I own the Iron Man 'Without bust' and it seems and feels like a legitimate figure. The figure also has Lego copyright marks in the usual places. You are correct, the head is a different version from the Hulkbuster in 'The Hulkbuster Smash-up' In terms of timeline progression; AoU Hulkbuster -> Unknown Hulkbuster -> Wakanda battle Hulkbuster. _________________________________________________________________________ I think what we are looking at here is a 'Tony Stark workshop' scenario similar to the above concept art for Infinity War; - The 'Without bust' is an open bust version of the Mk 46, last seen in Age Of Ultron - The Hulkbuster head variant is likely a prototype he is working on also I guess this would be part of an Avengers Mansion set - probably scaled down considerably as i expect the movie would show us all his prior suits.

Suppose it's always possible the D2C will surprise us all, along with the other exclusive set. At least on the bright side we dont get many repeating figures, other than Outriders.

It's not listed among the figures in the Hulkbuster set... it could potentially be in that set, it would help to further justify the cost given the original had a big fig. I expect it's in the exclusive set, though i'd question why we have seen that and not the rest of the figures in the exclusive set. Main difference is really the width, could have done with the side segment being sacrificed to give us a wider building. If the door is double sided then I'll be buying two and giving it the wider look it needs. The side segment really is from somewhere entirely different, i'd guess it's mostly related to Spider-man.

Thought time :3 76101; The Outrider Dropship Attack €14.99 - 4 figures (1 repeated) (Same Price as 'Iron Man Vs Ultron) If this is meant to replicate the drop pods that fall onto Wakanda, the colour scheme does not really fit. The claws do not fit Captain America much, would have been improved if a darker colour also. Inclusion of extra Outrider justifies the price 76102; Thor's Weapon Quest €24.99 - 3 figures Ship looks 'ok' nothing special, might be more interested in it when seeing it attached to the one in the Ultimate Battle set. Small side build seems a bit pointless, not sure what it is trying to represent... Thor's weapon looks alright but could have been improved by having the colour of the axe match the back of the weapon piece. Really needed Thor's eye-patch. I guess Groot/Rocket are meant to justify having fewer figures but neither really stand out much (from pics of the figures) 76103; The Corvus Glaive Thrasher Attack €39.99 - 5 figures The Thrasher itself looks unnecessary, perhaps it's a fun mechanism to play with, but it's not particularly interesting in terms of design. The wall build looks great (depending on how much of it is stickers) and it appears to have a function given the technic piece inside. Corvus's Weapon looks good here. 76104; The Hulkbuster Smash-Up €34.99 - 4 figures (Same Price - 76031; The Hulkbuster Smash) The Hulkbuster itself is an improvement over the last version, the level of detail is increased and it overall appears more accurate to the movie. A few aspects could definitely be improved though, most noticeably the inner thigh and the feet having noticeable Lego studs that could have easily being covered up. The Dark Red CCBS shoulder piece is something i've wanted for a while. In regards to the rest of the build i would personally have sacrificed the shooter to improve the Hulkbuster more, it's an 'ok' design but nothing about it really adds to the set much in my view. The clear trans-purple Nexo Knights shield piece however could be very useful, I'd guess its part of the Wakanda defenses given the colour scheme. Proxima's weapon is bland Falcon's brick built wings are fine but not necessary and probably sticker covered 76107; Thanos' Ultimate Battle €79.99 - 3 figures + 1 big fig (Same Price as 76051; The Superhero Airport Battle) Ship is odd, not really interested in it but it's cheaper getting this set than buying the figures on their own. Has a similar price to Superhero Airport battle and unfortunately looks like the ship has roughly the same size despite the set only having a ship build from what i can tell. Not sure where the rest of the budget for this set went. Does not really feel worth the price The figure count is insanely low and even a big fig Thanos does not justify it - in comparison 'The Superhero Airport Battle' had 6 figures, 1 microfigure and 1 giant brick-built Ant-Man along with a Quinjet and an Airport build. This feels incredibly lackluster in comparison. It needed two more figure at least, i probably wont get it at full price. 76108; The Sanctum Sanctorm Showdown €99.99 - 4 figures + 1 big fig (Same Price as 76057; Web Warriors Ultimate Bridge Battle) Exterior build of the Sanctum looks fine, i like the new Window piece, seems accurate Need to see the interior, but from the exterior it looks small and empty on the inside The other segment does not really feel suited to the Sanctum and would have gladly sacrificed the exterior detail on the other segment to get a thicker Sanctum segment Cull Obsidian looks good, should really have had something to separate the legs from the torso in terms of colour. Hammers is an odd choice of weapon for him but perhaps he uses them in the movie It needed one more figure at least to justify the price Main critiques Some of these sets simply dont justify the price in terms of appearance due to a low amount of figures or poor builds - coupled with inaccurate or badly done figures (Looking at you Captain America) I find this a bit of a difficult wave to rank, but here goes. 6. 76101;The Outrider Dropship Attack €14.99 5. 76102; Thor's Weapon Quest €24.99 4. 76107; Thanos' Ultimate Battle €79.99 3. 76103; The Corvus Glaive Thrasher Attack €39.99 2. 76104; The Hulkbuster Smash-Up €34.99 1. 76108; The Sanctum Sanctorm Showdown €99.99 Neither of the most expensive sets I'd feel comfortable with getting at retail value, though admittedly Sanctum feels more justified for the price than Thanos Ultimate Battle. Sanctum remains in a high position for the moment as i need to see the interior before judging, but it could easily drop lower if the interior sucks.

