    Called the store this weekend and they were out of the Thanksgiving set but they had stock online. I'm hoping the gingerbread promo will be available until the Dr. Who set is released (Dec 1st). There should be another double points offer before xmas, shouldn't there?

    Plus, they have fewer females to begin with...Lego needs to increase their gender equality when it comes to minifigs. (Sure, the opposite can be said for the Friends line but those are dolls.)

    The Banshee is the last one I'm looking for, too. Unless I get some doubles. I've dragged my sister with me to feel the bags and it took awhile to find the witch, it was one of the last ones she found.

    I've started my hunt for the new minifigs this weekend - there were only a few bags left at the TRU in Coqutilam yesterday and I got a plant guy and skeleton. Ran by Chapters today and they only had series 12 (!), 13, and Simpsons 2.

    When I called last weekend, they didn't have 14 at the TRU near me but said they had Simpsons and s13. Although they sell out at Lego, they seem to linger at other stores. I was tempted to check the store today but had too many errands and assume it could be less likely to find them early in Canada.

    I keep sitting on the fence about Orthanc. I skipped it during the last double points then reconsidered it this month to get the Winter Soldier minifig. Then my sister and the cashier both said if it's between the ferris wheel and orthanc, get the ferris wheel. Staff said they had at least 3 towers hanging around in storage. I do regret buying a lot with Helms Deep and other castle parts off ebay - sorting all the bricks was a bunch of work and for some reason, I just didn't like it that much when it was together. Now I've got to sell it to try and recoup some money. Other regrets are not getting out of my dark ages to get some Potter sets and the MF Haunted House.

    It's been weeks since I've voted for anything on Ideas. I am looking forward to the Big Bang Theory and Dr Who but if they continually reject larger projects I don't see much point in supporting them or even regularly browsing the website. I know other people really like the piano but if that's the only one that passes this round it'll be a big letdown imo.

    Ran by the store in Surrey today to see what the pick a brick looks like now. About two rows are gone to make way for the models and with the bottom row full of 2x6 (or 2x8s?) there wasn't a very good selection left. At least they still had a few 1x2s that I could use. Plus they now have cups on the wall and on the counter behind the cashiers, taking 4 spots where bins used to be. My sister spotted the last few cats and seagulls in the minifig bin. They did have some Easter sets and Tower of Orthanc, though. I forgot to see if they had any Pet Shops.

    If you'll want both eventually then get the PC first since it should disappear faster. It all depends on your street as well - do you want a corner building? In theory, the next one will be a corner building... I like both but felt like I needed to add a bit to the interior of the cinema.

    Lego has had some minifigs with scarring or disfiguration or however you want to describe it - LOTR orcs, Hand of Sauron, SW Palpatine, DC Two Face, zombies, etc. Some have masks or helmets to cover the faces. So it could be done. It is pretty mature content but I wish they would take AFOLs into consideration more often.

    The Lego Friends line has some nice interiors, although you might not like the theme. However, some of the Friends houses are a bit pricey and I think Olivia's has retired. There's also ideas in the Lego Neighborhood Book. I'd buy a subclass; I'd be open to a lot of things related to modulars.

    Besides the fact that some are awesome? :p Well, I guess it depends on if you like chibi-fied vehicles. I'd love to get a small ecto without having to spend $60 Cdn on a set or Wonder Woman's invisible jet. Too bad we couldn't get Serenity. Fingers crossed for Harry Potter!

    Would the Mega Bloks Minions sets mean they are excluded from the game?

    The game didn't excite me but the expansion packs with the baby vehicles are very appealing! Ghostbusters and some Marvel would be fantastic.

    I'm not a big fan of the classic faces, I want more bang for my buck. And I'm on the fence with having minifigs in the buildings but I'm also the type of person who doesn't like dolls in dollhouses.

    Isn't it too early for reliable rumors? Kwik-E is almost out but if another release isn't until next year it seems too early to have much info. I'd like Androids if it was released, I just find it odd that people mention Moe's as a possibility. I'm more eager to hear about the next modular and that should be out in the fall and as far as I know, there's only guesses for now.
