If they start with the pre-production today, it will not be in cinemas any sooner than mid 2012. More likely later. It'd be a huge movie that needs a lot of time.

Ja, well - TLC never cared at all about the movies anniversaries at all. No need to start now. What is worth than no Garindan is no Jawa for me. I thought there might be a chance, they are just cute and too expensive to BL them.. I asked this before but sadly got no answer (sometimes I think that people here don't read long posts, what is rather strange for me cause I don't like to read 3 word posts but whatever) - where exactly does the rumor about the AT-AT come from? Can someone please help me.. thanks a lot in advance!

Don't forget to kill Philip! Very nice, wonderful hair!

Thanks, K-D, for putting up the petition and working so hard to get WW back! I only have Sheriffs Lockup from the theme but had great fun with it. I though about getting Legorado Fort a couple of times, and even a highly expensive misb Gold City Junction, but never got them. Though I had some problems with the 96/97 theme and I hope - if we ever get new one - these will be solved. Minifigs: - more diversity - more serious, not that hilarious, not such ugly faces for the baddies - detailed torsos with shirts, jackets in black, brown, tan, dark blue - no hilarious red, green colours - ponchos - use of the fedora hat - more civilians - girls, girls, girls vehicles: - stagecoach - carriages buildings: - saloon with a few bedrooms on 1st floor (could be the Endor Bunker of WW) All in all way more detail than 96/97 - and way better than 2009 pirates please. Give us lovely figs, detailed buildings and vehicles and I am in, TLC!

Signed.

I guess I lost it somewhere, so can someone please tell me where the AT-AT rumour came from? And the Cloud City set rumour was based only on someone saying accidently that the new set is "clouded in mystery". But didn't that one turned out to be the Tantive 4 from this year? The statement was not about 2010, cause at the time of that statement there were no info about 2010 whatsoever. All of the 2010 sets were "clouded in mystery" at that point. I am sorry I missed these things, but it would be nice if someone tells me where exactly these things were mentioned, so we can all base our imagination and fantasy on these statements and not become crazy or take it already as sound, when actually someone made this up.. Also, did TLC say they're going to make sets for anniversaries, like the 30th ESB anniversary next year? Everyone is saying that , but so far I cannot remember any specific anniversary set. The 30th of ANH was celebrated with the Y-Wing and the UCS MF, but there were also sets from all the other episodes, except for 2. And that is no real anniversary I think... Thanks for putting me in this, guys! :)

I am sorry to say this but I am a bit unsatisfied that they often use the same photo as from the box/manual. Actually, I already don't like it that much that todays Lego boxes have the same image all over and on the manual. (And the angle and light is sometimes not that good) I prefer the old times when TLC provided us with different set pictures and I found it a bit lame that the book uses so many common images. They should have made new photos. This is for the fans, isn't it?

What should there be in the next Agents theme?
Zzz replied to Batbrick's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
A huge minifig statue in dk and lt grey, perhaps a bit green to make a weathered effect - on the inside a base for the agents with commando room in the head and hangar in the belly, stairway and entrance in the one leg. Fold-out missilies in the arms, radar dish in the head, fold-out landing platform for the belly. Has little car for the other leg to drive out, small plane and 2 random agents and a new boss for them in a suit. -
If you could revive one production year's sets...
Zzz replied to Mos_Eisley's topic in LEGO Star Wars
I would like to revive 2006 - I had all of the early sets but sold most of them when the redesigns came out. And I got a bit careless in those years. Later I noticed I am keen on the models more than on the minifigs, it is just more fun. And I would love to have the Slave I in my collection, but if the rumors are true, I might get happy next summer! (And redesigns are usually better than the older ones. Except AT-AT perhaps..) Oh and perhaps to get a Star Destroyer, then bricks for 100 Euros and modify it... Best boxes are the 1999 ones. Different angles, small, alternative models. Just sweet. The 10th anniversary use that strange red/orange as a background on the back, terrible... And I don't like that there is the one main picture on every side of the box. -
TLC should release some X-Wing for minifigs like this. (Bet they do sooner or later but I cannot await it...)

