I like the moc, has a good desert vibe to it. Some very nice detailing on the rooftops and with the angled crate full of stuff. Though having someone near it might make it more real feeling, like it was someone selling their wares. Good use of the dark tan to break things up some. A couple things: 1) The photos are kind of hazy and it makes it hard to see things, especially some of the detailing. 2) You apparently need a bigger light box 3) For the pic when the target is killed you should have moved some of the other people around too. Even if folks are used to violence in the streets, there would be some amount of reaction, even just to gawk. Since the body is already on the ground that would have given enough time for people to react. Lends a bit more realism.

Future of AG - It's feedback time!

Does that include increasing the bonus from equipment and technologies? -
Brilliant sparse use of color. The light gray goes so well with the color touches because it just sort of blends in. The sand overlapping the concrete was also very well executed. Great build!

[SoNE Ep. XIII] Naboo- "Traitor Scum"
Kodan Black replied to Artizan's topic in Nar Eurbrikka Archive
That is really great Naboo architecture! I like the shocktrooper ship, though it feels a bit small. An impressive collection of clear parts for having the ship float in mid-air! -
[SoNE Ep. XIV] Hapes - A beautiful traitor
Kodan Black replied to Puvel's topic in Nar Eurbrikka Archive
Truly beautiful. The color choices and the various plant life is spectacular. It all works so well together, if you removed the stormtroopers you could easily make this a MOC in so many categories and it would fit perfectly. Feels like a nice combo of middle eastern and southern US plantation style architecture. About my only critique is how happy she seems to be about a stormtrooper pointing a gun at her. -
[SoNE Ep. XIII] Hapes - First Target

A really great compact build. I always struggle to build small like this, so I appreciate when it is done well. -

He said Hapes at the beginning of the post, since he can't edit the title someone will likely have to do it. -

Incredibly captivating story. Reads like a scifi novel! The big freighter is great with all of the details contrasting with the large smooth block shapes.

Future of AG - It's feedback time!
Kodan Black replied to Bob De Quatre's topic in Andromeda's Gates
Heh, was just coming in here to post this... -
The message had come down from above, rumored to be from the Emperor himself, that there were certain targets linked to the Black Sun that had to be eliminated. I had been tasked with finding someone on Bespin and making sure that he was properly handled. There was fear that he might be a double agent and it wasn't worth the risk. I certainly had no issues dealing with a traitor and it would give me ample chance to leverage my recent training. Upon arriving I began to quietly poke around to locate the target and establish a plan that presented the least risk with the certainty of success. The individual had a residence that the Empire knew about, but you never know if that is their real residence or simply a ruse. Far too often you can storm in thinking you will be doing a fast grab or shoot mission and quickly find that you've tipped your hand and given the target a chance to escape. I had been given a picture and a name: Lem Doshka. He had been working with us for quite some time and had managed to live a very comfortable life as an administrative official that also collected a handsome salary from the Black Sun for making sure the proper things went missing or certain ships bypassed the usual routines. I established that his residence really was where he lived and found that he was clearly a civilian used to the good life. He was sufficiently assured of his safety that he only used guards outside of his residence, an arrogance that I was only too happy to exploit. Aside from some business meetings Lem generally kept to his lavish living quarters, which would make finding him amusingly easy. I decided that the proper thing would be to move quickly and decisively. I acquired a guard's uniform and weapons and without delay went to his quarters. When I arrived I used my newly "found" security card to access the residence and entered to find the Ugnaught that had been supplying Lem with a steady stream of info sitting in a meeting with Lem who was enjoying a nice and quite expensive drink. Last drink as it turned out. I briefly took note of the overly ornate interior and felt a brief flare of anger at the excessive lifestyle he lead when so many barely made a living. As I entered he grumpily bellowed: "Ugh, what is it? I'm in an important meeting!" With the Ugnaught being the smaller and less known target I took him out first, giving Lem a brief instant to realize his fate before my other hand raised and fired. It was unfortunate for the Ugnaught to get caught up in this, but given who he was dealing with I wouldn't count him as innocent. I quickly went over to them and made sure there would be no miraculous medical recovery before quietly leaving his residence and nonchalantly heading to a loading dock with a small cargo ship that would soon be departing. My guard's uniform was stuffed into a small bag with a thermite device that would eliminate all traces of it as I boarded. There would be no tracing this back to the Empire and though his death would seem suspicious I was sure it would remain unsolved. I hoped my report would please my superiors and they would feel that my placement in the Dark Troopers was justified. Overall Pic:

Yeah, an amazing street scene with a vibrant bustling feel to it. Great action at the bagging. I agree with Zaael about the lighting, it seems too harsh in the front middle, a bit uneven compared to the rest. But otherwise a perfectly blended scene with great color usage and balanced placement of elements.

[SoNE Ep. XIII] Bothawui - Transfer Mission
Kodan Black replied to WickNole's topic in Nar Eurbrikka Archive
Fantastic prison interior. I love the cutaway effect you did. It is simple looking, but actually has a great deal of detailing the more you look at it. -
I see someone got one of the new Batman sets... Glad to see some closure on old arcs. Though President Business seems oddly happy about having a gun in his face.

Ooooh... great photo editing. Intrigued to see where this is going!

Sometimes you are just driving a utility cart and moving a piece of equipment from one part of a scientific lab facility to another. It doesn't always end up being glamorous. Other Views:

The vehicle is great and super smooth. The overall design works really well together. Love the rockwork and all the scenery too. Everything is really well integrated and it all compliments the rest of the scene. Fantastic as usual, wish we saw more of you around these parts!

Location: F04 Illustria Tags: Land Vehicle Previously... // PERSONAL DIARY // I didn't want Dr. Hawkins to think that Octan is all work all the time so we took a brief journey over to Illustria. He had brought alone a Mantis underwater scooter on his science vessel so we thought it would be good to check out some of the sea life. We really only saw plant life, but still that was very pretty, so it wasn't entirely bad. Sometimes it helps to get away from work and just have some fun! Overhead:

What an incredible semi truck. Love all the greebles on the front too. That shipping container is very slick, hard to believe you turned something so ordinary into an exceptional minibuild.

EB Xmas Raffle 2016 - Your ideal Snow entry thread
Kodan Black replied to CopMike's topic in LEGO Town
I finally forced myself to enter this year! Mine isn't necessarily "ideal" but a couple years back we got a major Nor'easter and ended up with several feet of snow. During this because of the amount of snow and the drifting the vent for our hot water heater ended up covered and thus we had no hot water. So I had to go out in the middle of the storm with a shovel and walk from the back of my garage around the house in snow up to my armpits to dig around the vent so we had hot water again. This was the most accurate Lego face I could find for my mood at the time. Thanks CopMike! -
[ O - F04 ] Miraculous Catch - (SHIP inside)
Kodan Black replied to Professor Thaum's topic in AG1 Archive
Whoa, that ship is huge! Lots of detail throughout too. I love the squid sub, looks the part perfectly. The shuttle kind of reminds me of the manta ship from Ep 1 of Star Wars, but smaller and better.- 11 replies

I had no idea the first 5 concussions were free! I like the dog driven truck. The truck has an up-armored Land Rover feel to it. I wasn't sure if Scruffy was going to have a kind of Brian Griffin thing going on or not.

Corporate doesn't care that much about safety, we all had to sign legally binding safety waivers. The lawyers know the corporation is protected.

Kodan Black replied to Bob De Quatre's topic in Andromeda's Gates
I like this as it allows a loose coalition of builders who can be alien and contribute to a larger entity that benefits them. Maybe instead of rewarding credits, alien builds contribute to a pool that benefits all aliens. And the alien tag is available at a certain number of builds (roughly commensurate with the # it would take today to achieve the tag). But that would make the aliens a kind of corporation-lite that either players who want to build infrequently can join up into or it adds a more strategic component for corporation builders who may want to utilize alien builds.
