  1. Here is my second try for making an alternate twin-boom aircraft from the set 60064 Arctic Supply Plane. Now I wanted to make a more difficult model, and found a WWII maritime patrol aircraft with three motors (and two different kind of propellers). The "Seadragon" (nicknamed as "Flying Clog") has an interesting fuselage, so it was a kind of challenge to make something similar. (actually the pilot is just a half minifig, but the rear gunner girl is full) Blohm&Voss BV 138 (60064 alternate) by Plastic.Ati, on Flickr Blohm&Voss BV 138 (60064 alternate) by Plastic.Ati, on Flickr HERE you can find a drawing about the original model. 2. Hi Everyone! This is the beginning of a new year so I finally gained some time to make my first posts. As I like making alternate builds for nearly every set I open, the "hard-to-find" piece of the Arctic series from year 2014 was no exception. I liked the big twin-boom airplane a lot so I wanted to make some more of this kind. I wanted to build an easy one first, so I have chosen the Fokker F.25 Promotor, because of its pusher configuration. It's minifig compatible, quite swooshable, but the propeller needs some attention as the one-stud connection is less stable. Fokker F.25 Promotor (60064 alternate) by Plastic.Ati, on Flickr I've tried to make a wheeled version too, but without a useable wheel it wasn't too easy... 3. It's always nice to check your beautiful models during the year but this collection from 2014 impressed me a lot. Keep building in 2015!
  4. Merry Christmas to everyone! Have a lot of gifts (I mean Lego), and build nice things during the Holiday!
  5. Hahaha, you made my day, that's a crazy and effective idea. :)
  6. Oh, how wonderful is this creation! It's a feast for my eyes!
  7. Basically the graders are strange looking for me, but this one is yummy. I like the details and the good amount of working functions.
  8. Ooooohhhh! That's amazing, and I'm there, with a seagull on my head, soooo coool. This MOC came just in time as I watched "Capricorn 1" a week ago. That's a good theme, and built nicely. Congratulations!
  9. Brutal! I like the build very much. Madoca is as good as ever...
  10. Nope. I told them the same, and never won. Maybe this is why nobody wins :)
  11. Ye Olde Good Times - No 3D, no calculating FPS, just playing well. Just as with Lego, and you did it well: I agree with Mechalex, that's a nice recreation.
  12. Whoa, that lava effect is awesome. And it's huge. And brilliant. I will have to check the pics again and again several times. Making such a nice model about such an "ugly" place... I cannot find the correct word to describe it. Now you are THE Lava Master (aren't you?)
  13. The one-year story of the tower made me laugh. Poor guard drawing the short straw everytime :) I guess the other cheats him with those straws... Anyway, the tower is nice, as well as representing the different seasons.
  14. There were a lot more things to build from the series, and I miss the whole theme. And yes, the Diagon Alley and Hogwarts (as well as Hogwarts Express) were beautiful ones. I'm happy to have these all.
  15. Totally agree if we talk about businness aspect (of course we talk about it as TLG wants money from it), but it's not so problematic in the AFOL-world. Who cares that they aren't typical. If the representation is good, I buy it, if it's bad, I leave it. Unfortunately the faces are simple Friends ones, nothing typical for the princesses, which is bad, and it degrades the whole thing (together with the not-so-beautiful buildings, ehhh) A lot of people would run away from the Earth... aaarrrggghhh... It will be too sad for me if we won't get all the nice dwarves , and their house, or - at least - the mine with some beautiful crystals, and ores
  16. Photo has taken on the Green Planet.... It's sooo crazy! :)
  17. Now I think I will change my mind next year. Normally I'm not too interested in buying City sets, but the bikers, the Swamp Police and even the Demolition theme seems to be nice for me.
  18. There will be too much superior parts in these sets. I will surely buy some (if not the whole line...)
  19. I like the idea, and the details even better! The sepia-tone pic at the end made it real Victorian. Not perfect (using a given amount/coice of colors and shapes doesn't make the building easier), but for a MOD/alternate build it's very new for me.
  20. I mostly build the original/stock models first, then I nearly always make 2-10 alternates for the same set, but I've made a MOD only 2-3x during the years, so the conclusion is that I'm mostly in MOC. My numbers are something like this: Stock: 10-20% MOD: near 0% MOC: 80-90%
  21. Huh, these are excellent ones! That kiosks gave me some ideas. Thanks for sharing!
  22. Wow, Instant Love! I like the way you expand it and those nice details .... :) I agree with "laka" that the buildings are just "simple" objects in the diorama, albeit very beautiful ones, of course.
  23. I might say that this Trick Biker Track was my favourite during the challenge. Congratulations for the clever and nicely represented idea!
  24. I always loved to make alternates for every sets I open, but rarely tried combo builds. This fusion built public lamp repair truck is much better than the original, however there should be some nice leftover pieces to use for something cool, so continue this way. I am curious what will be your next idea for a fusion build
  25. Good to hear that it will be available in Europe. It is a must for me too.