[PRESS RELEASE] 21313 LEGO Ideas: Ship in a Bottle
Scarilian replied to VBBN's topic in Special LEGO Themes
The focus of the original set was the ship and displaying the ship - any additional aspects such as the stand were themed like a Pirate ship. The focus of the new set is the bottle and the realistic nature of the stand I prefer the original designer's version - the ship would have been an instance buy, the bottle was also supported on what looked to be an absolutely amazing segment of a ship with a cannon. This would have easily been something i would have brought or brick-linked tons of in order to make a ship using this as a basis for the upper deck. -
I would guess he would include the mask, we dont know for sure yet though.

I've already ordered a custom Thanos which i shall probably use instead of the official one, the custom still has the armour but it has a more accurate removable helmet, better facial expression and head rotation so it gets the appearance across better. Shall give it the arms of the official version to portray the sleeveless look and should work fairly nicely even if it wont be as accurate in regards to torso print it'd gain the accuracy of a helmet-less appearance for Thanos. I normally break apart the sets unless they blow me away with what they are doing. The figures normally are more important for me, they can be used to recreate or act out scenes or simply for display. Guess we'll have to wait and see, should hopefully only be a few more days. Star Lord; Body looks 'ok', head is a mess primarily due to a printed piece that does not really fit and throws off the masked look. Iron Man; Pretty much what i expected, would probably look nice displayed next to the previous Iron Man Brickhead. Thanos; Should've been gold, but design is pretty good. Infinity Gauntlet printed piece looks disappointing, though i guess they wanted something less detailed.

Other than the large eyes and colour scheme the figure is incredibly accurate. Yes the arms and legs are lacking in detail, but the parts that are detailed look great. I can understand why some are annoyed, but it could have been a lot worse. It's still one of the better figures/big figs of the wave having more detail than Thanos. Arm is the same as normal, the Armour piece is attached to the torso.

In regards to the Sanctum, I would guess they wanted to increase playability. I have not seen the set but i can guess some of the decisions made behind these aspects; Pizzeria seems to be there mostly for the 'a buildable Shawarma grill' perhaps the Pizzeria replicates the end of Avengers Peter's room, depending on whether it is based on the Civil War or Homecoming Room could be used to replicates some of the iconic scenes (Tony meeting Peter, Ned discovering who Peter is, Aunt May discovering who Peter is) along with perhaps some scenes from Infinity War. The movie version of the Sanctum also honestly does not have that much which could be adapted to Lego. Mostly everything the Sanctum has is listed in the descriptions other than possibly the staircase, which may not be included if the set is an opening playset. Looking at the description i dont really see anything they have missed, it all really depends how it looks in person. As long as it looks great from the outside i wouldn't mind too much as i can mod the previous Doctor Strange set's aspects into the Sanctum and customize it a bit with spare parts. As such i do not mind random additional aspects as long as they do not detract from the rest of the Sanctum build, primarily the exterior. My wallet is screaming... That's about €505 for the entire wave and it depends a lot on conversion as to how that'll work out here. I guess it's time to use VIP points. Do we know release dates for the Store Exclusives? (76015, 76106) Either way, the pricing of 76105 and 76106 reassures me a little that we'll end up getting the missing figures. I really hope that 76106 comes with an updated Thanos, but i guess that we have Avengers 4 if not.

