I think the set is average but we must remember as AFOL and SW fans we all want and expect movie accurate sets from Lego. In reality they are kids toys made and marketed to kids. Im sure almost all of us started our passion with Lego as a child and have now been bitten buy the Lego bug again with cool themed and UCS sets and having children of our own and building with them. We cant forget the roots of Lego - kids toys. So as a play set I think kids may actually like it. Maybe we need to get some kids to do a review of the set and get them to tell us what they really like about it. Kids dont get too hung up about accuracy. Just my thoughts after thinking about what direction Lego is taking with the SW line. If you want accuracy only collect and build the UCS sets.

I looked and looked for old Obi on the poster and cant see him. I must be blind, can someone please point him out? I agree about the spoilers Doctor as I haven't seen it and who knows when it would be released in Australia, but still this may be very interesting news!

I didn't think of that, but surly due to the SW story Han thought and I quote 'Kid, I've flown from one side of this galaxy to the other, and I've seen a lot of strange stuff, but I've never seen *anything* to make me believe that there's one all-powerful Force controlling everything. Yeah another excusive minifig comming with the DVD release of the Padwan Menace. Checkout http://www.fbtb.net/forums/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=6069 Comic con SW exclusive giveaway poster. I noticed that the posters is missing Obi-Wan from 7965, all the other characters are there from this set. So it dose not dispaly every single minifig from every set. I was also hoping we would see an new fig apart from the exculsive that comes with the DVD that would be released in a later relase for the 2011 line. Are we still going to get one more release for 2011?

Yeah, finally a good look at the new Hoth base. Its Lego and SW themed so I will get it, but over all a bit of a disappointment. New Luke fig is awsome, and more detailed and slightly diffrent Han and Leia is also good. I like when they change the figs as it is more appeling to collect sets with diffrent figs. How many crepy Anikins de we all own, and not until this year we got any variation with the Sith nightspeeder.

Although it didn't had exculsive minifigs you can only get the open visor version of clone with this set and 7163 Republic Gunship which makes it a pritty rare fig. How many standard clone do we all own . I missed out on these sets so they are quite desirable to me. Great first time review. IMO the newer vesion is way better with colours, functions and figures.

Great build, and I will comment on the rest of your collection, Amazing . Although it would be a lovely UCS Colud City set its not reconisable to as Cloud City, and I couldnt find any refrence pics to compare. Looking at your collection surly you have TLG version of Cloud City and you could use these minifigs for a more accurite look. Also I would have liked to see the carbinite chamber but its much better than I have ever made. Keep up the great work.

Yeah I agree. I hoping that a new Batman line will make the old sets come down in price as I would love to pic a few up but they have infalated so much. Now with new Batman sets it will either make the older ones more deirable and expensive, of maybe less desirable as you can now easyly get Batman Lego. Wait and see.

Cheapest on Bricklink is around $850 second hand, no so bad sitting here in Australia when the set was about $800 AU new from Lego. Hate Aussie prices

Wow KimT, this is pritty amazing. Now when the new DK book comes out you can add the cerimonial Han. Should make it just that little more detailed. OOO...1 post from 100. Nearly there to get my death star badge.

Very ambitious rick14, but if the price scares you start out small and buy one set at a time and wait for the Retialer's to have their sales. You can really save some mony if you shop around and have patience. Ebay can be great for bargins, but I know how you feel you just want all of them, NOW! Good luck with your purchases.

Now just have to convice my other half to give me time get building. She likes lego but never builds it, but at least she has patients when me any my son have Lego all over the house. We all know what it feels like whan you step on Lego . Plus I need to keep my sons hand of it as well. Yes , Yes, your right again . Now ive been involved in the SW fourms Im getting more and more tempted to pull down some of my kits and start MOCing. I like to contribute but you always take the words out of my mouth, but when i get some time I want to sit down and contribute a nice MOC or mod. Yes Is one of those flexable tubes. Doctor, you have done and awsome AT-ST, I relly like it. Really nice unusualy building technieques. As always I will agree with you on your critasims but I think you are being a bit to hash on yourself. Great job, and love how you spent the time to the features and proportions right. The only thing I really dont like is the T-47 tile from the mini set. If it was flush with the frount it would look better but cant really pick anything else. + IMO yours is much better than marshall banana's. :thumbup:

Great work, I would try to make the back of the cockpit more rounded and the nose a but thinner and streamlined but instantly reconisable and probly better that I would do.

I didn't get it until LegoCityMann decribed it. That's pritty good. I had my suspition that it was sitting on wheels but it was too hard to see through the clear bricks. You can just notice that the clear bricks are sitting off the table.

Nice, dull it down and make it a little more simple design and I could see TLG creating this. Great little play features and awsome figs would make this a desirable set. Keep up the great work.
