  1. Some great parts in there. Pity they didn't go with the other balloon design, but never mind.
  2. Since there is a new 8-ball printed piece from the Lego Batman sets, I am now wondering if we will get a pool shark with cue and 8-ball?
  3. I'm not sure if Target has overhead shelving for leftover stock that won't fit on the shelves at present, but it could be possibly headed there to avoid "losing" it in the stockroom. As far as opening sealed boxes, I generally ask staff first, and would never pick from a pallet of fresh stock. I am only the customer, and no, we are not always right, despite the saying.
  4. Nice work! Finally some roses worth the price tag.
  5. That Batclown fig makes me wish they made a banana skin piece.
  6. Quite like the new color... looks like he was left in the oven a bit longer. If i find one cheap enough, I may get him.
  7. With the Batman Movies series coming with a crab and lobster, I wonder if we will see them here in different colors?
  8. I'm hoping it will be 3 sets per box. If you do spring for a box, let me know. I am after a few and don't know if I will get the chance to do an in-store feel. I have a feeling these will go quicker than the Disney ones.
  9. That is awesome! Really like the tanker with the taps on the rear. Looks good enough to be an official build.
  10. Has anyone removed some tiles from the top of the bottom half and replaced with studded plates? We had a big earthquake a few weeks ago, and I have just noticed the top half has come unstuck on one side, moved forwards and now sits on an angle. Lucky it is in a case, otherwise it may well have hit the floor. As to build time, I had plans on drawing it out over 2 weeks, but ended up finishing in about 6 days. That was just doing a couple of hours at a time, taking my time to align edges and making sure everything was pressed together properly. Had I sat down and just gone for it, I think it could have been done in a day or two.
  11. The train looks good, will get at least two of those. Also love the alternate build of the townhouse with the blue and white awning and what looks like a grapevine.
  12. Awesome! Looks just like in the movie, and has great posability, too. Well done.
  13. Instantly recognisable, well done!
  14. Incredible work. Love the roof most, i think, along with the phonograph [and His Masters Voice] and the quilt. What is the wallpaper in the art room from? I am amazed at the detail you have crammed in, without it feeling cluttered and messy. Just homely and welcoming.
  15. Those coattails are rediculous... I love 'em! Keen to see what else comes out. I can see buying sets just for the minifigs in some cases.
  16. That policewoman with the hat reminds me of Detective Callahan from Police Academy, lol. What a shame her hair isn't the right color. Might get the bank, motorbike with sidecar and the ATM sets, but leave the rest.
  17. Those lights are really nicely done! The lightshow projector looks interesting. Hopefully it has the desired effect. Got the case for my castle yesterday, and put it all together today. Because the manufacturer provded a base, I had to shorten the top steeple by about 2 studs, removing the round stud and then pushing the spikey bit down into the cone.
  18. Really nice work. Brings back some fond memories of characters passed.
  19. Love it! Really like the stilts guy and the huge puppet with his master.
  20. The case I had made is finished, and we are picking it up tomorrow. I moved the castle to allow for the base to be placed, and made a couple of small adjustments in the process. Having the book and glass slipper hidden away has always bugged me. Luckily, two empty window spaces gave themselves willingly to display these two items. Everything sits nicely inside the frames, so no chance of anything falling out though the book may shift a bit over time with ground vibration. First up, the book. this in a window in the tallest tower, not the one with the tall gold spire but the one next to it.. I took the tile out and attached it to a "snowman body" with studs on all sides and the top. a gold jumper plate, two 2x2 trans-clears and another gold jumper plate allowed the book cover to sit nicely at the right height. I used two gold round tiles to hide the other two studs on the bottom. second was the slipper and its case. this was simple to do. this is a lower window right next to the storage space. a simple 4x4 brick to boost the case up a bit, and shes done! apologies if the images are too large. just let me know and i can shrink the originals and re-do this post.
  21. Wowzers! Rajah looks amazing, as does Mowgli. Heres hoping we see them at some stage.
  22. I haven't done it yet, but I have plans of putting the the 9v in the tender, to keep the red wheels on the front. My 9v set up is currently attached to the Monster Fighters Ghost Train, but will be removed next week and work on the Christmas train will start.
  23. That is absolutely stunning!
  24. Built my set today, finally, and have emailed Lego asking about the repair kit. Hopefully they come through, but if not will just Bricklink and look for a copy of the repair instructions online.
  25. Kinetic sand is really soft, not even a sand, and it doesn't even stick to your skin. A bookshop I went into last weekend had some on the counter, so I had a squeeze while waiting. Almost reminded me of those "toys" that can be made with a balloon and flour put inside. soft and squishy. I have read it's nearly killed a few dogs that ate it, as it clumps up inside and can't be digested or passed. Whether thats Kinetic sand in the photo, I don't know. However, it looks very effective.
