    ahh well, no matter either way. i checked last night and the friends advent had gone to out of stock, as the had the bauble with the mini house inside.

    i thought the same, but just in case. got enough other stuff to qualify for the house either way. i would likely forget to check if they werent in there.

    shipping in new zealand was $60NZD for the winter village toy shop and the train promo. took about 10 days to arrive.

    spent the day working on this after it finally arrived. like others, im pleased with the new designs for the roof and tree. much more sturdy. i didnt use the supplied tree base, though, as i put mine on base plates and have come up with a new design. i also put the bench on the same plate as the tree and made a little santas grotto, with photographer and two kids, on one corner. simple but pleasing. i adore the printed sign and new carolers face prints. i do wish the man had a non-singing face like the woman does. i like their new outfits too, very smart. was able to mirror build it and will likely place each at opposite ends of the display like bookends. please forgive the photo quality. normally im taking photos of trains and can get in closer. also please forgive the state of disrepair of the original set. everything gets moved around during and when packing up displays.

    thanks for those pics. loving both sets, especially sven. pity that oakens trading post comes without oaken, but i can see why, price wise. love the colors on the new castle.

    not sure if its been mentioned, but studio ghibli. would be amazing to see in lego film... howls moving castle, the actual castle, would be one epic build. [guess what im watching, lol] any of them would be a dream come true.

    any idea of the australasian date for the gingerbread house? the train should go live on the 22nd for us, but google wouldnt help with the house. edit: ordered the new toy shop and got the train this morning. looking forward to both sets.

    amazing!!! i love how youve "powered" the music box. the whole thing is just incredible. something i would buy in a heartbeat.

    o wow. those are all incredible!! until i went back and read again, i thought they were all built by both of you together, not individually. i like how you have used head, shoulders and such as the scenery/backdrop. [cant think of the correct word, hope you know what i mean!] hard to pick a favourite, but cocytus and lethe both catch my eye.
