  1. That is a really cool looking build. Wish I had the skills to collaborate. Is that a freebuild or for the Episode?
  2. I suspect this is mostly a personal preference type thing but, do you find yourself building the greebles as you build or do you build out the structure and then go back and add greebles where needed/seems appropriate? I'm kind of in both camps because I find I try to do some greebles, but I tend to get lost in that and have to move on or I'd rework greebles for days on end. So I try to do basic greebles as I go and then go back after to "clean up".
  3. That is HUGE! I can't even wrap my head around attempting something on that scale. It looks to be built in sections to move it? Can't even figure how you transport something like that. Any shots of the interior spaces like the kitchen and great hall?
  4. I'm hoping no one will be offended by the nudity in my build! I figured it is ok since it is Lego and it isn't an intentional graphic shot, more incidental to the scene.
  5. I may have to redo my build then, I was going to make my item Vader's lightsaber that I stole from his room while he was in the bathroom. In all seriousness, I went very generic with my item on purpose.
  6. I actually thought his room was pretty spacious since it is a single! I did notice all the helmets, kinda like Ezra on Rebels. I liked the room very much, seemed almost luxurious. I can't wait for Kodan to rank up and be out of his cramped quarters (coming in a freebuild). BTW, is it intentional that we never got a clear look at Pointblank without his helmet?
  7. The floor bursting open is just incredible.
  8. I like Pointblank's room, those sure are some fancy quarters. The Dark Troopers live it up! The arena is great. You have a lot of cool little details like the scoring and the cauldrons. Plus a lot of set ups for future freebuilds! My one critique would be that the arena fighting space feels a bit small. If you took the minifig with his sword and stretched it out it would be about the width of the yellow box. For close quarters combat I would have thought they'd use smaller weapons like knives or short swords. But I know scale is always tricky with minifigs.
  9. My character scene is done and photographed. Pretty happy with how it all came out. I'll have to tear it down to do my ancestor scene though, so I wanted to be sure things were ok before I did that. I got all distracted working on a freebuild set up though, so I have to focus now. I have more freebuild ideas than time or bricks. Looking forward to seeing what people come up with for this one.
  10. Nicely put together, reminds me of NYC trucks (though cleaner and better colors). I like the simplicity of your layout while properly conveying the winter feel. Plus using the wing piece for where the plow is clearing is perfect. And great to see the snow higher on the plowed side. All it needs is to be throwing snow onto my driveway minutes after I have it all cleared and it would be totally accurate.
  11. Nice MOC. Though to be true to TWD the grass should mysteriously be mowed. And I'm glad you didn't do the season where they were on the farm, would be hard to MOC up nothing happening. I like Rick on his horse, Daryl with the bow and you even got Michonne and her walkers. Some nice mini-builds on the vehicles too.
  12. That is a cool barracks. I like the two sides and their colors. The beds look very nice, though perhaps a bit too plush for real military. I like the gambling going on though, that is quite accurate.
  13. The tower is gorgeous! The stonework, the roof, the vines, everything. I'm sure the photos don't do it justice, but even still it looks amazing in the pics.
  14. Nice build. The greebles are great, love the story and really has a diner feel. The street crossing stripe by the troopers is a cool detail. A couple of suggestions: I'm guessing this isn't an Empire only diner, might be nice to have some civilians too. Also, how are the scout troopers going to eat with their helmets on?
  15. There is a lot of playability here! And the shape is very reminiscent of a dewback! I like the modular build, allows for a lot of customization. The leg articulation work is impressive. Looks like a great model and good luck in the contest.
  16. She is a big beast! I'd hate to be the trooper in that crow's nest, seems ripe for attack! Love all the interior spaces and positions. Great that it opens up so much to show off the guts. The speeder is a cool little build also.
  17. You are either brave or crazy!
  18. This is really cool. I LOVE the mech design, fits in perfect. The whole story and scene in general is well thought out and presented also.
  19. Whoa. That should make things more even! Once I get my bricklink order tonight I should have my character scene finished. I'll have to trial shoot it and make sure it photographs ok. Then once that is all set I'll move on to the past scene. Been doing concept building, messing with various parts and techniques. I think I want to go pretty small and tight on the character scene also. The smaller I keep my builds the better until I'm a bit more competent.
  20. It has a real 50's future sci-fi vibe in both the design and the color choice. I can almost hear the voiceover guy saying "In the land of tomorrow..." Nice build.
  21. My brain can't even process all that greebling!! I love the engine in back, looks very realistic. Cool little ship! And I like him floating in the last pic too.
  22. Man I always loved that scene. I'd say you have a really good representation here, hard to do things exactly when Lego minifig and human anatomy don't sync up. Anyone who has seen the movie and saw your picture would know exactly what you were building!
  23. Yay I have points! Thank you.
  24. Those elves are very clever! I like the foot stomping of the grapes and the cleaning out of the barrel. Some nice little details to take note of.
  25. The tiled courtyard, the lighting of the torch, the vines growing over the trellis... so many nice details.
