    Went to Target today but they had no Lego, a staff member I spoke to said they shipped them all out before the liquidation sale.

    No one is getting rich off an approved Ideas set. You get "1% of the total net sales of the product". I'm hoping for newer Doctors and companions (please can we get Donna).

    If there's space I'd like to join. I used to blog and was thinking I could post about my new lego collection so learning about better reviews and photography would be great.

    The fan light over the windows on the main floor - is that a new brick? I'm fairly new to lego and haven't seen those before.

    Fred Meyer had buy 1, get 1 40% off. I don't think it applied to all sets (like Friends) and it didn't count for minifigs. The shop I was at had 11 boxes of series 12 and 2 empty boxes for 13. Not a lot of variety so I didn't have the chance to use the promo.

    Am I the only one a bit disappointed in the mansion? It'll need expanding and I hope the purple isn't too bright.

    I've seen a bunch at the Lego store and some independents since xmas here on the Canadian west coast, hopefully it's not that scarce down south. The store even had some exo suits (at least they did two weeks ago).

    Arkham - I'm building it now and it's a fun set. It might be hard to find at this point, depending on where you live. I've been tempted by the ecto but am hoping to get it on sale. I believe the town hall is already retired.

    It sounds like they won't be marking things down for at least 2 weeks, but who knows what stock they'll have. I have no idea what is going on at TRU, the one I've been to has no Friends sets and it's been like that since new years.

    Bigger projects keep passing the votes needed for review on Lego Ideas so if there is a size limit, they should put it in the guidelines. I'm hoping they'll see the demand is there and pass a building or two. In any case, I'm intrigued by the Scooby Doo mystery mansion and Friends grand hotel later this year. The town hall is retired, they might as well update the website.

    I'm getting impatient waiting for the next Ideas approval announcement...there's a few larger sets that could possibly fit in a town setting if they pass.

    I don't have a monthly budget but am thinking that I should set one. I only recently came out of my dark ages so splurged a bit trying to get some sets that were older and possibly retiring. For larger purchases I'm going to try to wait for double points.

    I wish I could find another one, on sale, and do a proper expansion. I think they're getting harder to find, nevermind on sale.

    Found a creator bike and cafe at London Drugs for 25% off last night while hunting for older minifigs. This weekend I'll see if the Lego Store still has the calendar coupon promo and if more 2015 sets are in, especially the minifigs. I've already snagged a hot dog guy at Mastermind but they only had one case when I was there and I had a hard time figuring out what was what. It really bugged me that they had old LOTR sets but none were discounted.

    I've seen containers like those at the Container Store. I get a cheaper version at Daiso but I'm not sure what other locations they have (I'm in Canada and have to drive out to one of the burbs to shop there). Most items at Daiso are $2, although some of the display cases might be more, I can't remember specific prices.

    "Upon original creator’s approval, building instructions and parts will be available at Bricklink.Both the original creator and user who recommended the brick project will receive royalties based on the brick project’s sales." If the original creator approves, I think it could be a nice idea for customers who aren't great at MOC'ing to be able to buy other sets without struggling to figure out the LDD and piece out a project. A lot of times I have no idea what custom projects cost and it's daunting for newbies. It might not go very far in any case.

    Last weekend I bought the Friends bunny polybag and new bunny set at Target. Today I got an Arkham Asylum breakout at TRU and a $10 off promo. At the Lego store, I purchased the Idea: Birds, SW microfighter X-wing fighter, and Friends pizzeria to get the promos. Some of the new sets weren't in stock and I forgot my calendar coupon so I'll have to go back later this month. On ebay, I won an auction for the LOTR black gate.

    At the store today they didn't have the DO on display yet, a staff member was taking it home tonight to assemble. I really want to see it in person before buying it. I'm not big into SW so I didn't even remember to look for the Slave.

    Went to the store today and they didn't have some of the sets - no new bad cop, minifigures, base plates, etc. They did have the DO but it sounds like some new items are delayed. You'd think a bit would be available online though.
