espa set!? Come on, Boba Fett riding a Rancor, weilding a gaffi stick with Krsantan v.s. Cad Bane, a Scorponek Droid and some Pykes, that's too awesome NOT to happen and it would sell VERY well. Anyway, the Ahsoka sets are very likely buys. I'm surprised they're so expensive. Everything else is either an easy pass or beyond my price range. -

I love these sets, almost makes up for how disappointing the Antman set is ---almost. The only major disappointment is no High Evolutionary. Gamora probably should have been in there somewhere but I honestly don't know how much of her we'll get in the movie and we've had plenty of Gamoras in the past. I really like the design of the Bowie and I really like baby Rocket's ship. I wish we had gotten a new raccoon mold for him though instead of reusing the Friends piece but at least the printing makes it look a little better. For $35, this set really should have included the High Evolutionary. And an otter! The Guardian's base is a perfect little $10 set. What little of it there is looks good and I love the new Groot figure. It's very similar to the one from the Benatar but for tiny fraction of the price. I love that they recolored the Prince of Persia spikey shoulder piece for him too. -
While true, it's specifically the fact that they created a pack of weapons in their own separate bag in the exact same way they have done for Ninjago, Monkie Kid and Star Wars that points to being reused in multiple sets. LEGO has never created a parts pack like that and not put it in multiple sets.
