  1. Interesting little build, mccoyed! I must agree that the waterfall could be better, but the rest of the build is great for the first phase of an AoM build! The border adds a nice touch, as does the foliage and wildflowers for adding color and texture variation. The bucket of milk is a nice addition.
  2. Welcome to Eurobricks, owlbearsforall! I will be looking for your contributions in the historic forum and maybe Mitgardia in the Guilds of Historica .
  3. Do you mean "Terror Bite"? The head piece used there is the T-Rex head from the Dino Attack / Dino 2010 Line. The red variant was in these two sets: 7298 Dino Air Tracker and 7477 T-1 Typhoon vs. T-Rex Oops, Penkid11 beat me in responding...
  4. I do not mean to sound ridiculous, but do you happen to have a 9V battery box? Being the original way LEGO powered the electrical functions, this would be the simplest, as the light and the motor could be attached directly to the connections on the battery box. Otherwise, I second what Zblj said. I believe that the light will flash or stay on depending on which side is attached to the different terminal of the battery. You should also check through the parts from the lot for other pieces with the metal underlay for electrical connections (including parts connected with wires). These types of parts are very useful for relaying power when you do not want to attach the components directly to the battery box.
  5. Welcome to Eurobricks, houndoggie! It is a bit dangerous letting nostalgia loose... you may find yourself with more LEGO than you know what to do with and much less money! I have, of course, personally bought sets I dreamed of having when I was younger. You may want to check out BrickLink as well when searching for older sets. I am looking forward to your community contributions. I also am waiting to see your future LEGO 80's space collection !
  6. Welcome to Eurobricks, Azmodia! I am looking forward to seeing your City and other community contributions.
  7. Amazing, Vitreolum! There are so many nice details, like the color choices, the wall and its interior, the tree, the raven on the stump, and the minifigure posing! I would love to see more pictures showing the details even closer.
  8. The bard and the goblin miner are great, de Gothia! From my own experience, that student might be representative of many university students...
  9. An 'A or B' block would certainly be simpler, but it can be done using simple commands by nesting the B sensor under the A sensor. Look at this diagram for code (if you have any questions, just ask): Key: A? : is sensor A pressed B? : is sensor B pressed Arrow+Y : Yes Arrow+N : No DownArrow+D : Lower Drawbridge UpArrow+D : Raise Drawbridge Loop encircling+infinity : Infinite Loop --- : Do Nothing (This was done quickly, so there may be errors, but I have checked the logic and it works in my head... I am not sure if NXT programming allows for a loop on only the "No" side of the sensor check...)
  10. Don't I wish I could!
  11. Nice build and story, Ecc.! The trees look fabulous, especially these new taller ones! I had ideas similar and stocked up on the foliage pieces, but I should just come to you for advice on this style to represent evergreens since yours are so perfect! Using the hollow stumps from the Western line is a great idea!
  12. Wonderful, Ecc.! The different colors and styles of the buildings and market stalls makes an excellent presentation! I still would love to be able to see this in person, but I can see where you are coming from in that the interior is not easily visible when it is all together. Keep doing these detail shots of the modules so we can see all the neat details!
  13. Nice build, Wedge! The different colors used in the wall give a realistic appearance. The split-level is a great concept and well-done! I like the little plant in the corner. The spies look great with hoods and cloaks drawn about them!
  14. I agree with what has been said, Hammerhand! The different wood styles, the rafters, and the moose head are all excellent! The story is interesting as well. The flags in the rafters make a nice incorporation of the guild colors.
  15. I personally think the head is the only somewhat-accurate part on the CMF Goblin to the Moria orcs where depicted in the films. In the film, the Moria orcs did not wear the CMF Goblin's type of clothing as such, but rather wore jagged armor comprised of many pieces and very tattered clothes underneath (as was well-represented in the minifigure in the official set). The CMF at it's base is fairly cartoonish for Moria orcs, unless all of the orcs are represented in this similar fashion and a diversion away from the exact film representation is made. Just my personal opinion... I still hope to get some CMF Goblins.
  16. More fantastic builds in Amortug, Ecc.! The style and color variations in the buildings, tower, and wall present wonderful visuals! This also shows how rocks can still look great without using SNOT techniques. Great use of the friends' four-way wrench for the window bars! So many great details to take in...
  17. Welcome to Eurobricks, brickadelics! I am looking forward to seeing what you build!
  18. Nicely done, Petric_G! The story is great and well-shown in the images. I really like how you showed the dwarves mining through the wall! The clay pit looks nice overall. The only suggestion I have would be to use more wedge plates and foliage to break up the straight border between the green on top and the brown clay. The path into the clay pit is great with the different steps and curves to allow the minifigs to move down The bushes work well for hiding the sentries as well. I am surprised the dwarves would trust the elves though, especially when they serve cow-head stew... !
  19. Welcome to Eurobricks, Alex! I am looking forward to seeing your creations!
  20. Welcome to Mitgardia, Angus Snow! The incorporation of the Mitgardian colors looks great in your clothing and armor! A bagpiper is indeed an excellent addition to the coolest guild! Stian Vitr plays bagpipes in the hills of Mitgardia and would welcome more pipers, as the Highland pipes sound best in multiples.
  21. Simply fantastic, Eccs.! I love the view from the back with the vegetation and stonework, the close butresses and arches on the wall, and the curved tower! The hall and its floor mosaic are great as well! I am eagerly looking forward to more detail shots of Amortug and continue to wish I could see it in person!
  22. Excellent build, ME! The buried door is superb, as is the landscape as a whole and the tree designs! I like the idea of the ravens being the spies as well!
  23. So nice to see so many great builds incorporated into Mitgardia, SK! I also will be inspecting these builds in more detail, as there is just so much to take in! I remember seeing the builds for the CCC, and I am glad to see that they can be used for a most excellent entry to the GoH challenge as well!
  24. Great idea, nice build, perfect story you have here, MKJ! I also like the ruts and the snow down in the pass. The spikes to mark the border look great to me, though I like the reference picture even better! I guessed that the dwarves would be hiding inside the logs as I read through the story, but I did not expect the two-dwarf man was part of the trickery! Excellent idea!
