  1. That would be good. I've never bought one of the trains before, so wasn't aware of what the instructions were like.
  2. I'm hoping to get some straights as well as curves, so it can encompass the Winter Village. Power Functions would be nice, or at least the instructions on how to do it, as i've not used them at all in builds.
  3. I would love to see a marching band member with a drum. I have recently bought another toy soldier and have been trying to work out a way to give him a wearable drum, either a small "rat a tat" type, or the big one that is worn vertically. Was thinking the back piece like the Native Mother used to hold the papoose, but get stuck after that, lol. Will have to have a play.
  4. I did a quick Google last night, and one of the links said August for this series. Here: https://www.facebook.com/legominifiguresnz/ I will keep looking and post when something turns up. The Disney Castle situation is annoying, but at least it will be over the free shipping thing. I'm almost tempted to wait on it and get this years Winter Village set at the same time.
  5. OK, checked two local stores today with no luck, sorry Coopa and other Kiwis.
  6. Well, I have added some figs to my list after enduring that video. I do wish she had spent more time on ones like the Spy and Rogue who have covered up faces. They are two I have added to my list, as parts only right now.
  7. This was beyond unexpected!! Hoping New Zealand will be the same... will be checking a store tomorrow afternoon.
  8. Looks great!! One thing i may do is buy the Princess Jasmine set and see if I can make the Carpet from there fit into the space here, since that one is more representative. Seems like the space allowed it only one stud too short, but I'm sure the Carpet can be modded.
  9. That is great!! Really, really love the stilts Also like how Washington has a waving flag, can't quite work out how youve done that. Nicely done.
  10. I'm expecting this to be around $600 or $700NZD, and the only place kiwis will be able to buy it is S@H. The main supplier of large and exclusive type sets have confirmed they wont be getting it. $400NZD is the free shipping threshold for our S@H.
  11. Will be interesting to see how portable it is, whether it can seperate into sections to make this easier. Hope it has stable baseplating, too. Storage will also be an issue once its built, as all my other sets that stay built are stored in boxes under my bed and I dont think that will work for this one. Depending on width and height, I might have to find some where dedicated for it to sit between shows and just throw a thin cover over to keep the dust off. I do wish they had given us Goofy instead of Donald, or jazzed Donald up some so he doesnt look the same as the CMF release.
  12. WOWSERS!!! That is so much better than I ever expected. Love the references to so many movies from a variety of eras. Really like how they did the spires. With the target, I initially thought Robin Hood but every other room is Princess related, leading me to think the target is Brave
  13. Entry A - 1 point Entry B - 1 point Entry E - 1 point
  14. Very well done! I like that each house is a different color. Gives them a bit of pop in a muted landscape, and also like the way you did the wagon tracks in the snow.
  15. I hope we get printed tiles for at least some of the concept art and other paintings shown in that video.
  16. travis, why dont you see if your folks will pay half of the castle? Or could you/they leave the loco until next year? Thats assuming the train isnt limited like the castle is. I'm in the same boat, really... so many amazing, expensive!, sets that I would love to get. Plus items from the other toys I collect that are coming out thick and fast.
  17. OK, so this question isn't really related to this thread, but i couldn't think where to post it. I recently picked up the printed basketball and older soccer ball. I saw the photo in this thread using a feather to enable the figure to hold it, and tried the same with the Genie's hairpiece, but the holes arent big enough to fit the post in. Is there anything that will fit the holes, from Lego, that will let either a figure hold them or otherwise secure them to a build? To give an idea, the hole looks big enough to fit a sewing needle in. Thanks in advance. :)
  18. Thats I was thinking, too. The only long legs I can think of with toes are the yeti and squarefoot, but I am not willing to paint them black. And funnily enough, the insurance company launched a new advert last night with the penguin stealing a car, so will have to get at least 3 of the penguin suits.
  19. Does anyone know of a suitable pair of regular legs for the penguin suit? We have an advert on tv here for insurance that features a penguin stealing kids bikes, and I was hoping to recreate this, but it needs long legs. Thanks :)
  20. Great job! He looks perfect.
  21. Having seen more from the videos etc, i will expand my wanted list to include ET, Gizmo and maybe Beetlejuice [i didn't see him in the video, so you guys must be able to see what i can't.] Will decide when i see a pic of him.
  22. I don't have the game, but AT is on my must buy list for the parts alone.
