I am still dreaming of a 100€ Lambda Class Shuttle - and at this point (I believe OT sets will stop really soon, if not this year.. ) I don't care if we get the Empire or the Rebels with it...

1. Funny that there are once again small and medium sets of the original movies coming out this year (after the 500€ set years), but we don't get the main character: Luke Skywalker! 2. The new OT 10th anniversary boxes look too sweet, but give me the feeling of a "best of tour" to end a once good career of an old rock band that got spiritless.. It seems like an end to me. 3. Does anyone remember the wishlist on fbtb, started early this century? TLC gives us exactly what people wanted: new Ewoks, Endor, General Ackbar, Mon Mothma (sp?), Tauntauns.. 4. The OT minifigs are the only ones left without detailed faces (no pupils) - they are anywhere else: Batman, Indy, Clone Wars, City, Castle, Space, Pirates. I see that TLC tries at least to give the line some consistent look, but the change from yellow to flesh really destroyed that already. It is time for a new Han, Leia and Luke. Even Stormies get upgrades! zzz out

The old pirate boxes are the best boxes ever in my opinion, what I really love are the small, drawn, map-like images of the set itself. Absolutely sweet! Todays boxes lack so much of this sweetness. While more mature, the Indy boxes are not too bad, the black Star Wars boxes were nice, but City, Castle and Pirates are too boring these days... thanks a lot for the pics!

...opening with one of the first pictures we got one and a half years ago of our favorite Archeologist. Since then it became one of our most favorite licenced themes and perhaps one of our favorite themes overall. We praised the minifigs, the vehicles and parts, we even got a video game - and there are still things to come, as the toy fair pictures showed us the lovely sets of mid 2009 already.. 2 wonderful years, but how does it continue? You all have to agree, that most of the possible sets have been made from TLC, there are not too many possibilities left. And the hype made by the new movie is over, since the DVD is already out. The annual report stated that Indy was a strong line, but how could it continue? Like Star Wars? Releasing old sets with little changes, introducing UCS models and Mini sets, doing remakes of the little older ones? What do you girls and guys here think? Post your opinions about the future of Indy, but not your wishes like "I want a Sallah minifig" what you can do here , and not just comments on the 2009 line what you could do here. In my opinion the line will end next year, since there are no new movies (unlike Harry Potter once), nor is it on TV (like Spongebob, Clone Wars), nor will TLC go for remakes, minis or UCS, nor are there too many sets that could be made. Here is a small list of the opportunities of the first 3 movies, collected in the "ideas for future Indy sets topics" with already released sets. Raiders: Panama temple, Flying boat, Himalaya, Kairo, Map Room, Ark Room, Flying Wing, Truck Chase, Freighter and Submarine, Opening of the Ark Temple: Club Obi Wan, Shanghai Chase, Ford plane, Indian village, Elephant track, Temple of Doom, bridge scene Crusade: Circus Train, Venice library and tomb, boat chase, Castle Brunwald, Motorcycle chase, Zeppelin, Air chase, tank chase, temple of the grail Please share your opinion!

Thanks a lot for the review and the super sharp pictures - what I say now is not against your review, don't get me wrong please! I know that sets cannot have an endless amount of pieces, there is marketing saying it has to end up in a certain price to be part of a collection, to get the exact customers buying it blablabla. (I studied marketing so I have a vague clue what is going on in marketing departments...) It would have helped so much to just forget about the fuel truck and just admit that fighting under, on and in a plane is fun enough. There is also a lot more in the scene: a troop transport truck, a watchtower etc etc - what is missing in this set. They could have used the 130+ parts of the fuel transport to give the Flying Wing brick built wings in a right angle and make it look a but more builky. The wing piece is too slim, too horizontal and too wide/ big. (and I really think it is freaking expensive to produce!) So in the end this is the only Indy set I didnt get so far and I am still thinking about getting it. It seems to be a hopeless case to make it look like something from the movie. Sorry, but that is really my opinion. And I am already sure to get the 2 planes from Crusade, cause the fighter looks mod-able to me! Zzz out! PS the underside of the Wing in the movie... is it white, light tan or light grey?

Jedi news brought us the first info about the SW and Indy sets of 2009, and as far as I know all of it was true so far. They spoke about 8 Indy sets, 2 in january, 6 later this year. I count 7 so far, so there should be an exclusive s&h release in autumn, as far as we know TLC. Only exceptions are that jedi News was wrong about the number (what I doubt since it was alright so far) or that TLC cut it down to fewer sets in a later decision (what I doubt, since they stated in their annual report that Indy sold very well). So what do you think? ( I am carefully optimistic.. ) Zzz out.

