Love the snow accumulating along the legs and the greenhouse. Nice full interior too! Really well made and has a ton of great detailing.

I know they get posted here, but maybe we could separate the fleet movement from judging so the fleet movement could happen at posting week end (essentially when Bob posts his welcome in week XX post), that would make it easier to view the dynamic map and get a better sense of things. Otherwise we end up having to try and flip between here and the dynamic map.

Future of AG - It's feedback time!
Kodan Black replied to Bob De Quatre's topic in Andromeda's Gates
One change I would suggest is that new weeks don't start until judging is done. One thing I've found frustrating is trying to keep up with where fleets are based on threads, then compare that to the overall map. Plus plotting out where other builders built and look at where we may need to build in response. We've also had some instances in the past of people building on planets that they suddenly couldn't build on because of DP that flipped control of planets. I know judging takes time and I'm not trying to complain about that, but I think in terms of strategy and planning it is much harder when judging can run behind by days or even a full week. Hopefully this gets factored into the new version. -
Love the rugged off road vehicle. And nice to see such a lovely Octan facility! Always fun to see other corp builders make such nice facilities for us!

I like the shape of the window, very nice. The green "server stack" (not sure what it is, that was what I thought it was) looks great next to the terminals. May have to steal that in the future.

Wow, small but beautiful and so smooth!

Very nice Kawa ship, good to see you back in this subforum. I'm looking forward to seeing where the story goes. I like the new look on Hannibal too.

That mech is awesome, even has the cool teeth on the front! I love it. You come up with the best mechs!

Location: A06 Guinevere Tags: Land Vehicle, Civil Building, Spying Previously... // PERSONAL DIARY // The boring part of Guinevere, unless you are a geologist or other boring science kind of scientist, is that it is basically sand and lava. Lots and lots of sand and lava. However, the benefit is that when you are doing "research on competing corporation activities" it makes it a bit easier since you can find human activity quickly. One of our mini satellites managed to find a small power shack that seemed a bit abnormal. It was ostensibly a power substation, but through a bit of investigation I found that the amount of power going in was dropping by 68% on its way out. Which is really quite inefficient. I had the stealth ship drop off one of our ground skimmers and headed out to check on it. I'd had to make a few modifications to the skimmer to properly handle the high temps on planet without issue and I also swapped out my previous disguise with a new one. I didn't think that the all black wear would be a good choice outside so I went with a lighter colored option. The building itself pretty much looked the part, but it just felt like it was trying too hard to be normal. There wasn't any security aside from being so remote, but it was clearly a hardened structure. I didn't want to test how resilient it was, but I was pretty sure I could have called in a squad of spec ops and still had trouble getting inside. Instead I would use the intelligent approach. I scanned the structure and found that there was a listening port, but I had to figure out what the message should be. I tried "password", but that was far too obvious. I also tried "password123", but that also didn't work. Then I remembered something I'd heard: "Honor.Glory.Kawashita" The door opened right away and revealed an elevator. I felt entirely unprepared for this and yet curious. Additional:

Having run the resource needs to win I see why Bob, et al would be hesitant to do the 10x bonus on planet capture. Generally total resource needs are 60-70k for each of us. The production rate for each builder is 500+ resources weekly roughly. With planets giving 5000 or 7500 on capture that would be a pretty huge jump and I suspect we'd all just bum rush planets for the bonus. Obviously there are differing needs that would come into play, but it would really cause a lot of chaos. This way capturing a planet is essentially a builder's worth of resources and makes planetary capture less of a shortcut and more of a bonus. I actually think this makes the game better in the sense that it is about the builders and less about the where (aside from rares).

Very nice ship, the lines flow together well. Amusing that you have more Octan branded stuff than me! Nice platform, has a great marine vibe to it.

Great lighting! Nice microship, but the big porthole was my favorite part. How did we not spot Stuart as a likely disloyal person, his hair alone flags him as untrustworthy!
-
Uhhhh, 10x on dom pretty much would allow 1 builder to massively influence control of a planet. Given the various bonuses available it would be pretty easy for a 4 pt build to capture a planet in a round. That feels like it would hugely upset balance.

I really like the new brick built version! Looks way better and more creative!

The yellow speeder is perfect, so instantly recognizable. Love the crash feature, really makes it seem genuine and designed for kids. Really could see this as an official Lego product exactly as you made it!

I like the space station, looks very sci-fi. The shuttle has a unique shape, I like that you avoided the prototypical look.

A very nice mech, lots of fantastic parts usage throughout. Looks like a sturdy but agile mech, reminiscent of MechWarrior. The down barrel posed shot in particular was well done! Great use of color, really helps break things up while maintaining a cohesive look.

Bob the control bonus seems to still be the old math, shouldn't those from last week be 7500 for Mantis from Freegate and 5000 for Octan on Illustria?
-
Given the issue with Big Sal and fleet movement I would hope that we get to redirect them.
-
Great dreidel and menorah! Can't wait to see where this goes.
-
And this is where the lack of updated map kind of stinks. Not sure what the judges say can be done. Love the hippo, really amazing. Even better when it turns out to be a mech.
