75827 Ghostbusters Firehouse Headquarters Discussion
Jern92 replied to kelceycoe's topic in LEGO Licensed
Haha, glad I wasn't the only person to notice that! -
While I'm really really immensely tempted by this set, I'm also aware of the fact that it has no proper back, so one would need two sets to make a complete pagoda, and there's no way I can afford that. When I got Battle for Ninjago City I got 2 of them on sale and modded an extra large temple with spare bricks and plates. Had this set been a complete building instead of slightly more than half of one, I would've jumped at the opportunity. the pagoda isn't the easiest thing to Bricklink, what with all those special window pieces.

Its base is 32x48 instead of the normal 32x32 of modulars. But you can probably place them side by side and it'll just look like a larger building. -

I'm just looking forward to getting Shark Guy -
Kinda glad I missed it in stores now. Plus money's short anyway, what with the Brick Bank and Ghostbusters Headquarters coming up, so I'll just save up. Oh wait, I still need to buy the Ferris Wheel. And the Ecto-1. Noooooooooo

I just want a bookstore. Or maybe a Lego store. That would be completely awesome! -
I've seen the musical twice now, and absolutely loved it both times. If they ever make their way to my part of the world again there might be a third...

It's accessible through the pathways in Market Street, Green Grocer, and the Detective's Office, isn't it? Could just be a backyard for all the Lego kids to play in. Awesome! So happy the price never went up anymore. I'm definitely getting this January 1st to get the free polybag, and probably with Wall-E thrown in to get free shipping.

IMHO Wicked the Musical is much better than The Wizard of Oz the Movie. Wicked the Book, however, is not better than the classic Wizard of Oz Book. I've read through the entire quadrilogy and while Gregory Maguire is brilliant at rewriting these characters, the books were a little impenetrable and the musical rescued them from oblivion, because a lot of people wouldn't have bothered to try and read them otherwise.

Don't forget Boq, Nessa, Dr Dillamond, Madam Morrible. But I guess this is really based on the movie and not Wicked....

A set consisting of all the Lego sets ever built on the show?

You do realise that the laundromat bit would have to increase in height too, if one were to simply stack multiple first storeys? :-P Now that would be one freakishly tall laundromat Grrrr this means I'll have to buy it in January instead of March as originally planned. Looks like the Ferris Wheel will have to be postponed again
-
I wonder what the accompanying polybag would be. Guess I'll have to purchase it from Shop@Home to get it

I can't tell if the pillars on the first floor are white or tan. Some pictures seem to show it in tan

Modular Building Sets - Rumours and Discussion

My sentiments exactly. The completionist in me wants it, but the rest of me don't, just like how I felt with the Pet Shop. I'll probably get it anyway, but I'll keep my fingers crossed that Big Ben is done better. -
Modular Building Sets - Rumours and Discussion

Initial thoughts: - That's a small bank. How is there space for a vault and counters etc? - Those windows are hideous. Why are they green? Doesn't quite match the rest of the building's colours - The string looks like a setup for a robbery. Perhaps the laundromat will be where money's hidden, or the robbers' escape route - Looks like I'll have trouble getting my hands into the model again - Cute minifigs. And love that massive cheque! - I suspect there will be a story in there somewhere.... Will reserve proper judgment till more pictures are released. But at the moment it just feels slightly underwhelming. And small. Where is the majesty/austerity of a proper bank? -
The Lego store in Malaysia does that. I've already reserved a Wall-E, but no idea when it'll arrive.
-
Where did you even find those early episodes?
-
I still can't seem to find him, although I have found the Mega Bloks minion who is going to be his friend when he arrives

I've been very tempted by the Temple of Heaven, but it still costs an amount that causes me to hesitate before forking it out. -
