I have to confess to enjoying the process of sorting. I find it relaxing and quite therapeutic.

Storing solutions for printed tiles/bricks
Boulderer replied to TWP's topic in General LEGO Discussion
How about trying a photo album format. I know that a number of these used to have a tacky surface that would keep the photos in place, whilst still allowing them to be re-positioned when required. Another way could be to use tacky cutting mats (Brother Scan and Cut style) with a clear cover placed over them. These could then be stored in a folder for easy browsing and reference.- 4 replies

We are currently going through the pain of having an extension built at the back of the house. This has meant that a lot of the Lego has had to go into storage, temporarily. Unfortunately, a lack of forethought and planning has meant that a lot of the previously sorted pieces have ended up being thrown in together. I have two months to contemplate a new system before the Lego comes back out of storage. I think I'll be taking an evening or two to read through this thread again for inspiration.

Lego display room / game room ideas?
Boulderer replied to Mattgintx's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Rather than a set, how about trying to create a Lego mosaic to hang on the wall? That way, it could be of anything or anyone, and still incorporate the Lego theme. -
The bodywork looks to be greatly improved since April.

Ok, I think you may have the prize with the live cams. Although not vintage or classic TV, they do seem to be a guilty pleasure ? Babylon 5 was one of my favourite shows btw ? -

I wonder how a set like this gets past TLG's product quality and validation tests? There appear to be a number of issues with the functions which could well be disappointing for many LEGO customers and builders. -

Whilst I fully understand the concept of rebuilding the older sets in studless techniques, and appreciate the effort and skill in doing so, I still prefer the studfull versions. You have inspired me to break out the 8062 parts though, and spend a few hours reliving the joys of the set. Thank you for that -

I did the same thing with the Caterham when that was released. It was surprisingly challenging to build from the instructions whilst using different colours. I also found that "random" colour selection quite often failed to look random once assembled. Not sure if this was down to subconscious colour matching, or just perception. But, it took effort and thought to make the finished build look like it was random. -

Yule Brinner stars as the robot gone bad. Great silver eyes ? The film was better than the TV series. Though now I’ve written that I find myself doubting my recollection of a TV series ? -

Looks good. I assume it’s based on a DTM style touring car? -

That is an absolute cult classic. Battlestar Galactica has to be the original series. Forces TV shows it a lot. -

For a second there, I was thinking you were going to head off to the local electronics store to get pieces to fix it. -

Someone in the house has been watching Forces TV, and all the 80s shows that it broadcasts. No one is owning up to it though. I’m not averse to a bit of Airwolf or Knight Rider but, it appears that they are embarrassing to own up to for the rest of the family. So, it prompts me to ask ... what guilty pleasures do you have where TV is concerned? PS: I feel it’s fair to warn that no amnesty from ridicule should be granted ?
