  1. https://c4.staticflickr.com/8/7166/27137630851_dd44701c3b_z.jpg I have a thought on reducing friction in the trans. instead of routing the power thru the three bevel gears (see attached link) route the shifter mechanism thru the bevel gears and the drive axle will go straight thru. I don't have the set but looks like it will fit. Steve
  2. I have been watching for a while and bought one today.
  3. Do you think the wings on the U-wing will fold out making a giant T. Looks to be a pivot point near the engines. Steve
  4. I would like to have seen a new cylinder block (3 studs) to fit the scale and we need something new in this area. Would also like to have seen power functions to play with the transmission even if car needs to be on stands. No HOG steering!? Stickers!? Steve
  5. And most of the parts are chap plain bricks. I really don't understand the appeal of these sets. Make blocks out of bricks to make simple structures? Steve
  6. Will this set be discontinued soon? I have noticed price has dropped $10 (U.S.) on amazon. Steve
  7. Do you think the buckets will be able to pick up the simulated dirt parts or just push them around the floor? I am afraid that you will have to place them in the buckets to get it to work or buy a lot more. Steve
  8. My opinion is that there is no RC. I think they would tell us that at a toy fair. Most Lego R/c are really slow even though they are much smaller than this. My thought is that there is power function to power the fake motor and rear wheels so you can play with the paddle shifted tranmission. I hope there is a new Larger cylinder block for this scale. We need something new for engines. It will not have those stickers either. Steve
  9. I started building the b model a few days ago. I was kind of bored with the crane. So far it is a fun build. Steve
  10. Next year someone needs to set up a Lego March madness bracket. Steve
  11. Great job. I would buy that set. Steve
  12. Great work. Headlights are cool. Steve
  13. I was at a lego store this weekend and saw the unimog for $159.
  14. 41999 for my birthday. Thought I was done for the year then I open the 42009 at Christmas. Also got the back to the future set.
  15. I hope a new super car or off road truck. I can think of a lot of new suspension ideas with the new arms in the snowmobile set. Steve
  16. What 8448 did introduce was a lego based model that they encouraged the builder to make it their own. The new panels, flex tubing, and instruction ideas were designed for the builder to create their own body for the chassis. You could even place the motor in the front or back. Steve
  17. Steering setup on 8455 is an amazing solution to the limited space available. And don't forget how the pump is incorporated into the roof. Steve
  18. i wonder if the outriggers can be made automatic. When they reach the end the feet start to lower automatically and when you raise them they go up then the arms retract in. Steve
  19. Asked for it for Christmas. Told wife it was a limited run. If she gets it great if not oh well. Will find out in 5 months.
  20. Here is a simple mod I did a while back. Holds the hood open at a nicer angle. Uses only the spare parts in the set. Steve
