  1. interesting diff mechanism, my only concern is the chains may snap under high loads, i experienced this myself with the akiyuki ball factory, i suggest upgrading to 2 sets of chains incase 1 snaps .
  2. this thread is excellent i shall add this to the Akiyuki project page as well. i have instructions for the ball counter and ball catcher input as well. currently building tensegrity and its a very enjoyable build, some errors in the instructions though so i will post those when im finished also regarding framed robots, i have been testing my grabber design for several days now and its fairly reliable with only a couple of adjustments needed, i guess the real test for it will be at brickvention 23
  3. congrats on the win, i have someone who wants to build this if your going to make instructions.
  4. congrats @Berthil on the win, this was a very interesting contest, i enjoyed it
  5. has anyone tested this? the servo looks like it has proportional control? only downside is it has different plugs https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005005032408581.html?spm=a2g0o.productlist.main.89.48b46a98Bw7A1s&algo_pvid=6180ba3a-da4a-482c-a94e-cb0b5d0e7d38&algo_exp_id=6180ba3a-da4a-482c-a94e-cb0b5d0e7d38-44&pdp_ext_f={"sku_id"%3A"12000031396784699"}&pdp_npi=2%40dis!AUD!64.46!48.34!!!!!%40210213c816711806019961829d0733!12000031396784699!sea&curPageLogUid=jVcWUsy6j8rw
  6. a new GBC layout from akiyuki and others. some interesting changes to his modules here, he has removed the black connections on the ends of his modules. the inputs are now bulkier for some reason. 6 heads output is now moved to the front. basket shooter has a very complicated splitter. screw type 1 has been shortened, same with the output ramp from the cup to cup
  7. i like this idea, i decided to do the descender based on @OneMoreRobots version with the 8 buckets, i need to add the 5 rings to the front page as its missing, will also add some of @Berthils designs like the rimo buckets and i think they deserve to be featured also i have IO files for ALL of the akiyuki modules in this project and will put a link to them for people to use, took myself and @Jude The Lego Dude ages to do them.
  8. there are black versions of part X85 being sold on aliexpress for a very cheap price, i have tested then and they work great in all the cup to cup modules
  9. @GerritvdG these also work great, and cheaper than the quercetti marbles https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005004361807611.html?spm=a2g0o.order_list.0.0.51d61802xssTSR
  10. if anyone is looking for inspiration for their modules, i have all the stud.io files for all of the Akiyuki project modules if your interested. defiantly check out the akiyuki project thread too https://bricksafe.com/pages/gbcbuilder/akiyuki/akiyuki-project-files
  11. @MajklSpajkl is this your layout? i like the use of the elevator module in it, the marble run is also nice
  12. @Lego_GBC_NL good to see you back, have you built any other akiyuki modules?
  13. i have done full pdf instructions for the step module with the file from @Ankoku, i have make some changes of my own to make it fit in with the other modules in this project. https://rebrickable.com/mocs/MOC-119901/9vsystem/gbc-akiyuki-step-module-v2/#details
  14. hi all, im currently getting modules ready for brickvention next year and one of the modules i decide to pull out was the marble run, i had a lot of issues with this one and just put it on my shelves for another time when i felt like tackling it again. anyway i spent a bit of time on it today and was able to get it mostly 100% zero ball spills but i still have the occasional one fly off. has anyone been able to get this module to be fully reliable? im currently waiting for the elevator parts to come so i can test it better. has anyone changed some of the angles of the connectors? and if so can you show me? thanks
  15. greetings all, all the files for the Akiyuki project are now fully digitized and are available for download thanks to @Jude The Lego Dude for helping me with some of these https://bricksafe.com/pages/gbcbuilder/akiyuki/akiyuki-project-files
  16. i found that the blue pump has the extra plastic at the base to stop it from cracking, the older ones have issues with splitting at the base causing loss of pressure
  17. your in luck, myself and @Ethan M are working on instructions for it, i have finished my part, and the module section is ready, just need to do the gearbox
  18. hi Berthil, will you be creating instructions for this masterpiece? i have the nxt version but would love to build this as i love the way it works thanks
  19. has anyone been successful with getting their designs made by CaDa? i have a couple of GBC modules i would love to get made into sets
  20. no worries, please let me know if it is ok to share them here. we have been testing these motors and the MK ones for GBCs as well as the cheap generics too with some interesting results.
  21. this was out GBC layout at brickvention. the Akiyuki ones with the exception of the planets, catch and spin and five rings were mine, built from all new parts, i used motors from aliexpress and they held up well esp the mouldking ones.
  22. im interested in the files for the motors and controller, have you done the other cada motors too? double eagle servo and L motor
  23. greetings all, after some time working on other GBCs of Akiyuki and rebuilding them out of all new parts im now going to rebuild this masterpiece out of all new parts as always. will see how well it runs on a mouldking or generic XL motor and report back after testing PS. does anyone have a file of the module the could kindly send to me to play around with? thanks another copy spotted, looks like its working well
