  1. Marvel The Universe Unites Offers; Regular color Marvel art print (5005573) with a LEGO Marvel Super Heroes purchase of $25 or more Limited edition art print sketch (5005574) of the Hulkbuster by Marvel illustrator Ron Lim when you purchase The Hulkbuster: Ultron Edition (76105). This offer is only available for LEGO VIP members. Free LEGO Marvel Super Heroes The Guardians’ Ship (30525) with a Marvel purchase of $75 or more. So buy the Hulkbuster and you get all three of these offers - which is better than it was previously phrased where it sounded like you would only get one version of the Marvel Art Print. The art print itself looks better than i expected, but does display The Hulkbuster; Ultron Edition in a pose that is not obtainable with the sets current design. Luckily this can be fixed fairly easily with modding. If you want The Hulkbuster; Ultron Edition then it's probably best getting it with these three offers - personally going to drop it down with VIP points so it just about qualifies for the Guardian's Ship polybag. With that said we'll probably see other offers later in the month as all these end on March 4th and many are limited to a set amount - so would personally hold off buying any other sets until after the 4th. The 'Groot figure' Polybag for instance is not mentioned and March normally gives double VIP points for specific sets - put simply, these may not be the only offers so you may benefit from waiting with the other sets.
  2. What a terrible promotion. The art is based off the inaccurate Lego Hulkbuster; Ultron Edition rather than being directly based on the movie version and/or the Infinity War version - so chances are you wont be displaying it. The art is also a lithograph print and even with the limited quantity - wont be worth much on the secondary market for those planning on selling it to knock some of the price off the Hulkbuster. It also sounds like you cannot get both variants of the artwork - which you honestly should considering these are just copies. This better not be the only promotion. We have heard of the Groot Polybag so hopefully double VIP points are also occurring or at least something else to justify this. What a disappointment. Hopefully the case. Also hope it is not a series of staggered promotions throughout the month - i could see them doing that, having a promotion for the 03/03 to 04/03 then having Double VIP points followed by the Groot Polybag.
  3. The Six-Armed Outrider is apparently the leader of the Outriders, the character appears to feature horns. So the situation appears now that Lego got concept art of the Leader of the Outriders and instead thought that it was a generic Outrider - and they still did not give us the horns. Yeah, chances are it does exist. We'll just have to wait till much later to see it though.
  4. I think Lego just designed a new part for Iron Spider and the Four-winged Iron Man suit and then decided to use it for the Outriders. Chances are they already have plans to re-use the piece in other sets, for a Doctor Octopus perhaps? Either way, chances are Lego was given concept art for the Outriders that may have had them with six arms instead of four OR the images were of a quality where it was difficult to tell OR they felt the new piece they designed looked odd without the lower two arms attached and just decided to include extra arms. Have we got any chance of seeing a review of the Hulkbuster; Ultron Edition prior to release? Given it's flaws and D2C nature i understand it is unlikely, but interested to see the general consensus on this set and perhaps a review would help ease my decision to get it xD
  5. Just2Good mentioned that he believed there was eight sets for this theme. He later clarified this as Six normal sets, One D2C Set and One exclusive set. Later we got a rumored price for the D2C '160.00' and the exclusive set '49.99'. Later still we got confirmation on the price being lower on what we believe to be the D2C - the Hulkbuster. It's possible that Just2Good was mistaken on the exclusive set, but given the secrecy behind Infinity War and the missing characters including Drax (and to a lesser extent, Mantis), who is/are arguably needed for the Guardians team, i think chances are high that we are getting a spoiler-filled exclusive set.
  6. Been giving some thought on purchases; 76101, 76102, 76107, 76108; Pass until sale/promotion/VIP points 76103; Buying at release IF price is accurate 76104; Might never purchase 76105; Buying with help from VIP points Most the sets require modding or require the purchase of another set to feel complete, i've already made a lot of investments into fixing 76105 so that will be my main project for now. Sanctum i will mod eventually, but it would be effectively scrapping almost everything in the interior and most the side - and even then it could not be fully accurate as it is a double door in the films. We knew Spider-man was in Civil War, yet they hid the set until later for the sake of 'spoilers' which can only be attributed to the Spider-man figure. We saw Spider-man in March yet had to wait till May for the reveal of the Lego set. Though i agree that the spoiler being Hulk is unlikely, chances are that it's something else We did get Deadpool's comic form in 2012 and Deadpool Duck in 2017, but i think the idea is that Marvel only want the focus to be on the stuff they are working on at the moment. Sony and Fox likely had more influence in getting the comic book versions of character portrayed in Lego than Marvel does. Most the prices make sense, except for the Wakanda Wall (£30) - it's got more pieces than the Hulkbuster and is priced $10 higher, yet according to this it is the same price?