Ah, neat :3 It's fine, I appreciate you sharing what you could - it helped us a lot during the dry period of not getting set info or anything. Would be in a very different position hype wise in regards to the sets without your remarks on Black Dwarf / Cull Obsidian for example. I think people at the moment just feel left out that they have not seen the sets. Also sometimes due to the limited number of commenters here during the dry period it gives the impression that more people have seen the set leaks than they actually have. It normally gets this way closer to the more public reveal of the sets via catalogue leaks - 'the night is darkest just before the dawn' comes into mind :P

I think a lot of it speaks for the hype generated by the sets, even though at this stage we've seen all (or almost all) the confirmed figures except for Black Dwarf/Cull Obsidian - people are still hyped over the sets. I expect when they leak publicly they will leak in an obvious location or spread like wildfire so i doubt people will have as much difficulty finding them as random leaks of the figures - plus with the GotG2 sets Lego sort of gave up at preventing them when leaked catalogue pictures hit the net publicly and it was reported by news sites a few days later. A lot of people are similar and want the hype to keep going, it'd give us more to talk about than if the sets had appeared at the start of the month. A good comparison is the Black Panther sets, we saw them, there is about a page commenting on them and then everyone moved on to Infinity War. Yoshi is merely remarking that they want the hype to continue, they are not intentionally saying that a leaker is going to leak the sets a day at a time in order to make it a form of an event (although admittedly some have done so in the past with certain Lego themes) Little drops of information would be better than I guess people have made a bit of an 'event' about it, because everyone likes to be a little naughty and get to see things before they are meant to - it's why Lego themselves teases fans with countdowns and sneak peaks at Lego Ideas sets nowadays such as hiding them in videos, set covers or simply showing a small part of them. Leaks generate hype and anticipation for leaks is all that the fanbase really has during the wait until the set's officially revealed later in the month. Giving the pictures is a risk as Lego could easily take down the accounts and in some cases can track back individual pictures to the original source via varied codes printed on the images - which is why most leakers have stopped leaking. It's not really worth losing established accounts for a copyright marked image of the sets when they are going to be revealed in better quality via a catalogue in a few days (with the GotG sets they were leaked on the 12th) and officially revealed at the end of the month. I appreciate the work done by those relaying small tidbits of information to the community, without whom there would be reduced hype. Granted it is frustrating when it feels like everyone has seen the images and you have not, but trust me that it just feels that way when in a closed group such as this one - a majority of those interested have not seen the sets. Was unaware they even had Lego ones.

What sort of color scheme is the figure, from the remarks you mentioned the orange cloth prints - but what colour is the figure primarily including the arms - are the arms/legs printed or anything?

Movie Black Dwarf / Cull Obsidian for reference; One of the main figures i'm hyped for and everyone else is seeing it first D: Glad to hear it's amazing though from the sounds of things. Thanos has potential for a new mold for Avengers 4, the D2C or the other missing set. If they do kill off Black Dwarf/Cull Obsidian then we wont get another chance for his figure - so i'm glad that he's sounding like a great big fig. Think that ties in with the somewhat accurate remarks from TheBrickShow where they remark on the Thor set being an escape pod that can attach to the Milano - or a similar sort of situation.

I think the green jacket look is only for a specific few scenes involving Vision and that if she is included in the D2C or potential retailer exclusive it might be based on a later scene in the movie. I dont think it has been confirmed, though i remember seeing a Youtube video where the retailer exclusive set was mentioned. I believe the video mentioning it was posted here. The retailer exclusive could contain spoilers like Tanker Truck Takedown (likely hidden due to Spider-man's appearance) or it may simply be an unexplained reason like Hydra Fortress Smash. The D2C is likely based off either an iconic aspect or an important aspect of Infinity War - either way it'll likely be revealed slightly later. If i remember correctly the Helicarrier was the last D2C and they kind of made a big deal out of that, so potentially the same will happen with this one... i dont know >< Part of me is hoping that this is the D2C just due to sheer insane awesomeness;

