  1. they look good. will need a couple of bigfoot to live with the yetis in the winter village. the spectre looks like a goofy dementor.
  2. thats incredible!!! dare i ask if you plan to build sven?!
  3. im just happy to get another building. even if its a toy shop, it can be repurposed easily enough. the toys can go to santas workshop or underneath the tree. just a small slip in... i got changing seasons and it looks great in the winter theme. they include enough white pieces to completely cover the green baseplate. looking forward to adding it to the village.

  5. nice work!! he looks great, but is he strawberry scented?
  6. awesomeness!! will make sure i pick him up. great to see.
  7. he looks amazing!! great job. wonder what the beast would look like lego-ised?
  8. he may have shoes that fit under the foot, the same as the ice and roller skates.
  9. lovely work! really like the pose on the first one, very realistic. are your build solid or hollow in the middle? i was just considering the weight and balance of these.
  10. not a fan of the film as such, but like the concept here. could see picking up dorothy and co for display "easter eggs". plus im sure the yellow brick road could be useful elsewhere, assuming they go that far with full sets.
  11. incredible! modern but nostalgic all at once. thanks for sharing
  12. who is riley? baymax and hiro are both disney, not pixar and i think baymax would be hard to pull off. given his size i think he would come off looking like comic book guy... massive head, standard minifig body with printed large-belly line. but yes, a line i would love love love to see come to life, well and truly.
  13. thats an idea. would love to see a CMF line of these its been bugging me, but who is the girl between stitch and hercules?
  14. since theyve already done toy story, other non-princess disney franchises arent too far fetched, though i do wonder how they would manage characters like stitch with the huge ears.
  15. omg, thats gorgeous!!
  16. very handsome build!
  17. nicely done with the mosaic and the color changing sky.
  18. this is the most recent set up, last christmas so no palace. will be shown this year for the first time. i have the set up at my model railway club and due to being outside, everything has to get packed up before going home, and then re set up the next night. thankfully, the show is only 2 nights. the first year it was a basic oval with a bridge. its grown heaps since then, mainly to accomodate the buildings. the track is a tomy thomas the tank, with winter village in the middle and cartoon characters scattered throughout. its like a giant "wheres waldo". quite amazing what the kids see and pick up on the track is a fresh build each year, and often changes slightly over the two nights as i cant always remember what bit of track went where.
  19. fair enough. its not anything the public would notice so im not too worried about not filling the other space. ive got him on the picnic rug from the set, and the corner stud on that fills the other space. he does look better with his feet. with the joysticks, i was just glad the bases were white. the stick part is black, which is close enough. the display he will be in is busy enough that it wont stand out. the wave and posability was more important to me than the color, but i can understand why you wouldnt want to compromise on that.
  20. i didnt centre it, just placed it behind one of the others. i didnt follow the instructions to that extent, so skimped using a white stud somewhere to use it for olaf. yes, i guess it is the joystick. in the set, it was to be used at the smoothie bar, and is often used on minifig scale toys as remote control aerials. i just liked the fact i could make him wave. the supplied arms i felt made him look like a generic snowman with olafs head plonked on top, lol. mine is for public display, so if i can get the characters to "interact" with the public, so much the better. the white stud feet give him a little more height, which also helps make him more true to character.
  21. i did that with mine, and also used the antenna pieces for his arms as they are more posable. he looks better that way. i put 3 white studs underneath, with one at the back to hold him steady.
  22. great review, thanks! i wont be buying many of these... maggie and lisa are musts for the animals, plus it will be nice to have a regular looking maggie. ive got the last one in the winter village carousel with bart and she looks terrified! will likely get smithers for the malibu stacy doll tiles. the rest im not too worried about.
  23. wow!! love the big grin model, complete with his leaf. thank you for building and sharing this. he is stunning!
