Stop ranting here, fellows! :-D The Lego guy said ToD will not be in this lineup. Lego had to keep several things in mind, like different prices for the sets and iconic moments and so on. It was just 4 sets so far, they want to see how it sells! The decision was based on marketing issues, not on "we have to cover all movies with the first lineup". Just remember the SW line. The Snowspeeder was the only ESB set for 3 years! Then a cloud car in 2002, and finally an AT-AT, but in 2003! I mean, SW was selling like hot chocolate cookies and they made these decisions! You can all be sure there will be ToD sets, but we have to be patient.. (thinking about the AT-At being such an iconic vehicle and remembering that I waited for it for 4 and a half years since the first SW sets.... urghhh... I am NOT patient... :-X ) About saying that it was too dark.. I think there were a lot of fun moments in ToD, and honestly.. fighting against Nazis is also not too light hearted, in it? I am more afraid that the direct association with military vehicles could be a problem, so they might not make the tank or the warplane from LC. (And I would really give a lot to get an Indy 3 dogfight set.... :-/ ) What do you guys think about that? ToD Lego ON!! :-)

After selling out the tictactoe so fast, Lego starts realizing that people are insane about minifigs....! Just too bad I am not into castle... any chance we can get this from the Indy line, Lego... 8-| ?

If the Indy line is somewhat sucessfull, you can be sure that we will get sets from ToD. They only have 4 sets out now, it is the very start! You can be soo sure they have prototypes for a bunch more vehicles/ playsets, they sat together and obviously chosed the most iconic moments (which included 2 playsets anyway!) in a different price range, that works together (!) - to see how it actually sells. I remember that the Snowspeeder was the only ESB set in the first years of SW, it took some time and then we got finally AT-AT, Cloud Car, Cloud City and makeovers of X-Wing, Falcon, Snowspeeder. They wouldn't have done these, if the line was no good. The decision not to put ToD into the first drop is imho quite good, but is based on marketing issues and not on playset issues (half of them are playsets! 2/4) or the avoidance of a darker tone (now we have Nazis, can some indian voodoo weirdos be any darker??). Perhaps we will not see the Ford plane (how big does it has to be to hold a 6 wide rubber boat??) or any ToD bedrooms where our minifigs are waiting for each other, but an elephant track or a small minecar playset, or the shanghai chase, why not? I am quite sure they will watch the sale numbers of Indy really carefully, cause they have to make decisions REALLY soon which sets to follow these ones. I am sure if this line sells well, we will get ToD sets sooner or later. I am just a bit nervous, that if the 4th Indy will be a flop, the Indy4-line will not sell and pull down the whole concept and they might be more careful. ooops... wrote too much... sorry... just my 2,... 3 or 4 cents anyway... :-D about the actual topic: Kiddies don't want only vehicles. I am quite sure the new police station will sell very well and (even if it is more expensive) better than the stupid plane!

btw, SSBB got a 10/10/10/10 in the famitsu (the most important video game magazine in Japan for those who didn't know..) and it will come out in march in Europe and the US? wow... same time like Mario Kart... You Wii owners will have a LOT of fun in those months.. too bad I don't have the spare coins to buy one.. :'-(

I am sorry, was out tonight and I am joining late.. so it was mentioned before but the only, the ONLY thing I can think about is this ... when I go to bed now, in my dreams, and highly possible to be the first thing I think about when I wake up... X-D and well, something like military... count me in at once..! :'-) But ... emm... this is a bit too colorful and <insert that tiresome argument>. I 'd prefer something like Advance Wars but that is another topic, in it? I am just glad I will save even more money and have more financial power for customizing minifigs, cause this line is so not my piece of cake! hehe... :-) Uahaha... financial power... same here, Yoda... I hate it to wait for these.. But Pete got his in TRU in Portsmouth, and also in England they shouldn't be available earlier than march.. So did you try out TRU or Walmarts in Paris? Could be they also have 'em. I hope a friend of my sister brings me at least the Crusade-set from San Francisco where she is.... And well... to say something about the future of Indy, also SW started really small with Y-Wing vs Tie being the biggest set, if I do remember it right. So I really hope for getting Raiders: Himalaya Pub, flying Wing, freighter, the submarine ToD: Shanghai Chase, Ford Airplane, Bridge Scene Crusade: Motorboat Chase, Airplanes, Tank, Temple playset but we will see.... :'-)

swooshing around - modding them - more swooshin' - more modding - bookshelf (where they collect dust until I pick them up to swoosh again!) I remember when I got the 4502 X-Wing asap in late 2003, and well.... Luke was flying around a lot and learned to know Yoda like dozens of times in the week after I got it.. :-D

