Here I finish it on time and you extend the deadline. I wonder if that means I can finish another in the extra time.

The grapevines are well done and really create the illusion of real vines. I also really like the house. My favorite part though is that pond and how it is set beneath the landscape level. Very well done overall on the build and the teams. Now back to putting together my team.

[MOC] Western Town & Bull-Riding Tournament
SilentWolf replied to Fletcher Floyd's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
I love the Western theme and these mocs make me want to break out my western figures. I like the Western town you have built here. The different colors really help the buildings stand out. The figures are awesome throughout. I also really like the way you did the bull riding. Look forward to more. -
Those tents are pretty impressive and I am going to use them for inspiration in the future. I won't rehash any recommendations for improvement but will complement you on matching the classic lego look in your building. I am intrigued and expectant of the builds showing your expedition as it promises to be a fun concept.

[COR-FB1] Mesabi Landing, Fort Agravia
SilentWolf replied to Mesabi's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
That mortar , that drunk horse , that Major . This is definitely a hilarious build, though I do like the build as well. There is places to improve and polish but the story and the build do work well. I also must comment on the use of the new blue and white bowl. I am still searching for some for myself, so I am glad to see some make it into builds.- 8 replies

[COR - Aug FB] Leaving Nova Malto
SilentWolf replied to Ayrlego's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
This is a gorgeous moc! The rows upon rows of soldiers is simply awesome. Of course that they are turning a corner makes it even more impressive. I counted 39 redcoats in this build and I am glad you were able to more than double the numbers from the 18 you had in the barracks build. Of course there is the great texture and foliage but the soldiers are what I love.- 15 replies

I really like the outside of this building, and the various accents you added to its facade. The inside with its activity and furnishings is also well done. Though my personal favorite is all the clocks and their varying designs. I would also be amiss to not mention the greatness of the first photo with the shadow of the minifigure shown through the door windows.

I am back and you guys made my return busy with all the builds that needed commented on. I am sure I probably missed a dozen or two that were pushed farther down. Now back to the lego sorting and building on my workspace.- 897 replies

[SR - FB3 July 17] a mouse study
SilentWolf replied to Professor Thaum's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
This is a very funny story and was quite enjoyable. I like the tower and the vegetation in this build. Also the posing of the minifigures throughout the story was great. I know that the dynamic posing can be difficult with photographing them. Great job. -
That warehouse has all the coloring and style a minifigure would expect of the Seawolf Shipping Company. The warehouse is also really well done and I like the dock activity. The story technique used here is also a great method. Glad to have you back building in BOBS. I look forward to more from the Seawolf Shipping Company.

[ESL - FB] MAESTRO Warehouse at Puerto Desafio
SilentWolf replied to Maxim I's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
That pavement method works great with this microbuild though the sideways round tile on the close end looks a little odd. Nice usage of the round corner piece to avoid a squared build.- 7 replies

[ESL - FB] New Haven School & The Blues Inn
SilentWolf replied to Maxim I's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
Nice vegetation at the front of the build to give a change in view, and nice facades of the buildings. I like the snot tiles on the red building. I hadn't considered using the darker background color before. Great build overall. -
[COR-FB1-Aug17] (Micro) Warehouse and Pier in New Haven
SilentWolf replied to Brickwolf's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
I am loving all the microbuilds floating around and this one is no exception. I might have to try my hand at one someday. The boat at the dock definitely makes the dock and warehouse seem large and important. -
[COR - Aug FB] Armoury, Port Woodhouse
SilentWolf replied to Ayrlego's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
The outside of this armory is great with its classic feel and Ayrlego flair. It has some great aspects that I had mentioned before on your partner builds. However, the interior on this build is the exceptional part. The gun racks are amazing and the lined up weapons are so perfectly orderly that they obviously must be in a Corrington armory. The work bench is great and I like the little but effective detail of the hussar holding his hat. I also like that the walls are two bricks wide which allows some details that are impossible with just one brick (ie window sills and door placement). Great job.- 11 replies

Great use of the corner wall pieces and the angled door frame! I had been looking forward to seeing more windmills in BOBS and this one definitely does not disappoint. The landscape is a little plain, and I might recommend a non square base to help out with it. I do like the way you did the top of the mill. Great addition to New Haven!
-
Great house that definitely fits into the theme of housing presently being portrayed. The minifigure posing and the non-square base are both exceptional. My only critique of this build is the random fuzziness at the lower right corner of the photo. Though not blocking the build itself, it is a little distracting. I do like the offset roof though if you hadn't mentioned it, I might have missed it due to the angle of the photography.

Great build and story! I like how you created the Great Raider people, and fleshed out all the classes of the nation. The battle scenes are well done. The gurney and the soldier setting the ball in his musket with his ramrod are all great details. Also the firing cannon and musket are always great touches. One of my favorite aspects of this story, is that you are telling a historic story allowing things to be portrayed that can't be done with the present state of affairs and peace in the Brick Seas. I look forward to part 2 of the story.

A funny story and a nice little build. I really like the angled dock and though I don't completely understand the rockwork (as I am still trying to figure out basic rockwork) the build does look nice. The last picture is a fun one. What piece is making up the stock of that palm tree?

This is a great little build and storyline! I am particularly fond of the little shack and the minifigs. Interested to hear what you find. The setup cost is paid through the same link as the licensing of the mine. Select a small mine on the first page and when the second page pops up it will give an option to select Prospect. There shouldn't be any transfer of fees to the faction.
-
Beautiful building and great storyline! I love the wraparound porch. I also really like the technique you used to put the windows frames in. I also like the vegetation and specifically the tree. The parasol is also a nice touch. I like how Port Woodhouse is turning out.

[ETTC Cocoa Factory] Fermentation Stage
SilentWolf replied to Ayrlego's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
I may be a little slow in responding, but not in appreciating this build. You did an exceptional job of portraying the fermentation process. I love all the usage of the masonry bricks especially the pillars that are on the inside AND outside. The vats are really well done and I like the ideas designed around the process. The exterior is great with both the roof and the wooden roof piece looking great. Your cobblestone method is great and the random larger tile and the 1x1 studs help break up the perfectness. I shall have to use that in the future. The plants also offer a great color accent and a change from the basic colors being used. Great job on part 3, or is it part 1, or is it part 2 since the plantation is part 1.... -

[COR - Jul FB] Infantry Barracks, Port Woodhouse
SilentWolf replied to Ayrlego's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
A great build and it definitely does breathe of classic lego influence. My favorites are the roof, and the wheel covers over the windows. Of course, I also love a build that has a good display of soldiers. I would love to see you fit all your troops in one build. I already tried it for myself though I couldn't get everyone in. I only got 52 redcoats and some scouts in. Back to your build, I always enjoy the texture you add to your ground and this is no exception.- 13 replies

Small factories are my bane. (All factories are my nemesis for this era.) It is interesting that you have created an idea that may or may not work. It looks and sounds authentic. Nice job on the flooring and the photography.
