To be honest, I just wanted a huge Lego pirate ship, but I don't really like movies such as "The Lego Movie".. I think the Sea Cow is one of the coolest sets available and I totally like the style of it, but the "Metal Beard" character doesn't do anything for me, sadly enough.. I decided to mod the ship a little bit so it would be "minifig scale" on top. I decided not to add any other bricks from any other sets, and here is the result i came up with. (Fyi, Metal Beard is still intact, and I haven't bothered to put the couch and black robots together)

Incredible looking!

Today I powered my double Horizon Express with 2 motors on one side. I was not impressed at all to say the least. Compared to my Emerald Night or Maersk train, the Horizon Epress was so gutless and slow, I immediately removed all power functions. I will never power it again, from now on it will just "sit on my tracks and look good". Hopefully a new train will soon be announced, so I can use my newly bought parts... Edit; Nevermind.. I just modded my Metroliner with Club Car. It flies as a rocket and has these bright LEDs now. With minor changes, it's completely PF compatible.

I am not impressed. These sets look like something a kid would come up with. When there are amazing sets like modulars, trains, ucs models, ... How on earth would someone buy this instead? Just my 2 cents... -
Holy f-sticks Batman!!!

Wow looking good. Nice pics, and the car is really huge compared to the mini figures. But it's a lot of money for "a black box on wheels", € 220 here.

Nice find. My advice is, to enjoy it to the fullest, and build it!! I have mine from when I was young, many good memories, spent many many hours playing with it. Now you need to find a new Club Car.. I would, however, look for a mint box..

I think it's a fantastic model but I don't get a "classic space" feeling, except for the astronauts ofcourse... They look quite nice.

This was my first modular 6 months ago, I found it truly awesome and after the parisien restaurant, it is still my favourite. It's on a different level than, for exemple, palace cinema or city hall.

Just a bit too expensive, but looks great. Will it be in the same scale as the vw van and mini?

I've bought this set as an alternative for the imperial flagship (due to its insane prices, even used). Really like it. It looks "special" but in a good way :) It looks more interesting than any other ship ever created by Lego IMHO. Anyone here who has made one big ship out of two sets?
-
Not going to buy it. It's not a real "cohesive" set but rather a collection of mini builds.

Well that's just amazing. I was a big fan of the series when I was a kid. I think you nailed it!

Good evening sirs. Collecting some Lego since 1,5 years now. I mostly like trains. I now have a small layout with full Horizon Express, Emerald Night and 2 Santa Fe's. From my youth, I still have the Metroliner with club car and Crocodile loco. Track goes around 6 latest modular buildings. Soon to be added; Maersk and a bigger layout... I much prefer sets for "adults" as they are IMO much more detailed and nicer looking ( I'm 30 years old). I actually have no interest at all in the "regular" City trains, just don't like how they are less "realistic" looking.. Hope to find some usefull info here.. Edit; pic added
