Welcome to Eurobricks, Modularguy! Do you only collect the modulars or do you build your own buildings (or both)? I am looking forward to your community contributions!

Nice build, ME! The trees are realistic with the fungus on the trunk! The dead tree with the 'gator hiding underneath looks great as well. I like the way you make the swamp water with the SNOT dark green bricks, and the protruding black spikes help with the overgrown feel of a swamp. The wizard's coracle is simply nice as well!

These are really cool, Seltz! Maybe it is just that I am very partial to the T-47, but I think your modifications are great! The weapons, engine, and airfoil mods are very nice, as are the color schemes. I like the slightly asymmetric components. The snow-trooper pilot is an interesting idea!

[Council with the Wise] Ch.III Men Cat. C
Slegengr replied to Jakorin Swiftsword's topic in Guilds of Historica
Nice build, Jakorin! I really like the trees, especially the many angles on the foliage! The landscape and irregular base are great as well, especially the rock extending under and beyond the grass edge. Nice story, I am awaiting more for this category. -
Nice microbuild, Tomsche! I like how you made the ship and the gap in the rocks with the sun shining through! The little towers on top are a great addition to add more detail.
-
Nice build, Vitreolum! The workshop looks great, especially the forge, water spigot, anvil, table saw, and crane (basically the entire workshop)! I am surprised there is gold left in the walls, though, as the dwarves would probably have already raided the gold from the workshop walls . It does add a nice effect, though, as does the roots coming through the rock walls.

Official Eurobricks Straightshooters List
Slegengr replied to Siegfried's topic in Buy, Sell, Trade and Finds
+1 for Darth Caedus. Great trade! -
Nice swamp, Captain Flint! The broken bridge over the bubbly green swamp is fantastic! I like all the small details, like the various fungus, dead trees, ground color and style variation, rats, and frogs. I am looking forward to your inn!
-
Very interesting and Drow-ish, Vitreolum! The head and expression are nicely detailed, especially the pointed ears and pony-tail! The staff is nice as well. This figure may not be as pose-able as Ettin and the Myconian, but the robe still looks nice and Drow-like, especially in color choices. Your bigfigs are amazing, Vitreolum, so keep building them!

Interesting idea and nice MOC, Vorkosigan! I also think the wall of water coming around the gate and the flooding effect are nicely done! The mechanism for the floodgate is great! The minifigure posing and expressions are perfect!

These statues look very nice, ArchitectureFan! The helmets are particularly well-done! I am looking forward to seeing your take on Erebor, in completeness.

Very nice build, Dzoni90! It definitely has a near-East feel to it, like it would fit right into Kaliphlin in the Guilds of Historica . The tan walls are nicely done, as is the white building. The market stalls are great, and I like the inclusion of the well and the techniques used to build it. I think the ground would look a bit better with more elevation differences and some more rocks or desert foliage. Keep building great MOCs, Dzoni!

Very interesting ship, 6kyubi6! I really like that color scheme and the interesting parts usages throughout! The SNOT wings are great, the rubber bands on the engine add a nice detail, the tail and insignia/greebling is excellent!
-
Welcome to Eurobricks, matdeen! That is a nice hot rod! I am looking forward to your additions to the community!
-
Welcome to Eurobricks, Zeev! I also love the BSB and am interested in seeing your MODs or other ship MOCs! Used parts tubs can be excellent sources for building up a supply of loose pieces for MOCing.
-
Nice parts usage and interesting creature, Vitreolum! I particularly like the parts usage for the mushroom-head and the shoulders. The joints make this creature seem very pose-able! Where did those stickers come from? Are they original LEGO?
-
This is such a fun-looking build, mrcp6d! The snow on the slope is fantastic! I also like the way you made the medieval bobsleds and the stands.

I would definitely say it is more likely dark bluish-gray. This would also be my personal choice for such an application, as dk bluish-gray is more like steel than the old dark gray, which is slightly brownish (as Vorkosigan mentioned). The custom armor seems more metallic than LEGO grays.

You could try leaving a comment on the image and ask for help on Flickr and see if you get a response. I would try helping with techniques themselves, but I currently do not have a computer with functioning LDD.

Help, my plates are warping!
Slegengr replied to PaddyBricksplitter's topic in General LEGO Discussion
It may help to store plates together, but do not match them corner to corner. I store my extra plates in such a fashion at times, but I incorporate offsets for easy removal. For all 1x(>1) plates, I leave a one- or two-stud offset. For 2x(>2) plates, I only overlay by one stud along the longer side. For all larger plates, I only overlay by two studs along the longer side. This makes it easy to remove plates as needed without causing damage during the removal process. If the overlay is too great, the plates can be severely bent in the removal process if not carefully handled. Unbending can be tricky, but it may be done as simply as bending it slightly past straight in the opposite way to exceed the elastic deformation limit of the material and move into the plastic deformation range (the same thing that happened in the opposite direction to bend the plastic to begin with). Materials have an elastic deformation range, in which the material will return to its original shape after bending. If the bend is too great, the material moves into plastic deformation (permanent change in shape to the material). It may help to just compress plates together or place weight on the plate to hold it flat, but, unless the material is bent back past the elastic deformation range, this will not completely solve the issue. -

What a nice, large build, Gondorfan! I like the looks of the walls and gate. The buildings inside look nice as well. At such a large scale, there is still a nice level of details included. The only thing I could ask more is if it could be made bigger by 10 times to be truly minifigure scale !
-
Nice series, Hammerhand! I like the assortment of figures included. My favorites are Grizknash Orcenshield, Jarl Heiorun, and the Avalonian ranger!
-
Great build, Gideon! The underwater effect is done nicely! The little hole is great for the story. My favorite detail is the path of tracks in the snow. This build is one of the coolest ( ) builds I have seen you do outside of your Kaliphlin builds!
-
Nice little build, kabel! The beehives are well-done, as are the trees. The low stone wall is a nice addition to the build. The flowers and other foliage work well for this scene.
