  1. They ship internationally as well..
  2. Since I'm back from my dark ages I had used Bricklink, until I found Brickowl. It's much easier to find items and the interface works great. You can upload lxf files which comes easy when you have designed your project in LDD. One remark is when you have a wishlist, and click on buy the complete wishlist and select all the stores it doesn't reflect the cheapest possibility, I think it shows you the best purchase with less possible stores.
  3. I agree. I think a license would be easier to do with a company they are already working with than with a new company like Nintendo. When the license is there already for some other "characters" it's easy, and faster to add "characters". I also think the main issue with Ideas is the big parts sets, I personally love the sets but just don't see these happen within the Ideas program. For LEGO there need to be sales, and not everybody can or will pay over €100 for a set. I think smaller sets just sell in bigger volumes, with better margins than big sets. Making me curious about this ratio.. If there is one €300 set is being sold, and 6 €50 sets, which one will give LEGO a better profit?
  4. I agree with the dentist, looks very nice, all the details are great... But a bike shop on the 1st floor.. You would need an elevator to get all the bikes upstairs
  5. Isn't the Wall-E the example that submitted projects, where LEGO already have a license for, can get thru the selecting process? The Disney license is not only related to princess, see Cars, Toy Story, Pirates of the Caribbean and some others. Or could this be because the designer is Disney related?
  6. My thought is the Deli will be in line with the Toy & Grocery and Bike & Cafe Shop, and the Arcade in the line of the Ferris Wheel and Fairground Mixer. But I would love to see the Arcade as a modular, I think it's a nice place where the kids can hang out.. Now while I think about it, the Deli should have a double function/shop name as the others to be in the same line.. Oh well, we just have to be patient I guess....
  7. Wow... really cool.. Any idea on the release date yet? Would love to have this as the VIP set on the 18th ... but probably wishfull thinking..
  8. Here is my very 1st MOD based on the 10182 - Cafe Corner. Most parts are new, and bought through bricklink, brickowl and LEGO Pick-a-Brick 1 or 2 parts need to be replaced for a correct color and need some fences for the roof. Also looking to do an interior. But instead of a hotel, I find the place too small for a hotel, I'm thinking of a super heroes hiding place. Sorry for the bad quality pictures, was finished yesterday evening and don't have the proper light for photography. I will try to make some better ones later today Oh one suggestion to anybody wanting to bricklink the modulars. Sometimes the pieces are cheaper @ LEGO Pick-a-Brick than bricklink and brickowl, and you are saving some VIP points Also a small search with brickowl will show you some alternatives, with the only difference a hollow stud or closed stud this can save a lot of money.
  9. I totally agree with this.. Now they put up a high piece count, and raise the price of the modular as well, but all you are getting is a lot of small pieces. But overall speaking I got the feeling LEGO is raising the prices, even for small sets.
  10. I'm both ways.. Have build almost all the modulars except the Fire Brigade. But still have all the Ideas sets unbuild in their sealed boxes, and some other items from the Friends line which are for resale, or building not sure yet. I would need to make some money to put back into my LEGO collection.
  11. There is one in Belgium @ Wijnechem shopping center nera Antwerp. Also one in Lille, France which is near the border with Belgium. I like the LEGO stores, but for great deals I will not succeed there. Only the yearly releases of the modulars, exclusives and PAB walls are interesting for me.
  12. Will be in Wijnechem (near Antwerp Belgium) the weekend, hope to find a nice collection on the wall. You also get a discount if you bring your own (previously purchased) cup.
  13. Wow... Really like the street... Do you have some building instructions (lxf file)for the houses?
  14. TBBT page is online on LEGO.com The Netherlands.. http://shop.lego.com/en-NL/The-Big-Bang-Theory-21302?fromListing=listing Available from August 1st for €64,95..
  15. I think if the Arcade is going to happen it will nicely blend the fairground series and the Modular series together. I would like an arcade, would be a fun place for the youngsters to hang out in my LEGO town. The Arcade though must be printed and without stickers, just like the DO.
  16. Also the store in Lille, does have some out of stock items available every now and then.
  17. Thanks for the compliments /Hans This looks very nice. Might start something like this myself. Does the total cost you have spend on the Eiffel Tower include your own bricks or not? I just received most of my bricks to build the second floor of my Cafe Corner MOD. Still waiting for a small shipment from Spain.

Great story line.. and a wonderful city.
  19. Just posted in an other topic my photo's of the CC. Just finished the 1st floor, but used a different color scheme, which probably totally will cost me around €200 for the CC. Here is my CC.
  20. Nice and looking at the price, I would choose this way as well for the Eifel Tower Been into the modulars, started with the fire brigade. Now working on the Cafe Corner, but I decided to use a different color. Done with the 1st floor which was aprox. somewhere between €80 and €90 (including some parts for the 2nd floor). Will be ordering parts for the 2nd floor probably this week, which would be around another €50, and then the last floor. The door indeed is very expensive so used a black one which I still had.
  21. Looks great.. Let us know if the store display it I would love to see it in real life.
  22. Great review, nice set. First time I saw the set it was next to an Detective Office, and made the Detective Office look very small. Too bad there are stickers included (20pcs ) , especially with this price point.
  23. Looks great !!
  24. Nice layout, should add two inverted corners in there?
  25. Looks very nice.. Some very cool MOC's on your flickr account as well.
