OH MY BRICKING GOD. THAT VENOM IS THE BEST MARVEL BUILD I'VE SEEN IN A LONG BRICKING TIME. I don't usually make the Marvel sets "must haves," but this one is very clearly so. That new Spider-man is top-notch, and Spider-Gwen's pretty good too. I doubt I'll keep Spidey's mech together, but I need that mega Venom in my life.

Future DC Super Heroes Rumors & Speculation
BaneShake replied to Sir Gareth's topic in LEGO Licensed
I'm guessing that IF (major if here, since the animated movies are not renowned for showing off soon-to-arrive figs) we get this, or a similar Ocean Master figure, it won't be until next year's sets alongside the new Batmech set. For another comics JL-lineup of sets they'll probably have different rogues galleries represented in each set like they did last time in 2015; each villain or group of villains came from a different general group. -
She's warming up to it. The lengthy explanation of Bionicle Lore proved it wasn't gonna scare her away. Early on in our relationship, the summer after we had graduated high school, I actually custom-made the two of us as a couple of pairs of minifigures. Our wedding videographer actually got them in a few shots of the wedding video, around the 18-second mark in... ...and around the 9 minute 12 second mark, if you want to jump ahead, our baker used my Green Arrow and Black Canary 'figs on the Green Arrow themed groom's cake.

This is all a very good point. I'd like to point out how the comics-push that you mentioned, trying to sucker in collectors into spending more, was straight up a major cause of the comics crash in the mid-nineties.

DC Superheroes 2019 - Rumours, Speculation & Discussion
BaneShake replied to Anonknee Muss's topic in LEGO Licensed
Oh yeah, I already know we'll be seeing a figure based on that. And I can't wait! -
AW COME ON, I ACTUALLY WANT THAT FIGURE. Sheesh. Yup. The writer had fairly recently come out with Black Lightning, and didn't allow permission to use him. So they made a similar expy and threw him on instead.

The LEGO Batman Movie Set/CMF Rumors & Discussion
BaneShake replied to Sir Gareth's topic in LEGO Licensed
Same with the new hat-with-ponytail piece that didn't come out in sets until after the movie. There were probably a handful of possible minifigures that they decided not to go with involving soon-to-be-released pieces. -
Imagine stubbing your toe on this bad boy.

Minidolls into Minifigures project (pt1~2)
BaneShake replied to Dorayaki's topic in Minifig Customisation Workshop
These are already so much more appealing. I hate how TLG decided to make a separate human design just to creep into the "Polly Pocket" tiny doll market. We would've gotten some fun new designs from the Super Hero Girls line, and a guaranteed purchase or two out of me. Instead, I bought nothing. This, however, proves you can have the same fun style in a traditional minifigure. Keep up the good work! -
TUTORIAL: Remove print from decorated elements
BaneShake replied to Hinckley's topic in Minifig Customisation Workshop
Question: is it safe to use brasso on the softer-material pieces, like The Flash's mask? I have a spare Black Vulcan and intend to remove the yellow for a custom Zoom, but don't want to risk damaging the part until I know otherwise. -
Definitely not what I was expecting from the exclusive figure. It's well-designed, but it's also not a figure I was clamoring to get.

LEGO DC Villains (Videogame)
BaneShake replied to LEGODalekbuster523's topic in LEGO Media and Gaming
Since we just got a 2019 physical Firefly minifigure revealed, and in a set with Poison Ivy matching this game's design, I guarantee you Firefly is going to appear looking like his new figure in this game. -

Gamestop has in the past. Sometimes other random retailers. If you preorder the deluxe edition on Amazon, that always comes with the minifigure, but you're paying for the season pass too. -
DC Superheroes 2019 - Rumours, Speculation & Discussion

Holy crepe, a 2019 set??? This early? And we finally get Firefly? Someone here must have made someone in TLG veeeeeery happy. -
LEGO DC Villains (Videogame)
BaneShake replied to LEGODalekbuster523's topic in LEGO Media and Gaming
Based on Scarecrow's look, and the Rebirth styles of the heroes, I'm guessing any "DC Super Hero" line minifigures between this point and Lego Batman 3 (not counting Lego Batman Movie looks-- I bet that'll be a character pack) will be included. Question is, how up-to-date will the newest figures be? Will we get an Arkham Knight-looking alternate Batman, for example? -
He is officially a must-have. Only question is whether I'll give him a black cowl or keep the steel gray one.

LEGO DC Villains (Videogame)
BaneShake replied to LEGODalekbuster523's topic in LEGO Media and Gaming
Most likely. I followed the LB3 promotions the entire way to launch, and with the exception of maybe Fierce Flame, who was a design-a-character contest winner, they had announced them all throughout twitter, videos of gameplay, or word-of-mouth. Found some more gameplay. Gordon will be in-game same as the cinematic trailer (unsurprisingly), Captain Cold is confirmed as a pic in the customizer, and Clayface does have a second form. -

Good pics and info here. They mention Smallville as a playable area, which is something else I was wanted previously on this forum. This game is seriously trying to win me over now. Joke's on this game, I preordered the deluxe edition after the cinematic trailer dropped. https://www.brickfanatics.com/more-lego-dc-super-villains-details-revealed-at-e3/ And here, we have the current revealed characters. In order: The Custom Villain (who will have a role in the story), Clayface (minifigure form similar to LB 1 and 2, hopefully with a bigfig as well), Cheetah, Darkseid, Deadshot (first revealed here), Grodd, Harley Quinn, Joker, Killer Frost, Lex Luthor, Livewire, Reverse Flash, and Solomon Grundy. Not shown here are the Justice League, with Batman, Wonder Woman, Cyborg, and Flash in their new Rebirth attire we've seen in minifigure, Superman in an unreleased look, Aquaman and Green Lantern (who appear to be the same as before, but it was fast so I could be wrong), Mercy Graves, someone that looks like Metallo maybe, some random goons, and a really odd-looking gal that I also assume is the custom villain. -