  7. Though yeah, we've no clue at this point. It's listed as €49.99 on one site, but no source.
  8. Welp, guess the exclusive set is all we have left then and the Hulkbuster really is the D2C after all :L
  9. The Wakanda set includes connective pins similar to 'The Great Hall' from the Wizarding world sets - i expect that is is as such meant to connect to the D2C. This would heavily imply that the D2C would include an expansion on the Wakanda battle that we see in trailers. This does not necessarily mean the main build is Wakanda, but i do believe that a segment of the build will be an extra piece of the Wakanda scenery from '76103: Corvus Glaive Thresher Attack'. This would mean a total of four sets including aspects of the Wakanda Battle; 76101, 76103, 76104 and 76106 The Wakanda segment could therefore be used to justify the inclusion of; Any of the cast of Black Panther The Winter Soldier War Machine Hulk Expectations should probably be based on that - some aspect of Wakanda will be included with presumably some of the missing figures that are featured in the battle. The most obvious spoiler reason would be that a character is in Wakanda who we are unaware goes to Wakanda, this could include; Captain Marvel, Thanos, Ant-Man/Giant-Man, Wasp, Heimdall or even Adam Warlock - and those are just a few of the characters. I hope the set is based more on the figures and perhaps a separate main build (Thanos's ship from Thor Ragnarok, The Circular Ship from New York, The Quinjet, etc...) Would be awesome. We are likely getting some aspect of Wakanda, but any floating vehicles/transport/builds could probably apply.
  10. This may have something to do with it; http://bricksfanz.com/lego-appoints-new-uk-pr-agency-for-2018/ I'm fairly sure they have had several management changes also - so perhaps they are trialing a new method. For example, in three days i managed to replicate the Hulkbuster design. If it had been on the calendar then knock-off companies would have had it replicated and likely managed to pump out a cheaper knock-off version that would have affected sales.are It's going to become a running gag at this stage, each vehicle they have gets destroyed xD
  11. Possibly, my theory on that, is that it is the same as the Avengers polybag; Avengers had 30612 'Quinjet', followed by 30304 'The Avengers Quinjet'. Guardians had 30449 'The Milano', followed by 30525 'The Guardian's Ship' 'Quinjet' for example at least had the term 'jet' in the name - but 'Milano' is not really associated with being a spaceship unless you are familiar with the series.
  12. It is very likely still the Milano - polybags often lack detailed names in order to be easily sold. Most kids will buy 'The Guardians Ship' from Infinity War while having no clue what The Milano is.
  13. I think it might be worth modifying the interior to include the table we saw Thor on in the trailers, would work better than having the Gauntlet stand when chances are you'll be displaying Thanos wearing the Gauntlet anyway.
  14. Ty. Think that means it should accommodate the Guardians then.
  15. Mind giving a link?
  16. Yeah, original idea of mine was going to be just using the Fire Mech as a basis and perhaps covering up the additional joint piece. Your workaround is definitely an improvement though and i have followed your design to incorporate something similar into the WIP revamp. Altered the design a bit and managed to incorporate the plating - it's turning out good so far, going for similar visuals at the moment but adding the articulation where i can. Arms are complete at this stage though currently based off the official design will be updating soon to improve the joints and potentially incorporate the Quake Mech style of arm connection. Crotch and most the legs is complete - already managed to include articulation to an extent of the knee's and hips (thanks to your help) Looking into the waist articulation next.
  17. Ah, never brought any of them and dont think i've seen reviews of them. Though yeah, i guess at least it has the rotating torso here.
