I doubt my bags are completely airtight. Put me in the group that has had no trouble (that I am aware of) with freezer bags. My storage system of freezer bags and Glad food storage containers (not sealed) in Sterilite 15 qt. Bins seems to be working just fine, of course YMMV. Good luck with your storage solution. Andy D

I think you just need better lighting. The photos would be OK if they were better lit. Andy D

I use a GoPro and mostly a Panasonic ZS40. I like the Panasonic for the features and price. The Panasonic can be had for less than $300. The GoPro session is really a great idea! It has 1080p and is small enough to be attached to many LEGO models. As others have said the GoPro session can be had for $150 (sometimes less). One more nice feature for the GoPro is that you can use your IOS or Android smart phone as a view finder and to control all of the camera's functions. Good luck with your search. Andy D

It depends on the model. A super car or something looks good with panels, usually not too many interesting functions in there, maybe a gearbox or some suspension or steering, but that's most of it. For models that are highly mechanical, like the BWE or 42042 or GBCs I like seeing as much as I can of the functions. So, in my mind there is a place for both, it all depends on the model. Andy D

Technic Pub
Andy D replied to jantjeuh's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Q1 ... Not much, I have lots of other things to do. Q2 ... Definitely not... Snow and me do not get along well, because it is cold, and I don't do cold well. Q3 ... I hope so Q4 ... I rebuild and Improve my Winter Village and each year on Christmas day me, my son, and his wife build LEGO sets that I bought just for the occasion. Q4 ... I don't think I have a favorite color of Technic. Andy D -
I have been using both Glad and Ziplock Freezer bags and I have not had any problems like @NathanR described. Andy D

I really like all the small creations, the day 8 Toy Soldier, the day 10 tractor and the day 15 rocking horse are som of my fav's! when I get time I must reverse engineer some of these for use in my next years Winter Village. So if I use them and forget to credit you next year, I here-by give you credit now. Please forgive me if I forget next year. Thanks so much, Andy D

This is just amazing! What a labor of love, sounds like 2 to 3 (or more) years in the making. It is difficult for me to get a sense of scale from looking at photos and trying to consider how big it is from the dimensions you listed. Do you have a Technic model you could photograph it next to to give a sense of scale? Wow, I wonder what your next creation could be... Andy D

This is an excellent idea! IMHO it can make a better looking, more versitle skirt. I need to remember this and start using it some of the time. Thanks! Andy D- 42 replies

Now this looks more like a 50's diner. Back then they were single story structures. i may have to build something like this... Thanks for the inspiration! Andy D

Very, very impressive. This must have taken many, many hours to build. The colors are spot on, very Christmasy. I think one of my favorite parts is the Christmas tree! Very clever the way it goes through the floor. I have a couple of questions... Do you have a view from the side of the tree? Where are the red poinsettia flowers from? Thanks for sharing this, Andy D
