LEGO Star Wars 2023 Set Discussion - READ FIRST POST!!!

I dearly hope so. I too want Krrsantan but more importantly for me, I want Boba's Rancor and the live action version of Cad Bane as well. Also, maybe we could get Boba in the correct armor color this time too. I think if there's a benefit to any potential lulls in content because of the strikes, it's a chance for LEGO to go back and revisit previous shows and seasons and give us at least one more set for each. The Battle of Mos Espa is at the top of my list and the Fonder Haulcraft is pretty high up there as well. -

And here I'm still waiting for a set based on the finale for Book of Boba Fett... come on LEGO, a set with Boba Fett, a Rancor, Cad Bane, Krrsantan, some Pykes, and a Scorponek Droid would sell like hot cakes! -

The UCS Venator looks phenomenal, wish I could afford it... and had space for it... -

Agreed, though unfortunately the Arnim Zola from the show looks almost nothing like any other version of Arnim Zola so won't really be very useful, unlike the Rhino minifig. -

Agreed. Personally I would much rather have more prequel/Clone Wars sets but they should sprinkle in the occasional ST set. At the very least some small to mid-sized sets. I'm honestly just as surprised as anyone that the final dual of tRoS still hasn't been made, nor has there been a set with Babu Frik yet, though honestly I think given its popularity, we are probably more likely to get an Anzellan microfigure mold from a Mandalorian season 3 set that would then be reprinted as Babu Frik later down the line like they did with BD-1. -

It looks yellow to me, albeit with the new frosting that they do to lightsaber blades now. I think the fact it is being shown in front of blue and gray makes it look more green than it should be. -
I'm very glad to see we're getting more Avatar sets! I wonder if they'll only be dlbased on the 2 movies or maybe some of them might be based on Frontiers of Pandora? That could be really cool, especially with some of the new creatures represented in it. If it's just the first 2 movies then I absolutely want a Titanothere!

Given how violent those scenes were I wouldn't count on it. -

I definitely still love the T6 and the LAAT but they certainly have their issues. It honestly doesn't bother me thst much that the T6 can't hold more than 1 figure. It's certainly not ideal but I'm more annoyed by only one side of the wing being detailed and the underside left completely plain. What is there does look very good and very detailed and the minifigs absolutely carry this set. Also disappointed but certainly not surprised that there's no face for Marrok. If his face does get revealed in the show, it should be pretty easy to find one for him. I honestly wish Huyang was done like the medical droids using droid arms and legs with a specialized torso/head mold but the figure looks good for what it is. Visually the LAAT looks phenomenal with the only cosmetic issues I have are the nose section looks messy and the bubble turrets on the wings being stud shooters looks really bad but it'll be super easy to replace those with either clear or gray dome pieces. The size of the ship is definitely more accurate than any past versions but for the price, it badly needed more figures or some small side builds, like some crates of gear to go under the cockpit in that empty storage space or a BARC to slide into the back service ramp. Regardless, this thing needed at least 1 or 2 more Shock Troopers. I can forgive the lack of pilots since canonicaly regular Shock Troopers have piloted the LAAT but comparing this to the AT-TE it's absurd how stingey they are being with the figures on this. -

Yeah no, I'm just going to grab 3 boxes and get the rest on bricklink. -

Goliath's head sadly doesn't look much like Lawrence Fishburne so either LEGO did a poor job of recreating him, or it's someone else under the helmet in What If S2. -

Yeah but what if it's actually huge and uses a bunch of City plane parts like the huge wings just pointing backwards, large fins and several large hull pieces? PPP means nothing. Also there could be a bigfig in there too. Does it look rough on paper? Sure but let's not grab the pitchforks until we see what parts are included in that count. -

I'm not bothered by Wolverine's hair since it's not like I'm ever going to display him without the cowl and I have the old piece. Heck, now that I have so many Wolverines I might as well display one of them without the cowl but it sure isn't going to be this super detailed one. I really like these promotional images, it's such a fun, wholesome thing that I feel like LEGO doesn’t do enough of anymore. -

It's supposed to have a bit of forward rake to it. Way off the source??? It's EXTREMELY accurate to the source. If by "inaccurate" you mean needs the cyborg pilot and a cage, that doesn't make the set inaccurate, just incomplete and not exactly hard to make those with a handful of spare parts. If you're referring to the lack of rust, that's kinda subjective and would have resulted in a bunch of stickers and just a few brown pieces scattered into the build. No thanks, I'll stick with the sticker-less set we got. The Spider Tank itself is a great build and super fun to mess with. It's well-built, sturdy and the skittering legs function is so cool and fun to mess with. I personally really love the set. For the size of the build and figure count and quality I think it compares well to other $50 Star Wars sets in recent years like Boba Fett's Starship. -

