  1. Thanks for the replies. The box was perfectly sealed when bought. It's #12 missing, so luckily not a major. Was more trying to work out whether the boys lost it some how, or if it might have been missed entirely. Just had a look at the calender on S@H, and remembered when I sorted out the boys builds, there were two Storm Troopers, one with a large gun, the other with a smaller one. The website only shows one, so wonder if we got that instead of the correct build? This was the first SW set we have ever opened, so no way it could have come from anywhere else. Might just assume that was the case, and leave it. Two adults and three kids all had a very thorough look in the area, including behind and under a bed, through the rubbish bin, in the empty bags and anywhere else it might have gone.
  2. Mods: wasn't sure whether to post this here or the Star Wars board? Has anyone had issues with this years Star Wars advent calendar missing a bag? I bought one the other day, and let my nephews build the kits then left them playing with things for half an hour. When I came back, I counted the kits and realised one is missing. Despite very thorough looking in the area, it hasn't been found, and one of the boys is certain he only opened 11 bags instead of 12, so I'm wondering if its possible one got missed? Thanks in advance.
  3. Thanks for the replies. Will maybe start the build this afternoon and see how things go. Even if they don't have parts still, they could always be Bricklinked, I guess?
  4. After building the Cinderella castle last week, and then seeing this thread, I have decided to finally build my set. It was bought early on in the run, so likely will have the neck issue. Would there have been a time limit on requesting correct parts at all?
  5. Does the Minnie in the balcony have her skirt on? Trying to place mine and can't get her to fit without removing it. Edit: Managed to get her in, had to take the railing down and then reassemble.
  6. Going to dislike buying yet another Frozen castle, but I want need Marshmallow! And the other parts will come in useful. Not sure if I will bother with the other one with Anna, or the Juniors one. All they would be is parts packs. Moana sets look good, especially Maui.
  7. Ok, I didn't see the train first time round. Definately a buy here, at least 2 or 3 copies.
  8. Liking the look of the town house, sort of feels like it matches the toy and grocery shop set [31036]. Tempting, will have to see a review first.
  9. Perfect! Pity the lack of Abu, but maybe he is distracting the other guards.
  10. I honestly don't know. All I know is he posted in a LUG Facebook group about having a spare, and I jumped on it as quick as possible, mainly for the option of being able to pay it off, instead of in one lump sum.
  11. He got them through the VIP program on S@H. Not entirely sure of the logistics of how.
  12. Received mine today, after 5 and a bit weeks paying it off. Another collector bought two, with one to sell, so I snagged it. The build start will wait until Monday, as i have a big day at work on Sunday, so the castle will be my prize. Haha.
  13. I also modded the Hot Dog Van, color-wise. I got two sets of Fun In The Park, and put the two hot dog cart vendors in the vans [swapped out the faces and gave them blue hands to represent sanitary gloves.] and then added another minifig to be the money handler. I have added the Friends cupcake cafe and small supermarket, but I need to put a roof on them. Along with those, I have Creator 31036 toy and grocery shop, built so it stays open like the front of the box shows. As i use these with a train layout, this will be the village "gateway", positioned in front of a level crossing. Sets like the Disney Princess Frozen look good, too. I publicly display mine, so make sure I have appeal to boys and girls, equally. I also buy sets like the City snow plow, Artic [for the dogs and winter clothes] and of course advent calendars.
  14. Some great designs there. I really like the piano and the truck, so far.
  15. I got the Frozen Fever castle, and ended up covering it with the Disney minifigs. Took it to a public display last week where it proved rather popular with the kids.
  16. Brickset has done a fairly thorough review. http://brickset.com/article/23545/review-10254-winter-holiday-train I'm liking it, but plan to change a few things if I can, like the length of the passenger car and the coupling between the engine and tender. Also no PF here, wanting to install the 9v system, but need more track for that.
  17. We have yellow fire engines here in New Zealand, but they are for the rural service. Not often seen in larger centres. Our regular fire engines are red, and the building they are housed in is tan, if memory serves. We also have yellow ambulances as well as white. The yellow ones are supplied/run by the St John service, while the white are hospital ones. Either one will respond to an emergency call.
  18. Only the Pizza Truck sounds interesting there, but will decide once images are out. My wallet is currently doing the happy dance, though.
  19. I had difficulty placing the Hikers compass on his hand. Was almost too tight to just clip on nicely, ended up putting the front of the hand in and then "rolling" the compass back to snap on.
  20. Incredible job!
  21. Thanks, Coopa. Fingers crossed I find the rest, but if not, I will PM you. Went back, and found a box on the end cap which I swear wasn't there this morning. Managed to get the last of what I needed, plus a few extras. Out of 20 bought, I only fudged one feel, which isn't too bad. Devil boy is my absolutely favourite minifig ever. He goes so well with the Skeleton from a couple of series back.
  22. Finally found them in NZ. They have been hung on strips, so no box to look at, and someone has apparently grouped them together, I found several Mariachi all in a row, same with Spooky boy, Cyborg and Boxing Girl. I only had half an hour before work, and didn't feel a single Banana Guy in that time. As I'm still recovering from an illness, my feeling was off, too. Picked 6, and one was wrong. Going to go back in a while and have another go.
  23. Thanks, Coopa. Tried the Wanganui Warehouse so I could layby them. No luck, but will try again before work tomorrow morning. Didn't bother with Farmers due to no layby, and the nearest Toyworld is in Palmy.
  24. Hoping to find these in New Zealand today. The store I plan on going to has them on their website, so hoping they are also on the shelf.
  25. Thanks, coaster. I won't attempt to open it, but will ask the master repairman at my club. Rail Co, it was running fine by the time I packed it up. Will make a point of setting it up every few weeks for a while.