In terms of D2C; The Sanctum is cheaper and includes four figures & a Big Fig In terms of the mentioned retail exclusive set; AOU; Hydra Fortress Smash included Four figures & Big Fig Hulk Civil War; Tanker Truck Takedown included Four Figures So honestly I'm expecting that we'll get eight figures via these two sets. Looking at previous retail exclusives; Hydra Fortress Smash was 76041, which was closer to the Ant-Man set and the Helicarrier D2C Tanker Truck Takedown was 76067, which was a bit of a distance number-wise away from the Civil War sets being grouped consecutively with the Might Micro's. As such numbers are not as reliable at knowing retailer exclusives - most the time they are outside the normal set numbers by a little. Brickset currently lists 76105 as an Infinity War set... so it could be a retailer set, or the D2C... or simply an error on the system. We should see leaks for most the sets in a week or so now which should tide us over until we hear more about the retailer exclusive and D2C.

We've got two big figs in this line - Thanos & Black Dwarf/Cull Obsidian. I'm not sure what another Hulk big fig would really offer as i'd want it to be different enough to justify getting it.

A lot of people expected more figures in most the big sets. I would guess that in order to allocate budget to include the D2C they either needed to reduce the figures or they redistributed the figures to spread it out into the D2C. I'm going to do quite a massive deconstruction of what to expect, so the working out will be in the spoiler tag for space :P After the calculations above my final expectations for the remaining figures we will get are; Wong (New Figure, given we have not had this character before) Winter Soldier (Would likely be a repeated figure of the Civil War variant just with an arm without the star) War Machine (Would likely be a repeated figure of the Civil War variant just with a shoulder cannon) Scarlet Witch (Would likely be a repeated figure of the Civil War variant) Nebula (New Variant, given neither of the prior versions would match) Mantis (Would likely be a repeated figure of the GOTG2 version) Drax (Could either be a repeat or a new variant) Hawkeye (Could either be a repeat or a new variant)

New info from 'TheBrickShow' 76101; - The Outrider Dropship Attack - Dropship is black/trans blue 76102; - Thor's weapon quest - Buildable black portal, fairly small in size - Spaceship looking like a Quadjumper from Star Wars, small in size also, flown by Rocket - Electric pulses from Thor's hands 76103; - Corvus Glaive Thrasher Attack - Includes an Outrider (not mentioned in description) - Tower build - Bladed weapon build crashing into tower 76104; - Hulkbuster Smashup - Includes an Outrider (not mentioned in description) - Hulkbuster looks very similar, but potentially bigger - Small turret build - Falcon has build-able wings 76107; - Thanos's Ultimate Battle - New 'Milano' but grey/orange/mango colored - New 'Milano' is similar size to GOTG2 Milano - No builds other than the New 'Milano' - Iron Man has his jetpack sort of thing - Confirmation of only Thanos, Iron Man, Star Lord, Gamora :( 76108; - Sanctum Sanatorium Showdown - Looks like a small Lego Creator modular - Front/Side look detailed in a similar sense - Molded head for Cull Obsidian/Black Dwarf, looks 'cool'

I honestly had kind of forgotten about it. It just does not look right from the side or back, there is too much red on the suit despite the movie version being primarily blue. I would fix this by swapping the legs in order to break up the red a bit, but unfortunately the figure has a lighter shade of blue than the Civil War & Homecoming variant (despite the movie version appearing to be a darker blue) Maybe I'll end up liking it more in person.

Guardians Of The Galaxy 2 catalogue images leaked on the 12th January with official images arriving on the 18th January and were displayed in person at the Nuremberg toy fair on the 31st January. Either way, shouldn't be too long now till we see the Infinity War sets (or at least some of them) I already have a full printed version of Gamora with the Ravager style outfit thanks to the Rocket Polybag from a while back. So for me the best figure so far would be Ebony Maw, though Gamora does come a close second with the HUD Iron Man getting third.

The D2C is not listed yet. I dont think there is a need for Ant-Man or War Machine to get another figure for Infinity War as they look the same as the previous figures and (in the case of Ant-Man) have another movie with potential tie-in Lego sets coming out later in the year. I'd be willing to bet that we'll see Nebula and Drax among others in the D2C - likely along with a surprise character that they do not wish to reveal until closer to the movie's release.
