Mini figure scale is, essentially a model that fits a mini fig. EG, a car that a figure can get into and "drive", a house which was to some extent, a mini fig can actually live in. The creator, city and modular buildings are good examples of this. Again, it's really more of concept than a scale- if it fits a mini fig, it's mini fig scale.

Nice one, two very well represented MOCs!

[MOCs] The Minataka and The Temple of Orion
BrickCurve replied to Hinckley's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Both MOCs are top notch, I now have a new appreciation for that prefab boat piece, I will have to dig mine out of the sorting... And that temple, simply amazing! On another note, both MOCs would be a perfect fit for GoH... -
What great builds! I particularly like the snail, the spiral of the shell is very mesmerising.

For my latest MOC, Beneath Anrarr, I would like to claim the UoP credits for: Geography: Grasslands, Military Science: Fortification, General Building: Lighted Builds (LEDs)- 343 replies

Hidden beneath castle Anrarr, in a not so long forgotten series of cavernous cellars lies the headquarters of the High council resistance to the rule of the Desert King. The main story and all four builds from the rest of build are available in the [summer Joust 2016] Kaliphlin Team thread. I would like to claim the UoP credits for: Geography: Grasslands, Military Science: Fortification, General Building: Lighted Builds (LEDs)

Great job! I particularly like how you made the ostrich saddles.

The Exetrius Saga (6): Attack of the Hunters
BrickCurve replied to Exetrius's topic in Guilds of Historica
Nice one, I really like the mini figure posing. I am not sure about the partially brick built tree though. -
Wow! Three incredible builds!

As the Kaliphlin civil war came to a close, shortage of food, and resistance to the new leader of the guild, causing unrest among the populace. Now, after the mock glamour of the civil war attracting so much attention from the wider diplomatic scene, let us return to the desert lands to find what goes on there... After the civil war in Kaliphlin ended in stalemate, the main concerns of it's leaders turned to how to rebuild their shattered economy. Marauding armies had raided and decimated farms throughout the land, leading to wide spread hunger and deprivation. Peregrinus had fared somewhat better than it's neighbouring provinces, as most of it's battles had been fought against Ulandus on the sea. Although not blessed with much arable land, the locals have made do by cutting into the hillsides, creating terraces where produce can be grown. Soldiers from both sides of the conflict have found ready work on the land, finding a new common purpose after the exhaustion of war. Much to the dismay of the wealthy villa owners, many of their villas are being converted into terraces to supply a bit of extra food to the surrounding towns and villages.[/font] Terraced Villa in Peregrinus - 1 by Gabriel Thomson, on Flickr In an attempt to maintain security and control, ostrich riders are on patrol all around the guild. OstrichKnights by Kayne _, on Flickr However, they cannot be everywhere at once, and cannot stop the meetings between those who disapprove and rebel against the Desert king, at locations such as the Maritime Inn on the Southern Coast of Kaliphlin. Chapter2a by Kayne _, on Flickr And the minions of the desert king have, so far failed to find the location of one of the main supporters of the High Council, buried in the almost forgotten, cavernous cellars beneath Castle Anrarr on the inland sea. Beneath Anrarr by Henry Alekna, on Flickr End note: SkaForHire was originally going to contribute a model in the place of Kayne's ostrich knights, due to unforeseen and unavoidable circumstances, (a careless air conditioner repairman), his build was too far damaged to complete in time. Thanks to Kayne for filling the gap. Thanks are also due to Gabe for replacing Si-MOCs when he ran out of time due to BrickWorld with only ten days to go. Thanks also to Mark of MMCB Capes for printing the custom flags. Unfortunately they didn't arrive in time to be used by Kayne in his builds. We will also be posting our MOCs separately to make it easier for them to be registered as free builds.

Both. Though if it is a GoH related build it goes in the GoH forum.- 343 replies

Nice one. I really like how you used the brown tiles over the door of the hut, they work really well. Adding some more texture to the grass would really improve the MOC I think, adding an extra layer of realism to the landscaping. More 1 x 2 tiles or some flower stems or other vegetation would work well.

Great job! The net is really cleverly done and I also really like how you added the purple for the lower leaves on the trees.

I absolutely agree. Adding a rating system to EB would be to change and to turn it into something like Facebook with a rating system, which has never been the idea behind EB.

Nice one, adding some risen or parts of a slightly different colour on red roof would improve it and make it look more realistic, more like a weathered roof in fact. UoP +1 for the roof rakes. Though I don't feel that there is enough detail for the interior design credit. Adding some pictures on the walls would make it look a lot more homely and realistic.

Looks great! Having the trans in the stone path really helps bring the model to life, adding another layer of realism to the build. Also, really nice mini figure posing, adding the boys playing in the snow was a masterstroke.

BrickCurve replied to crises_crs's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Great job! Its really rare to see a horse shoe shaped building which makes this one really stand out. Nice touch adding baguette around the wedge of the walls as well. -
Looks great! I particularly like the tree design, not many people use the green trunks but it works really well here. I am not so sure about the dragons head though- it's a bit unclear where the eyes are. Also, those prefab rock pieces don't work that well for a backdrop.

Aussie sales! Share the news of LOCAL sales!
BrickCurve replied to Darth_Legois's topic in Buy, Sell, Trade and Finds
At the QBD chain of bookshops, (or maybe just me local one), they have the DK mini figure history book, (the one with the three figures included in the cover), 60% off, so for $50. -
Wow, absolutely amazing! It's rare to see large scale castle MOCs built in a snow theme, which makes this even more impressive.
