  1. At $400 Canadian....I am WAY too broke for this. Looks awesome though.
  2. Really excited me at first seeing it but upon a closer inspection the fact it's really microfig scale makes me a little more meh about it. I realize if it was regular mini figure scale it would be more expensive though. Still, it is a damn cool set.
  3. Yes please! I missed out on the previous large Batmobile set from I think 2007 or whenever it was. However, this thing is pricy...easier to save up for the new Mini Cooper set (which looks great) than this.
  4. Pictures, Pictures, PICTURES! Seriously, not just talking about press stuff, but in person, and hoping someone is working on a review. Saw the set in person at the Lego Store today...it is a heck lot bigger than I thought. Not long, but it's tall.
  5. Called up a local Lego store in Canada....it is indeed $299.99 here in Canada starting on Monday. Damn.
  6. $250 American? Are you serious? That's likely at $300 Canadian. Ridiculous. More pieces than the Simpsons House and all, but I'd rather get the Simpsons House (which I have) at a cheaper price point and a nicer set IMHO. I like the Sea Cow and have been thinking of likely getting it but if it ends up at $300 Canadian...just a big WTF. $250 Canadian maybe (and even then I'm very meh on that price; albeit lots of pieces) but that being the American price...??
  7. Set is readily available at the Fairview Mall and Sherway Gardens locations in Toronto, Canada. VIP early access until Feb. 1 for everyone else.
  8. Sorry, in addition to the two sets (Parisian Restaurant and Simpsons House), I also want to add Metalbeard's Sea Cow from the Lego Movie sets into the mix. Those 3 are my tops for this year currently. My prediction is that the Sea Cow is gonna be least favoured by those who respond to me, but those 3 are pretty close for me personally.
  9. Came into this thread, was going to ask the exact same question. Two ridiculously nice sets for me.
  10. The Lego Stores at Fairview Mall and Sherway Gardens both have the Lego Movie minifigures in-stock. They have plenty in stock (also those at the back) but at the same time many people have gone through them. Seemed like the Sherway Gardens location has a better variety though. Mastermind at Pickering Town Centre also has them. Got my 16 in a mix of the 3 stores.
  11. For Canadians (specifically the Greater Toronto Area), the Lego Stores at Fairview Mall and Sherway Gardens both have the Lego Movie minifigures in-stock. They have plenty in stock (also those at the back) but at the same time many people have gone through them. Seemed like the Sherway Gardens location has a better variety though. Mastermind at Pickering Town Centre also has them. Got my 16 in a mix of the 3 stores.
  12. Constitution Train Chase for 50% off at $65 Canadian....worth it? Set was never on my radar nor was I looking at getting the Lone Ranger sets originally, nor did I watch the movie. But 50% off...tempting....should I?
  13. Canadian price is now $190 instead of $200...awesome. Looks great.
  14. Those of you that are Canadian and missed your chance at one, call your local stores (if you live close to a brand store) every now and then on the days they get shipments to see if there's any new ones coming in. That's how I ended up getting mine like the past week. Called on Monday to the 3 GTA stores and all of them were sold out. When asked if any more of them would come in, they said unlikely but call back on the days they receive shipments. Called back on Wednesday for one of the locations, luckily enough a few more of them came in. Reserved one and bought it. Even the employee I called to reserve the set was expecting me to reserve 2...I said for just one and was surprised. I admit it's tempting to get 2 to resell one of them, but I can't drop that much money at once and hope that it sells or something. Really wanna open it right now and build it but my school work is starting to pile up. I took a look at the instagram of the guy that has been hoarding 200 sets (at least according to him; pics show at least like 50 sets or so)...looking at his other pics, looks like it's some rich young guy.
  15. Managed to snag a 41999 set at my Lego Store today, thanks people. I know the Unimog's functions are nice too, but the fact this is an exclusive and the radio control for the entire vehicle, plus seeing it plow through things on Youtube sold me. Oh, and having it available in the first place of course.
  16. This is what happens when you don't come to Eurobricks often enough. You miss news like this. Really hope it doesn't disappoint.
  17. I didn't get that email, but I've seen it posted on RedFlagDeals. Is it a unique barcode for each coupon? By the way does anyone know which Mastermind location has the Back To the Future Delorean Cuusoo set? That's what I'm gonna be using my coupon on.
  18. At the moment, it's that 41999 set. I mean, it's still available and there are still some resellers of that set at somewhat affordable prices (but still ridiculous). At the moment, really just trying to find a place with the smallest markup. Not one for Technic sets, was iffy on this set, but the aesthetics of the set IMHO are quite a bit better than the 9398 4x4 Crawler. What really sold me on this set was seeing its capabilities on Youtube videos how it climbs terrains very impressively. Sure the 9398 does exactly the same thing, but it's not as pretty of a set.
  19. The exclusive Technic 4x4 Crawler. It's the same price as the regular 4x4 crawler but a different (and IMHO better body shell). It has a little more function than the regular 4x4 crawler.
  20. I called today and they said they were out... When did you get yours?
  21. Extreme longshot, but any Canadian Eurobrickers that have multiple of the 41999 set willing to sell one set to me at either regular price or a slight markup?
  22. At one of the Lego Stores in my area it's still available. EDIT: Well, seems like you're right, the second shipment of the 41999 they got just sold out within the last couple of days (was still available when I called in last week)....they said to check back in about a week to see if they're gonna get anymore shipments of it. Still, my question is still between the 2 sets until I can confirm I can't get the 41999 for sure.
  23. So I'm not usually a Technic person but these 2 in particular caught my eye because of the playability with the Power Functions: 8110 Mercedes Benz Unimog which retails for $250 in Canada, but can be bought at $190 + tax from Costco. Yes I do have a membership card. or 41999 Crawler Exclusive which is also $250. No discount, but I guess I'll have to use my $30 worth of points on this one set, making it slightly cheaper at $220 + tax. Both seem awesome but both are quite pricy. The Unimog is cheaper and perhaps the better deal it seems but the Crawler is quite exclusive. As well, while they both have the power functions, the Crawler uses the power functions to be basically an R/C car while the Unimog uses it for "only" the arm and winch (albeit both are quite cool, particularly that arm).
  24. I'm tempted to get one for myself (as usual) and also get one for my dad since he's the one that introduced me to this trilogy. Bought the DVD 3-pack when it first came out to show it to me. Though I think he's not gonna end up building it and let it sit there. But for once I might actually buy something at regular price.
  25. Toronto resident here (well, GTA, close enough), well done on capturing one of our landmarks. Bothers me that they changed the name to Rogers Centre but they did do a good job of renovating the stadium.
