  1. I like the control center room, has a nice compact feel to it. I too have at times had to improvise when I find I'm short on parts. Ah for an unlimited supply...
  2. Love the landing pad, has an aircraft carrier quality to it. Very nice ship also, it is hard to work in micro because you have so little room to work with. Love the look of the shuttle.
  3. Great build with a fantastic story. I have ideas, will PM you.
  4. Love it! Not what I was expecting from the title, but it proved so much better!
  5. Wow, I wasn't aware of this ship before today, but you've made a simply incredible MOC. It looks so perfectly SW! Thank you especially for the brilliant WIP shots, I love to see how things are put together.
  6. It is a nicely colored scene with a great "feel" to it, but the missing 1x1 tiles along the wall really stand out. That is the one downfall to the rotated tile technique is that if you don't cover the edges properly it grabs too much attention. Overall a really nice build.
  7. Fill is basically just dirt or other things you put into a hole to take up space.
  8. Location: H04 Crofter's Ridge Tags: Land Vehicle, Science Previously... // PERSONAL DIARY // Dr. Allison had made great progress on the analysis of the mineral deposits. I was excited at the prospects when I arrived at the lab. Dr. Allison and another scientist were still doing work and they seemed like they were wrapping things up so I was expecting her report of all the great applications for this substance. As it turns out though, my expectations were too high. Dr. Allison informed me that this substance was worthless. I asked if there was some way we could use it, perhaps it had properties we could use when mixed with other substances; but alas she said it was totally pointless. She said it didn't work well with any other known substance and essentially just took up space. At best she said it could be used as fill. I was saddened and the other scientist with her confirmed that they had checked with many other scientists who had reached the same conclusion. Apparently no one could find a use for this substance other than as simple fill. What a let down. The ground cart:
  9. This introduces an interesting new component. I suppose it should be allowed as I could PM him and tell him where to post. He then posts. I then ask to transfer the credits and that takes place. So, this is just more in the open.
  10. Very nice! You did a great job with the smooth stub nose. Looks really accurate and has a great, striking color scheme with the orange/black.
  11. Welcome, that is a really nicely put together figure. Can't wait to see your builds! Glad to have some new people on here!
  12. I've had many meetings where internally my sentiments were like your guy with the red hat.
  13. Why are the ships CRAGs when the series is GARC? Circuit Rally Asteroid Galactics?
  14. The stark whiteness of the first picture works so well with the dream sequence image. I found it so interesting when looking at your spoiler tag images that you have the stone square floor and I thought "Did I miss a pic?" Only to realize it was in the dream sequence. I find myself in a similar boat so often where I include lights under a walkway that never get seen or other items that only I really end up knowing is there. And the dream sequence was superbly done, well worth the effort. It has that vaguely creepy feel where you aren't sure if the creature is good or bad but either way you know you are helpless against it. The hospital room is very well done and I love that you showed how you did the bed. The room is simple, but not plain and sets up the story really well. Looking forward to what comes next!
  15. That is an awesome hospital room with some really nice part usage. Super jealous of the hospital screen pieces. Question: is the stealth ship supposed to look like the Owl from Watchmen or just coincidence?
  16. I like the robot. It looks like Eshey has finally turned the corner. Nice to see they are on a snuggling mission, those aliens look lonely.
  17. All money to the Bob!
  18. We here at Octan are happy to have new recruits. We have a fantastic color scheme that photographs quite nicely also. There are many planets to choose from under our control, so whatever style of building suits you is available. Plus our CEO is constantly naked (go look for pombe builds in this forum and try not to sign up).
  19. I tried that, but it wouldn't let me click the Insert button to complete it. But apparently just the image URL gets detected and works. Thanks!
  20. I actually have no idea because I have them in storage containers roughly broken into theme. 1 for pirates and castle that I mostly did as a kid. 1 for SW. 1 for City/CMF/etc. I would venture to say 300, but I could be way under.
  21. Location: H04 Crofter's Ridge Tags: Land Vehicle Previously... // PERSONAL DIARY // ED-208 and I visited one of our geological study sites on Crofter's Ridge. They had been studying some weird mineral deposits and I thought it best to personally check it out. Dr. Allison was back at the lab taking a look at the samples with a team as we wanted to try and figure out if this was potentially beneficial to Octan. Luckily my robot dog that Dr. Allison had named "Gidget" joined us. ED-208 continued to insist something was odd about Gidget, but I told him it was just a robot pet and was harmless. When we arrived at the site the crew there was quite happy to show us what they had been doing and their recent discoveries. I find geology pretty boring, I mean who cares about rocks, but I certainly respect the amount of passion they have for their chosen field. Even Gidget seemed very interested in the work being done. She stayed near us the whole time, they really have these robot dogs figured out! I can't help but feel like something weird is going on here. Between the weird lab and the anomalous mineral deposits it just seems ... odd. I'm hoping that once I check in with Dr. Allison that she has made some progress to help explain some of this! Extra pics: Images are inline, thanks for the help!
  22. Really glad this was picked, love it. My favorite of the ones they reviewed. Curious to see the final model and price.
  23. Thursday delivery for my Revan/Advent Calendar order. Can't wait!
  24. Ordered the advent calendar and got my Revan. Like many others I got an error but I also got a confirmation email. Says In Warehouse, so I'm good I think. I'm saving most of my purchases for Black Friday so I can get the snowglobe.
  25. Yay, glad they didn't guess my part. Thanks again to Lucas for the fantastic model, seeing it in comparison now just highlights what a great job he did. Thanks to all the builders! Can't wait to see the next episode.
