Thanks and Merry Christmas to you :) PS: I can't decide whether that Yoda-angel-elf thing is cool or weird :D

Ingenious idea :D

Very cool. As I wasn't big fan of this model in the original version, with sour modifications it looks way more attractive. The only remaining issues are mostly misproportions in the structure which you hardly can do anything about. The interior looks great except of these axles sticking out quite nasty :D I suggest you to hide these in some modified plates with pin holes on bottom. I'm curious, what is the piece on the middle of the dashboard? And is is officially printed or some custom work?

Maybe, I wasn't sure whether to place my question there. Perhaps there is even some discussion about printing in other forum category and I just failed to find it. The problem with general questions (in general) is that it involves quite lively discussion, some people use it almost as a chat, so specific question like this one of mine, which not everyone can help with usually sinks in the flow of new replies and never get's the attention of members who might be helpful eventually. Let's leave this to Lobot's consideration :)

Hello, For my recently completed MOCs of Invisible Hand and Venator, I need two emblem stickers for each one. For Venator, I found matching sticker sheet from set 75038 that fits my needs perfetcly for 'Open Circle Fleet' emblem applied on 2x2 LBG tile. However, for Invisible Hand, I need very tiny 'CIS emblem' onto blue 1x1 chese slope and I wasn't able to find any matching sticker within SW sets. Is it possible that there is some existing that I missed? If not, I'd need some advice on how to print a custom sticker. I personally do only have black laser printer but I think I could get acces to color one. Unfortunately I have no idea about what paper/foil to use, whether there are some pre-glued sticker sheets to print on... lacking any knowledge in general. Thanks for any recommendation or advice :)

(MOC) Allegiance-class Heavy Star Destroyer (EU-Dark Empire)
Kristof replied to Outworlder's topic in LEGO Star Wars
A little bit on a bulky side but otherwise it's fantastic. I like that jerac-like edges and whole build seems great. Well done!- 32 replies

Huh, I don't get the point of starting such thread. At least for me, if I made MOC of any kind, I'd rather make my own topic, unless it's contest or something. And I don't get why do you expect such huge avalanche of heavy gunner gun (?!) creations... all in all I consider this quite pointless and expandable thread.

Internet is dangerous thing if it comes to stalking - you need to count with that before going public. But as long as you aren't threatened directly or being stalked in real life (weird person warching my house), I don't think it's really worth contacting police. I wouldn't expect them doing much more than writing it down for record.

I very much doubt that this would be a good solution. I'd expect quite ugly result if using small piece to stick some pealing of part of the sticker... Anyway, this really should not be happening, if the sticker sheet is in regular shape and bricks are clean (dust and grease are your big enemies here), it should stick very well. I had this problem only once where the sticker came off and dust caught on the sticky side. What I did was using regular tape on the brick, leaving it there for a while, then taking of - thin layer of the glue remained on the brick and when I applied the sticker again, it held rather well. But I guess That depends on the tape I used and various other circumstances... -
Better and better and... better :D Great progress!

That joint detail looks interesting. Not sure about how well will it look on the thing, probably the only way to find out is to try, yet it's really original. Regarding your previous photo, I'll repeat myself - keep these foot bottoms (these are perfect scale and the look is great), combine with new arches and 2 stud thick legs.

Manias in building?
Kristof replied to jorgeopesi's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
+1 bush, pin and loose axle orientation. By the way pin orientation (especially friction pins) sometimes does matter when you want to click on two parts with several pins at once. Sometimes it's rather impossible task if the pins are missaligned :) -

Very cool. I like the opening panels maybe even more than walking which is excellent itself. Very original and excellent design.- 94 replies

Funny thing that in description the seller clearly states that the model comes disassembled in zip bags :D So it's three grand for doing the bricklinking. Which I think someone might not like to do but even if he charged about $200 for that it would be quite controversial...

You'r welcome and you'r right, Digital makes it look crappy all the time :)

This seller put's his offer on Ebay repeatedly, I first saw it like six months ago (and I believe it was already mentioned in this thread before). Well I wonder whether it's ever been sold - that price tag is really high. Perhaps if it was one of a kind creation designed by him... still feels line rip off :)

You have a good eye :) I forgot to uncover that more. I can send you lfx file if you want but it seems you can extract it from pics pretty well. Sorry about that rare part, I was only checking existence, not availability. Well before you grab paint can, consider substitution for these two: http://alpha.bricklink.com/pages/clone/catalogitem.page?P=3049c#T=S&C=86&O={"color":86} http://alpha.bricklink.com/pages/clone/catalogitem.page?id=67959#T=S&C=86&O={"color":86} Both common. Each would only hold on one knob but that shouldnt be an issue. And by the way that diagonal line adds a nice texture to that part. Anyway, rather than this section (which I put together without super care), I wanted to adress that wider, bottom cylinder. I understand your note about assymetrical side but hey, cylinder has no sides so why always seek for 'four side' symetry . Maybe I could come up with something better if I tried for longer time, this was some quick brainstorming which was mainly supposed to give you some push so you design better version . And to be honest, I really like your original version with these steps. I know that these aren't supposed to be there but it looks damn good in my uppinion. Main message above all is the size. I'm afraid that if you stick with your bigger feet, you end up with rather funny looking legs. But it's just my guess, maybe it will be fine :)

Here you go: It wasn't as straightforward as I expected, Kman was right - a lot bits had to be changed. But the result is quite pleasing, probably as good as it can be with the construction TLG used. Several bits are added just for aesthetics and doesn't have to be there. Everything should be rigid and ready to be played with. Optionally, these spring loaded shooters can be added to the bottom of the wings - I personally don't like them so I didn't do that. Send me a PM if you are interested in LDD file, I'll be happy to send it to you -
Umm, still I think it's a bit to bulky. The bottom part overlaps the beveled ring to much. Maybe I'm just being to clever haha . I couldn't resist not to try and flesh something out in ldd, have a look: I didn't implement the 'fingers' and whole inside of the bottom part is rather unfinished but that's more or less just about filling with bricks and plates. The arch is 2 plates tighter and the bottom ankle joints aren't sticking out that much (also each side has a bit different finish, I couldn't choose the better, both look imperfect). Therefore I could reduce the diameter of the bottom part by one stud. I know it's not much but at least for me it looks less bulky. Plus more roundish when looking from top. Following pics show some internal bits in case you wanted to give it a try.

Would suprise me as well, yet considered how long it has taken befor R2 was made, I guess we never know :) Still I'm curious whether the movie convinces me about the parcital sense of this design. So far I don't see many advantages of such concept.
-
I have the same concern about the archs. Not sure wtether axles would help though. How about this? A bit bigger step above that 2x2 slope brick but nice arch contour remains, while the top is much sturdier :) And one more question - the size is considerably bigger now, not less than Cavegods - will it be in scale with your head and rest of the body?

Awww, these 6x6x2 round bricks right? I was already planning on using those. If only they come in dark blue any time soon :)