Yeah "Venomized" Green Goblin seems like massive wasted potential when we could have gotten Red Goblin... -

The printed instead of physical kamas are the biggest offender to me. The tiny lines of print look awful. If they at least used dual molded legs with black up top to pair with it that would at least help but as you've noted, LEGO refuses to give Star Wars figures dual-molded legs for the most part even if the part already exists in the necessary color combinations. I still would much rather have cloth kamas and I think if they switched to the softer material they've been using for capes, that would solve the issue with them getting in the way of figures sitting. -

Agreed, it's definitely a disappointing decision but at least the wings can be rotated to show the good side in any angle. It's not a big deal to me personally as the T6 is going to get mounted on my wall and the underside will never be seen again. The product videos do make the Gunship look a lot better in my opinion. I'm absolutely going to get it at some point but I'm prioritizing the T6 on Sept 1st. -

Man, I really love this cmf. Werewolf-By-Night, Moon Knight, and Mr. Knight are all phenomenal and I cannot wait to get them! Agatha is also great and I want her mainly for the Darkhold but she too will go in my Midnight Sons diorama along with the Moon boys and the wolfman. I'll pick up a few blind boxes but I'll probably get most of them off of bricklink later. -

I love the new gunship! Is it perfect? No, but it's still very good and I like the figures though once again they are extremely stingy on how many we're getting. It should have also included 2 pilot clones at minimum. -

Wow, so many very exciting sets next year! Another No Way Home set that gives us Lizard and a brick-built Sandman. A buildable Green Goblin and hlider actually sounds awesome. The X-Jet and X-Mansion are absolutely a dream come true. -

I think people need to keep their expectations low for the podrace diorama. I think realistically what we will likely get is anakin's and sebulba's pod racers going through the stone pillars. As much as I eould love to see other podracers and part of the starting track included, I don't see it happening at this price point. As for the Clones vs Droids bp I do hope they've fixed the clips on the Super Battle Droids. That's really all I ask. They badly need to do the same to the standard Battle Droid too but I don't see them doing that. I mean we've had the same Battle Droids for 25 years and the only mold change was the integration of some strait, upward-facing blaster arms. The clips are in dire need of strengthening, all of my Battle Droids new and old are so loose and fall apart so easily. As for the clones, I'll take anything but 501st, 212th or 51st. As much as I love them, we've had those guys enough. Also, I know some hate them but I hope they keep the helmet holes forever. After begging for them for years, we finally have them and people(cough cough MandR) are still mad. It's so nice to have the option to attach accessories to any clone helmet we want now. -

Wow there are some exciting sets on the horizon! I have no doubt a new Clones vs Droids bp is going to be great, I just hope it's finally a new legion this time. Definitely glad to hear about Super Battle Droids returning, now can we finally get a Crab Droid?? Grogu's rescue has great potential. I forsee a BARC Speeder and hopefully Grogu's pram alongside Kelleran Beck and a few Clone Troopers, hopefully Shock Troopers since we already have a ton of 501st. A buildable Droideka sounds fantastic. A Boonta Eve podrace diorama sounds very promising but I of course would prefer new minifig-scale podracer sets. Maybe we'll get some later in the year, fingers-crossed. I'm very glad we're getting more ship models like the Super Star Destroyer but the Falcon seems like a strange choice. The Tantive IV on the other hand sounds great. I do hope the Skeleton Crew set is good and offers some cool minifigs but we still know so little about that show so we shall see. The rest of the stuff doesn't really interest me much. -

Yeah the Sentinel isn't happening people. I will say the head that comes with Wolverine will be a nice option to swap out with the existing Sentinel for those of us who have it. Who knows, maybe they'll release a new one at some point that will also be compatible with it. -

I couldn't agree more. I would have loved to have gotten Elsa Bloodstone for example. I'd kill for a LEGO Man-Thing but he'd need to be a bigfig or brick-built with some specialized molds and definitely wouldn't fit in a cmf. Scarlet Scarab and Ms. Marvel also would have been good to replace the other 2 X-Men. That said, if they had made a proper X-Men set, there's absolutely no way we would have gotten nearly as much detail on these figures. We're lucky we ever get leg printing on non-cmf Marvel minifigs because somehow LEGO has always missed the point that the superheros are the most important part of a superhero line... You're missing Werewolf-By-Night's hair/ear piece, that's also brand new. Also, anyone who hasn't seen the special is seriously, seriously missing out. It's not even very long there's no excuse not to watch it!