  18. So; Leg Articulation Knee Articulation Shoulder pads Cover Technic pieces Scale issues with chest/head Colour scheme fixing Anyone else got any suggestions of improvements for the modification? Will probably set to work on it now and see how it goes (Some nice music for the project) :3
  19. Negatives; I thought it would at least have knee articulation - but with no forwards/backward leg articulation, no knee articulation, all the Mech can do is stand straight or with legs apart and move it's arms. Why even bother with arm articulation if you cannot put the Mech into poses? You cannot accurately replicate any scene from the films because it cannot move it's legs. It just stands there with the option to raise or lower it's arms on joints that will weaken quickly because (as we know from Fire Mech) they cannot support the weight. The price is too high for what the set is, not counting the amount of pieces the mech is smaller than all others main Ninjago Movie Mechs released recently Head is too large/domed to replicate the Hulkbuster helmet which is less domed Tons of stickers - virtually no printed pieces other than the helmet from what i can see Unnecessary greebling, random tiny pieces all over the set, a majority dont really fit and seem like they would fall off. This coupled with unnecessary colours being thrown into the mix makes the design of the Hulkbuster look unfinished (probably the intention) but it's not something I'd want to display in its current state Jackhammer arm is not accurate, the movie version replaces the entire arm including an altered shoulder and altered designs of the entire arm Positives; I am surprised that we have a rotating torso. I think this is the first time a Lego Mech has had a rotating torso, though i may be wrong about that. The price to parts ratio sort of justifies it, but a majority of that is taken up with aspects of the set which are not needed such as the large unnecessary base. The coverage is also fairly good, the back of the hands require a little work but otherwise it seems good - i'd question how sturdy certain aspects are though and a few aspects feature exposed technic pieces that could probably be covered up easily Addition of a light brick is nice, but the set desperately needed more - the hands are clearly meant to include one given the design is sort of lacking around that area and it seems easy enough to swap out a brick for a light brick to give him repulsor hands Overall; I think combining aspects from Quake Mech, Fire Mech and UCS Hulkbuster could work quite well. In particular Quake Mech has a better arm connection method and Fire Mech has a better leg connection method enabling forward/backward articulation. I will be attempting this when i eventually get the set, but the price is still way too high to be a purchase without a promotion. I have VIP points enough to knock it down to a more reasonable £75 though so perhaps will pick up the set sooner just for the sake of modding it. Shall probably spend a while replicating it in LDD to get a sense of what would need to be altered to give such articulation.
  20. That Toy Fair version is a mess. It's built wrong, the main tower is missing a piece, it also has gained seemingly an extra tower on the side that is not in the final set along with some sort of gear feature, a place to hide what appears to be a prototype Mirror Of Erised and a different thicker base than the final product. Lego have definitely straight-up lied in the past. In this case however, i believe they had a new CEO recently, or at least someone directly involved in aspects such as this, who has decided to alter how Lego's marketing and PR works. Hence why the Marvel Superheroes theme has gotten pushed back from March 1st to March 3rd and we're not getting a VIP release for a D2C set in that theme - and why such a completely inaccurate set has turned up on display at Toy Fair despite us being shown the accurate version in a press release. The decision to show off the set was probably a decision made late in the process, perhaps the set was not completed at the time and they have desperately worked to assemble something similar to the final build to show off.
  21. Re posting here, but official pictures; https://www.thebrickfan.com/lego-marvel-super-heroes-the-hulkbuster-ultron-edition-76105-officially-announced/
  22. The Whomping Willow itself could be attached to some form of base plate or connective build. Though the set could just include a separate segment of the Courtyard or some aspect of the set that can connect to the back of the Great Hall, The Willow itself could in theory then be placed anywhere. Either that or you have the option to alter the layout given the multiple connection points that the Great Hall has. As Mata_Nui says though, it may just be encouraging you to buy another set.
  23. I think Lego are working off this sort of layout. *Forgive the Pastboard link, Imgur is currently down and Eurobricks is not uploading images properly https://pasteboard.co/H7XZFPW.png Indigo - Great Hall & Tower, Basilisk Yellow - Dumbledore's Office, Greenhouse, Hagrids Hut, Courtyard for Quidditch Practice, Defense Against the Dark Arts room, Fluffy & Troll Red - Whomping Willow, Car Throw in the cheap Aragog set and that's basically all the main monsters
  24. $129.99, £102.99, 129.99€
  25. Reminder; #75950 Aragog in the Forbidden Forest - $14.99 #75951 Newt Scamander's Briefcase - $24.99 #75952 Unknown Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald Set - $29.99 #75953 Ford Anglia Escape - $69.99 #75954 Hogwarts Great Hall - $89.99 #71043 Hogwarts Castle - $500 I wouldn't get hopes up for a Hogwarts Express, except as a potential addition to the Hogwarts Castle set.