Anyway, we need new and more and better torsos for the minifigs. Advent calendar this year has also some boring minifigs. It cannot be that City is getting such boring minifigs. The prelim pics for the fire copter showed a fireman with a helmet on. As if this is how these pilots would look like... We should at least get a new suit for the mechanics in the cherry picker truck. And some new civilian torsos. Female ones. Please! On the new sets: Fire Boat is boring (but I never was a fan of these - I prefered 4011 always) / Fire station is ok but not as good as last one / Farm set seems nice, sweet green tractor / Airport is not my cup o coffee, sorry (<insert that tiresome argument>, uninspired) / Tank Truck is boring, sorry / Fire helicopter looks a bit weird and clunky, the coast guard one looked better / Water Plane looks sweet but comes with land-based environment?? / . .. we will see....

I am moving and I might add a few later, but so far I am selling STAR WARS - 10178 AT-AT BATMAN - 7781 Batmobile vs Two-Face BATMAN - 7783 Batcave - Invasion of Penguin and Mr Freeze I would like it if someone from EB would buy them, cause it is hard to say goodbye, especially to the Batcave. Anyway, I am doing it on ebay, cause I want to be trusted. Please note that the Batman boxes have price stickers and the Batcave one has some shelf wear. And according to ebay regulations I am not shipping to UK, Australia and the US, cause I don't accept paypal... Also there is still a lot of Little Armory Star Wars weapons up on ebay: SW weapons I don't need them anymore, cause I am actually not in customs and the new blasters from TLC are way better than megaphones back in the days. Those were ridicolous. Thanks for watching and I hope someone of you boys or girls might be happy and win one!

The minifigs are nice, but it seems the sweeter ones (shark, manta) only come in the bigger sets. No good. For my taste it looks like the vehicles are a bit too much action oritented, not minding the underwater element too much. Aqua Raiders also had a few weird things, but the submarine and the base were at least a bit realistic when it came to the underwater element. Atlantis could be in space as well it seems so far. It is very weird, but I guess it is supposed to be, ain't it? Looking forward for the final or official pics. The bigger red sub looks like a version of the Slave 1 - a bit. EDIT: Why is it's name Neptuns Sub? Aren't the humans in the red vehicles?

Thanks a lot for the review! Love it. And I like the set also. It is one of these sets that you like a lot, watch it coming and leaving the shelfs, and then you are sad cause you didn't get it. And you got it for a fair price! Which Toys are us have you been to? (I might consider getting it now, for that price..)

A hard choice. Perhaps tomorrow I would say the 4483 AT-AT or the 4502 X-Wing, but today I say the 7658 Y-Wing. It actually has everything one wouldn't chose it for the the best set in 10 years: not lots of minifigs, no rare ones or rare parts, it is not expensive or huge, and it is still available for even little money. But I like it. The shape is so cool, it is full of details and the engines were the most clever and fun build I had in a long time. It just opens your eyes. And with some mods (I always do that) you can have it a nice cockpit, top laser and landing gear. Actually, I own three. I only have more Stormtrooper BPs I guess.

I noticed Luke a couple of months ago in the german catalogue. What I found very interesting (except the fact it is obviously preliminary) is that this fig is accurate but never existed. There is no fleshy post-Tatooine Episode VI Luke. (This sounds is a bit nerdy.. )

Thanks for reviving this thread, guys! I almost forgot about it and had a lot to do in the past months. Also the heavy rumor that Indyis not going to be prolonged in 2010 kind of shocked me a bit, I was not in the mood so far to comment about that. In my initital post here I made a small list of possible sets to prove that there is some potential, but actually not too many. Most of my concerns, though, were based on Indy not being made into too many toys in the past 25 years. I don't want to start the so old SW-Indy comparision when it comes to marketing (cause you cannot compare SW to anything else) and I don't want to speak about the potential, but I guess there have been more toys for - lets say - James Bond than for Indy. That concerned me in my first post (and I got some heavy critic on my pessimistic opinion), but I didn't imagine it to end so soon. My thoughts were actually optimism if Indy really ends in 2010, if Jedi News is right and if we got the interview right. What really bugs me much more than not getting the actual Indy sets, is in fact not getting the parts and minifigs. Being someone who prefers realistic and detailed Lego things, who likes movies and even as a child tried to put these into Lego, I noticed how well the "realistic" colours and bricks, the unique detailed minifigs help me to moc around with them. (I am not the one being attracted by blue, orange or red City vehicles or the strange Castle buildings) I am going to miss future Indy sets for the support of useful colours and detailed, fleshy minifigs. Spiderman, Batman and Harry the Potter had some, not too many, but some. Indy was a dream come true for me. 30s style female dress, lots of guys' suits, chinese shirt, soldier uniforms, leather jackets ... and Willie in her indian dress... how could we ever find something like this again too soon? It will be sad to live with some left out opportunities and to work with what we got so far, but it will be a pleasant "work" nonetheless. Wonderful theme for MOCing!

