These Mandos are fun. I just want to share my small group with you. It's a WIP as I am waiting for some orders to arrive, including the printed arms from Firestartoys. The dark orange one is my favourite, especially after putting in place the Ninjago dual molded arms.

Agreed. This is my attemp with the parts I have at hand. The cape is what really adds to the look. I cut it from a paper bag and carefully folded to better resemble his on screen appearance.

I'm so sorry guys, I should have posted pictures after completion but you know, real life got in the way. You can find below more pictures (quick and dirty) showing (some) features, the interior is cramped with things. Let me know if you wish to have more detailed pics of any area. Top view. The green highlight shows the button to activate the rear light brick. Pretty concealed. The steering mechanism still works perfectly, although I had to reinforce with extra pieces the whole system due to the extra weight once finished. "Head" details. Here you can see the front lightbrick. Access to the pilot area is opened now. There is a second crane (yellow and folded) in the rear "wing" lifted up. The oven light up with a nice orange/yellowish light, it is not activated but you can see the light brick just left to the printed tile with gauges and indicators. I hope this helps. Regards, PaulPrime

Does (not) enjoying a movie/series influence your purchase decisions?
PaulPrime replied to Flieger's topic in LEGO Star Wars
100% agreed, I had to bricklink Mando minifig right after watching those two first episodes. -
Risk of buying retired sets with large # of brown parts
PaulPrime replied to Eaglefan344's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Same issue with those 1x1 clips, I broke half a dozen. The new version series seems to work fine until now. -
I agree, this collection deserves time to be appreciated. I don't discard to build some of them. Fantastic job overall.

Sure. I think I should post more often, I have made many modifications inside and outside of many sets. For the front basically I used brackets on jumpers. Take a look at the pic below. If you want more details of that part or the rest I can take more pictures, just let me know.

I was going to answer you because I reached a similar solution to include Veers (and Vader hologram although is hard to see in the pic). I also modified the "lid" and closure system, so you may copy that to avoid gaps.

I just couldn't resist to post a couple WIP pictures of my improved Sandcrawler. I purchased two of the new light bricks from B&P and incorporated them into the design. There are still some orders pending to arrive to finish the interior and some features but the lights look really nice. For the exterior I just performed the usual gap filling and increased detailing of surfaces. I will post more pictures once it's finished but feel free to ask if you want to see any specific area.

[MOC] T47 Snowspeeder / E-wing / Resistance Troop Transport
PaulPrime replied to YodaSkate's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Cool! The cockpit looks much better with actual armor than with a sticker. Did you make any mods to the interior? I love to see different approachs to the same initial model. -
Got the new Sandcrawler this morning via Amazon with 12% discount so I have something to do during holidays.

[MOC] T47 Snowspeeder / E-wing / Resistance Troop Transport
PaulPrime replied to YodaSkate's topic in LEGO Star Wars
I thought my little mod was not popular so I'm glad it serves as an inspiration for your transport, which I have to say has an impressive amount of details and features for such a limited number of bricks. I remember there was not a lot of info about this ship, but the awkward look of the cockpit is due to the heavy armor. In fact, the pilot had to rely on holograms as the armor plates blocked the view almost completely. -
Well, that is fantastic. I have to do it on mine. Great job!

Buy it now, visit the thread in this very forum about several modifications some us made and start having tons of fun. This is the set which provide me some of the best Lego moments in my life, right after good old 7965 MF.

I just ordered the new Tatooine BP from S@H, along with some keychains and microfighters. They said new sets will be available from January, 2 but I entered today and was able to order. I received confirmation email and my orderis at warehouse now.

I just ordered the Quadjumper via Amazon with a discount equivalent to the triple VIP points I would receive if ordered via TLG. In Spain TLG offers that poster with the new gigantic MF but no minifigures, so I chose the discount from Amazon.

Let me introduce you THE POD! After checking the leaked pictures from the new Resistance Transport Pod set 75176 I wanted to try to implement (at least some) of the new play features to my good old smaller pod from 75140. Of course the previous improvements remain so I will focus on the new additions. The detached pod look like this. New guns on the side. Replaced the technic disc with a much easier to activate piece in order to open the cockpit. A larger technic plate 1x3 was used as the height of the pod is one plate higher now. If you remove the side panel you will find a tray with a gun. Remove the top to find an old round friend. This red thingy looks menacing. There are three "layers" in the back. The lower one houses the missile, the middle one the tray with the gun and the top one space for BB-8. When not in use the new guns can be stored behind the "gun pod" and almost out of sight. Why not to free tthe inner space in this pod as well? There is barely space for a minifig and a control panel. It was fun to find a way to implement even more play features in such a limited space. I hope you like it.

This creation deserves a complete room, glass cabinet and security guards around in a museum so it can be admired properly.

Only 4—Lom and Bossk are from the latest battle pack. My Dengar was built with separate parts I bricklinked from different sellers. I may have to update Boba's legs at some point, as they seem a bit plain without any printing.

Very nice display, I wish I had enough space to make something similar. Regarding Zuckuss, I had to built my own version. Not the best solution but it will do until the official minifig is released.

Thank you! Thank you very much, Yes, I considered the use of bucket handles, but as the steering bar was designed to be properly grabbed by minifig hands and there is enough space inside the cabin I decided to use it instead. I don't discard to use bucket handles in other projects, although I prefer the use of minifig hands and bars like this.

So I finally built an armored canopy. I'm very happy with the look achieved, and athough it's different than the movie design I think it's better than the official sticker. The canopy can be opened as before but I changed the disk for a plate with is more easy to push, and made the side door openable as well. If you want to replicate this mods and need instructions just let me know. Cheers!

I got two of each that way, and bricklinked the legs. I can't understand Bricks and Pieces policy but it's great when you can find this kind of offers.

I was just wandering around Bricks & Pieces and had to order some of the new hair pieces for Han and other bits. Didn't know they were available.
