  1. Im from sydney but thanks for the tip TanTile, I'll heve to keep a look out.
  2. Not bad for a base design but it would look better if you modeled it of an acual lightsaber though. If your just getting the design down pat its alright, you have the blade retracting back into the hilt which is clever. Once your design works you can try to mod it to look like an ESP lightsaber. If not you shouldnt have contributed to the Community build for ESP. If you just want a generic lightsaber im sure us Star Wars fans would like to see it finished but if not got anything to do with ESP it shouldnot be posted as CB SW V. Keep going with the design I want to see the final product. P.S some Star Wars fans are very hard to please.
  3. Yeah a Lego shop here in Australian would fix this problem quick and easily. Come on Lego Where is the Aussie Lego shop???
  4. WOW thats awsome, all we need now in Australia is a Lego store so we can see this for real.
  5. Im anoyed that I was in the dark ages when alot of wonderful themes appeared like western but I mostly regreat not collecting themed sets like Batman and Star Wars that is way too expensive to get now days. Im currently into Star Wars and want the whole collection but this is an expensive line to get into if you where not there at the start. I always saw Indiana sets and thought Ill get one one day but still to this day I dont own any and the theme is now discontunued .
  6. That box is a really good idea. I also like the doctors idea of downloading digital copies as well. I currently have my soreted in ring binders and draws like masked builers dose.
  7. My bothers a motor trimmer and he fond a black 4x4 plate and a black scorpion wedged beteen the back seats and he gave them to me . I found a 1980's minifig compleate in a car park and last one I can think of is a few random white 2x plates in a rest stop on the side of the road when comming home from holidays a few years back. They had been slughtly ran over but still usable. My mate where I work now used to work for a landfill company and around schools holidays time he would come home every day with his pockets full of thrown out Lego. Now throwing away Lego is sacrilege .
  8. Ive got about 30 MISB sets that I find hard to make time and storage for (the biggest is the Imerial Shuttle that im waiting for my birthday in October to build). Ive got way more built though over 200 sets. I mainly dont have space and time but my son like to get his hands on them and then elements fall off and get lost. If they are sealed there are no way of loosing elements. Im currently buying bulk lots off the internet and this takes up most of my Lego time sorting through elements and building colmpete sets. I when I have time I will pick a MISB set and get building. Its nice to know I dont need to take a trip to the shop and fork out heeps of cash to get my Lego fix. Its always good to stock up when they are having sales to make it a bit of a caheper hobby. In the case I get into any finacial difficulties I can always sell them off at a better price than when I have opened them.
  9. Im sure I read somewhere that Lego puts in these random clours is so you get a variation of element colours for MOCing. Lego expects you to pull down the sets and make your own creations. Most OT Star Wars vehiles are mainly one colour so you would be getting a hell of a lot of grey elements in these sets. The can put some rendom clolurs in the insde if structures so they can bve used later in some other creation.
  10. Is that just using parts from 6205 or can you add any elemant that you wanted? Not a bad MOC of the Delta-7, wings are a bit narrow but in all you've got the shape down and is intantly reconisable. All the best in your contest.
  11. Nice use of perspective Bayou you have made a nice little MOC.
  12. Im wondering though if they will be avaliable in Australia? Us Aussies miss out on almost everything apart from actual Lego sets. All promotional stuff like this is usually missed when it comes to Australia. We despratly need a few Lego shops to pop up in the major capital cities.
  13. Looking at those prices they will slug us Aussies about $80-$100 for the tie fighter and xwing . What a rip off! My wallet is going to be very empty next year. Time to start saving now. Im hoping the battle packs will stay at the current Aussie price of $22 but I can see this pushing closer to $25 each if the US price has gone up.
  14. Slightly off topic but... Dose anyone make a EE-3 carbine rifle? Id love to get one for my Boba fett. Its very similar to the E-11 blaster used by the stormies but Boba moded his and added a scope and quick draw sholder sling. I've seen the E-11 around but never seen the EE-3.
  15. I like the Bionicle helmet mod, very clever and it fits just right.
  16. Back on the coulur blind question, we all know colour blindness or colour vision deficiency is the inability or decreased ability to see colour, or perceive colour differences, under lighting conditions when colour vision is not normally impaired. Dogs are colour blind but can see colours just not all the colours in the light spectrum. The do not see in black and white. wiki link to clour blindness About the vehicle clour like it was said erlier in a post they look very similar to Jurassic park colour sceme. All you need to do is add a bit more red on the bottom of the vehicle and there we go, Jurassice park Lego with out the heavey price on licencing fees. Look @ Star Wars Lego way over priced for waht you get partly due to licencing agreements and Lego having to pay money to Lucas. This way we get JP Lego at a cheaper price so we can just then buy more Lego .
  17. Awsome terminiantor, one of the best I have seen. I like the rusty details. I think you have done a really good job.
  18. WOW this is the first I have see of this theme as I'm stuck on the Star Wars thread all the time. My son is going to go crazy for this theme, boys just love Lego and dinosaurs so I think they make a perfect couple . Ive just been hunting down some cheap prices for the Dino Attack theme for my son ( we already have all the sets but he wants more dino's, vehicles and minifigs) and this will make it easyer to build up a bigger dinosaur army. The theme looks great but im agreeing with all those readers that are not liking the yellow as the main colour . I think a darker colour or even grey would have looked better. The new Raptors look awsome but the red T-rex looks a bit odd in that colour, but waht colour where dinosuars? We will never know. Lets see the sets in full detail before making my final comments on this theme.
  19. Nice start APCin, looks like the start of another great build. Very detailed and gives a swampy Degabah feel.
  20. Just recived my latest ebay purchse. Bulk Star Wars lot for $85 + $15 postage. It had a 90% 4051 cantina among 12 other partatal sets as well as 26 minifgs including light up Darth and Windu, Greedo, Grevous with cape, Luke degobah, bib fortana, original yoda, 2 wookie worriors, chewbacca, eps 3 clones, battle droids, two R2's + more. Was not sure what was in the lot untill i recived it and I was very impressed . Added a few figs to my collection that I didnt have. It was about $350 worth of minifigs alone + 2 kg of other Lego.
  21. Look good, Im liking the helmet shape. It defently looks like phase 2 class.
  22. I agree, they should have put B2 legs on the assassin droids and left B1 legs on the commando droids. Manga droids are pritty tall and need B2 legs IMO.
  23. Awsome, thanks Donut.
  24. Yeah I keep missing this page I will new need to keep chcking it, thanks.
  25. I wonder if it comes with the child Han ninifig. I have seen pictures of the DVD with no minifig. If it comes with the minifig I will buy it otherwise I have already downloaded it and watched it. Still would be cool to have the other SW Lego mini movies.