What should there be in the next Agents theme?
Zzz replied to Batbrick's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
sorry, that's what I meant with "goofy navy plane": in a smaller scale, 1 pilot, 1 in the back - and of course in the "agent style" TLC proves so often that they can make cool, realistic planes (Peril in Peru), it is a shame they don't do it more often.. -
What should there be in the next Agents theme?
Zzz replied to Batbrick's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
I am not too much for a third faction, cause I like the simplicity of good vs evil, based on James Bond or Team America. I am afraid - and realistic - that TLC is going to stop the agents, but anyway: I like a few sets (mainly Gold Hunt, River Raid and Robo Attack) and would love to see - and undercover vehicle (very good idea, who ever came up with it first!) in black or white - a plane for the agents, not as big as the helicopter, fitting 2 in the cockpit, looking like a goofy navy plane or so (in blue) - new figures: a boss for the agents in a suit, a good scientist - a small base for the agents, perhaps a mountain on an island that can open or so ANYWAY, I doubt we will see a 2010 agents. I heard they don't sell too well. But I would kill for that plane anyway. -
Nevertheless, Lego hasn’t entirely shed its Scandinavian sense of social mission when it comes to making toys. It kept quality high and never moved any manufacturing to China, avoiding the lead paint scare and grabbing market share when rivals stumbled amid multiple recalls. Didn't they?? Didn't I read it on some of my boxes? (about 2009 sales numbers) The answer is as multifaceted as one of Lego’s most complicated brick creations — and, like the best children’s stories, contains elements of luck, hard work and the loss of innocence. Wasn't the reason more customers heading for higher priced items in a recession? Also I didn't like the hail and praise of Jorgen Vig Knudstorp. Sure, he helped to save the company. But was it alone the Change Management he studied at McKinseys? Production, cost, prices, pressure on employees? I don't think that. (and I find it disturbing that business media is always so crazy about Change.)

Sorry to get back on you here, but the magnet figs are also "a mix of parts from Denmark and crappy parts from china". I heard some rumours but no facts and reliable people like you disclaiming them. I have the CW by myself and found it rather perfect, even with Mace having a slightly different print. Are there anywhere photos to show the difference? I really wanted to get some for especially pilots. Thanks a lot in advance and sorry for being off topic and late.

Last underwater theme that I liked was actually the 1997 divers. Guess I am just a boring person but Atlantis doesn't seem to change my opinion...

I very much like it! Especially the feel of 80s and 90s, even with lots of 2000' sets. A few questions: - do you plan to expand into the country side? - how do you feel about the creator houses? (4996 Beach house eg.) - do you also want to buy and add older sets to your city? And one thing: You made a good work with your park! You should add more details that you created by yourself also in other place, like for the construction people or so. YOu make a good job in MOCing so far and it will make the city more unique and alive!

1991 is way superior. 6542 is superior to the new harbour: brick-built ship, pilot boat, stacker, better truck, crane is like 10 times better. So if you want to compare what TLC did, 1991 is a winner. If you just compare sets, the new harbour should be compared to 6541 cause of obvious reasons. Would still vote for 1991 though. Brick-built ships are a huge winner.

Lego Marked improvement in half year result
Zzz replied to legomilk's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Regardless of shares being available in the stock exchange, Lego is a stock corporation. So they have to.