I am a bit shocked to hear that since it is the 2nd time (after the AT-TE) in the CW series and I really hoped they dropped this concept for better looking models... also it would be not that well integrated in the design but below the ship (like in the N-1 2nd version) - what looks strange. But it is LEgo and I can just let it away. It is a bit pricy but overall I guess I am going to get it!

Can a visitor from the toy fair tell me please if the Y-Wing has landing gear? And thank you guys so far for all the info!! Oh and I keep my fingers crossed for getting Palpy in a magnet set or so please lego...

I hope there will be another CW set coming out this year! Perhaps another one with the mid year releases, that would be too great!

I heard that it is less a philosophy than more according to a new law. I can be wrong, it really doesn't make sense to me. But there are some strict laws in the US and also the EU started some very weird ones meant to protect customers, children and the 2x4 brick from next door. Anyway, I came home, saw these, ordered 2! LOVE minifigs...

As much as I know a lot about Indy and SW as well as the Lego series, I really have no clue at all what you mean... Indy was never lying around in snow, Han was.....??

Who is Ian Bluemoose anyway? I tried to find him on EB but without success. I would like to know if this information is reliable. I find it rather strange, of this is really true. As a european I am alright with not getting Arkham Asylum, some Agents sets, changed Dino sets and so on. But a whole new product line that looks way better than Mars Mission is just not there?? I was really excited about this. I knew I gonna get the Hoth thingy and most of the Indy sets for my collection, but Space Police was just awesome and I was truly freaking out on these! The minifigs, the ships, all of it! Anyway, I know there is ebay and bricklink, but the postage makes it much more expensive and it is just not the same felling as buying it in a shop and one set after another, what I prefer.. edited grammar

They made the decision to drop the line right when they were about to release the last line. So the sets are "limited edition" without the usual label for that. I indeed think that there are much less than for example the Hoth Base or last X-Wing, even if they were officially limited. In my opinion the most stupid decision to have a video game out with all the lovely characters and vehicles, that you cannot get anywhere! The other day I just overheard a conversation in my local Lego store, when a kid asks the father where the batman sets are. I don't think this was a unique moment. I agree, try to get some older sets, perhaps you are more lucky, and they are way better I think. (the ebay prices are amazing even for these sometimes, I saw a Batcave before xmas go away for almost 200 US$!) zzz out

It is not the Batman tommygun - it is not even Lego. Just some plastic machine gun it seems.. On the top it is definetely Marion with a frying pan in her left hand, and for strange reason the guy left from her is Indy as we know him, even if they used another torso for him on the front picture. Right from her is the black dressed swordsman that Indy shoots cause of his diarrhoea.. Also I agree with others here, the german plane doesnt look good yet, the wings should not be any higher than the bottom of the plane! I am so much looking forward for a headscarf piece, they cannot use the turban piece, guess that is why the guys are bald headed here! Great piece coming, I sense it!!! Zzz out

Sorry to say that but I am quite sure there is none. I remember the time very well and the first "image" of the falcon we saw was just a shadow saying "coming in september" or something like that. Except that shadow of the 7190 there never was any image til it was actually in the later catalog. I can be wrong but I am pretty sure cause I was really into it from the very beginning. cheers

I agree and have to add that TLC is doing all the things AFOLs were asking for: City, Castle, SW and Indy are cool as never anything before, they gave us Pirates back and still have time to build up a pick-a-brick online store (which is nothing you can get rich with, selling normal 6 cent pieces!) I already wonder (and I am happy!) that they listen so much to AFOLs, who are only 10% of the customers in the end. Everyone wanted the Space Police or Blacktron to come back, now we get! We get a new police and (seems so) individual gangsters! Looks good so far! And it is not meant to be to revive some old guys childhood memories, therefor we can play with our old sets, right? And if we don't like the new stories and such, if we don't need a fight and want them to go exploring, I guess WE have the force to make them do so. If not, then we lost our ability to play - and not TLC or anyone else is to blame for losing your imagination. Also I have to say that some people like to play with the bad guys much more and feel attracted with the antagonists. Star Wars should be the best example. The only real thing that goes a bit on my nerves is that TLC has to put 2 factions in one set, what makes them bigger and more expensive. And make you buy a part you are not that interested in perhaps. zzz out

I really hope that the Hoth figures will be a bit renewed, the helmet on the rebels is so not accurate, 10 years old - and I have enough of them already. The same with the Snowtroopers! And leave away the standard smile face on the troops finally, TLC! You do that in any other theme, in any other licence - and this is star WARS! Endor has to give us a few new figs, like Leia and the Rebels, and I as far as I understood Force master the Ewoks will be new as well..! Good to hear that! Another AT-ST is always welcome, I really liked the last one a lot but it didn't move.. Zzz out!
