  1. Hay all I was wondering what the part number is for minifig hands, I need to replace a few broken and missing hands. Can I just buy hands or do I need to buy arms and or torsso to get the hands. Im after s few diffrent colours.
  2. I just recived a purchse from eBay for a bulk lot of Star Wars Lego for $85 + $15 postage. When I sorted thorugh it I found 26 complete minifigs including Greedo, lightup Windu and Vader, Dewback to name a few as well as spair minifig parts. Also had 12 incomlete sets (4051 Cantina 90% complete), and one mini imperial shuttle still in the box. $100 investment for average price of about $350 worth of minifigs + 1 1/2 - 2 kg of incomplete sets = :sweet:
  3. I dont mind the planet sets or the Hoth game. Planets are cheap easy ways of getting ceritain figs. The Hoth game should be fun to play with my son. I want to see what micro figs you get with the HOth game. They will be awsome to use in some mini MOC's that are too small for standard minifigs.
  4. I just saw over @ FBTB Venator link a 100% lego built replica for Eric Varszegi’s Venator. It has been put together with no glue, no metal support system and an increase of almost 10,000 parts to help strenghten it. ASlso has a video showing the great greeballing and details. Im sure it will be blogged here soon but incase you have missed it hit the link and check it out.
  5. Another nice little review masked. I give it a guess, Chrome Darth Vader? But from your wording it seems that you dont own that minifig. Im jelous as I missed out on the free ARF fig with the May the 4th promotion, instead I recieved a poster and choice of key ring as the stock had ran out. It is the only reason I made ans order but it was too late so I had to settle for a Palpatine key ring.
  6. Thes new pic are GOLD. Im loving the Droid escape and Im sure its going to be one of the best selling Star Wars sets to date. Stormies are a dime and a dozen but with the new prints they will be quite desirable. Even more detaileing than the Stormines that came with the Imperial Instection. All the figs are looking great for next year. I think that with the edition of Jek we can now start making a fleet of x wings. Sure they look very similar but with diffrent piolts and markings we can building a fleet to take on the Death Star. This is how I justify the new re-design. New Astromech droidsa are awsome, R5 is the best IMO. The R2 dose look very dark bule at the moment, we will see it they change him. He is over due for a change, I have like about 10 R2's the same at home. If this is a taste of whats to come im getting very excited about 2012's line up.
  7. Hay Darkness, you can pick up the minifig cases @ Toys r us for $30 for tha 16 fig case and $15 for the 8 fig case. I was @ Big W and saw the last one on the shelf for $20 for the 16 fig case, $10 cheaper than Toys R us mark up. If I knew earlyer that they where @W Big W for a 2/3 of the price I would have go them there. I would get in as fast as you can as stock is very limited. I picked up a 16 and 8 fig case in black but thats all they had left in black otherwise I would have bought more. Im hoping these will be popular and will return next year like the minifig sort and store head. Has anyone else found them @ any other retailer? FYI lovely Emily over @ bricksdownunder has but up some Aussie sales news including a nice table showing where to purchase Star Wars advent calenders including prices and postage to help you get the best deal. Thanks Emily!
  8. I love the first droid escape picture the best Linko. The sunset gives it a nice warm feeling. Great work .
  9. I was out @ cambelltown adn saw 1 yellow 16 minifig case and it was under $20. I payed #30 for a large and $15 for a small ones out at Toys R us, waht a rip off. I only bought them as I thought they would be Toy R us exculsives. If I only knew they where comming out @ other retailers I would have waited.
  10. That look mad, Ive tryed to make somthing like this befor but didnt work out too well. I might have to keep my eye out for it.
  11. I'll agree with the doctor, I want accuracy when it comes to Lego modles but there are a lot of thing to consider. I have said befor in posts I thinks it comes down alot to target audiance. Ive been slamed for saying Lego is a kids toy marketed for kids because I know that most SW lego collectors are adults but I still think it made for kids. The UCS sets are more technical and are for ages 14 and up. Just look at the age range on 6212 8-12. This set was targeted for kids ages 8-12, sure adults like Lego but still its made for 8-12 year old kids. If you want accuracy buy kits that at least 12 and over age range. Sorry to rant so long on the wrong topic but I wanted my say. Still think the Droid Escape is the best so far in next years line up. The pod does look very long but from the pelimenary pics it has more detiling than it predosessor.
  12. Great work on your CW MOC Doc. I hope you also wore gloves, as the CW has nasty bite . If bittin it will aso make cause damage to your wallet .
  13. Im sure it is. I think this is Lego sense of humor comming though again like Leia's ice block in the latest Hoth base set. Nice to see some added connon.
  14. New sets look good, but lack of new figs suck so far. Surly we will see new figs to replace figs like Gree. I love the new Droid escape. I'll still be waiting on final more detailed pics befor commenting more on the 2012 line up. Im a crazy SW Lego collector so I will be getting all of them if I can afford them. Time to start saving already. I just noiced on 9494 Eta-2 that R2 is full sized with his body and Nute Gunray has a 'NEW' logo next to him. Be interesting to see how TLG will keep the Eta-2 streamlined with that full R2 in the wing.
  15. Welcome kaykay, good to see amother Aussie join the community. As a fan base in Australia we need to stick together to discuss news and deals avaliable in Australia. I'm also from Sydney.
  16. Hay DrWeevil, great to see another Aussie join the ranks and seeing your status your female. Its good to have other Australians on the forums disscussing relevent Lego news and findings. Welcome aboard.
  17. Welcome and I cant wait to see your other creations your talking about as your Could City is very cool.
  18. Ive been checking my local Campbelltown store and havent see them yet . Thanks for the tip jonwil ill have to go looking this weekend.
  19. WOW, my 10 year old son does not build to anythimg like this quality. Surly he will become strong with the building force. Gerat little sceen.
  20. Na, he has just got a compleate Minifig sacle Death Star . Another great job ACPin!
  21. Yeah, I missed the fisrt post but you have made much improvments from the first build and taken the advice from members to make it better. This Star Wars crowd can be hard to please sometimes.
  22. WOW you have really cramed alot into this MOC. It looks a bit over crouded but love the idea and the build so far. Cant wait to see the final product.
  23. Nice to see this finally finished. Looks better than what I was expecting so im a little suprised . The wings look smooth and glossy but the grey bars need work. The wing arms look much better rounded and have more detail. Im not exacly sure how you put the wings and arms on but could you put a Technic bar into them to hold on better? Its hard to tell from the pics but it looks like you have already done this. You would have to mod the wing to have a hole in it. What will be hard is get the bar to join into the arm thorugh a cone element at the end. I cant remember if the element comes with a Technic hole in them? Great job with limited parts .
  24. I bought a stolen iPhone 2 year back and paypal gave me my money back on a not as discribed dispute. You shouldnt have any problems gettign the money back, it will just take time. Dont worry into the blue I nearly fell for a scam the other month which was discussed a few pages back that wansent thorugh ebay or paypal so I would not have got my $$$ back. Just have to be carfull and always remember 'if it looks too good to be true it probably is!'