I will never ever forget what impact the lego pirates had on me and guys in my age.. It was the ONE topic we spoke about in the junior high school, it was something completely new for us. Castle, space and city - that was lego so far. And now there was a complete new world to explore.. New figures, new parts, canons, animals... and on top of this world was... the BSB. *wub* *wub* I will never forget getting it, building it, playing days and weeks and months and years with it... All the minifigs on board had a specific sleeping area and I just played with the characters a lot! Also letting the soldiers from my wonderful Eldorado Fortress enter the ship at night... boy... This gets a 6 of 5 from me. One of the uber-perfect sets. Thanks a lot for the review... so good memories..!!! *sweet*

thanks for the review... I will buy some of these for the figs, some parts are useful as well. but... it would have been so much better to have a "real" OT set. :-/ the should have made a rebel ground transport from the Yavin Base, like Bruce did a while ago: Bruce's Rebel Transports Then, next year they could make the car from the Echo Base coming with a mechanic, a pilot and 2 scout troopers... that WOULD have been nice... :-| Or .. they could have included Captain Antilles... but whatever... ;-) We FINALLY have Rebel Troopers!!!! *wub*

I got it when it came out and I STILL play it at least once a week.... it is my relaxing game.. just flying or driving around.. escaping from the police.... better than anything else *wub* (also playing Jeanne D'Arc in the moment) CJ on!

I wanted to watch something simple and tried Triple X on telly... after 15 minutes I had my laptop on my knees, after half an hour telly was off! >:-) But last saturday I watched Bound by the Warczawski brothers (5th time perhaps) and I like it a lot! It is not too surprising but almost like a good theatre piece... very limited and that's why it is nice! *y* girlpower ON! :-)

I hope this has not been discussed yet in another topic...? Ok... I am by myself an only-OT-systems-collector (in terms of SW Lego..) and I think there are a couple of guys and girls like me on EB.. I wonder now what you people do with your time and money in 2008, considering that there are only 2 little sets for us and nothing from OT announced yet for the 2nd half? Do you buy older sets that you missed out, get shopping cars full of battle packs (which are EU, but count as OT army building for me ;-) ) or save your money for other things (lego or the little life besides lego)? Do you start getting PT or EU or waste your money for the golden 3PO? I for myself consider to get a few sets and minifigs that didn't make it into my collection so far .. BUT in any case the UCS MF is a bit too big for me, my flat, my credit card and my collection. I got a lot of lego from my parents and grandparents as a child.. the greatest moments I remember was my birthday with the first airpost, or the cargo center, the M-Tron stuff, the metroliner.. ahh.... great times.. my girlfriends gave me lego from time to time.. (some made their best presents with this :-D ) - the first at-st which got me out of my dark ages - the 4504 Falcon!!! - the orient expedition chinese castle... (thanks, honey!) (all from different girlfriends) my friends gave me smaller sets sometimes.. star wars, creator... and from my parents I got a lego salt and pepper thing for the kitchen! a few weeks ago some friends were here who were amazed by the uplink robot... they were really playing with it and pointing out how cool it is.. :) and I was the one who had to say... come on guys... it is a toy! hehe... so... everyone knows about it and I like to get things a lot!!! :-)

I was complaining that Lego put only one inside and now none?? and also, the alfred molina minifig.. well, I liked the "darker skin version" from the video game trailer A LOT more... but don't get me wrong, great review, thanks a lot for your work! and overall it is a not so bad set!! have to own the airplane anyway.... *wub* :-)
