  1. The Hall's a busy place - people are always passing through, everyone's always talking. The Library's a lot more quiet, more restful - an easier place to draft a resume.
  2. I was speaking OoC because properly, Lind is still back at the library, and having him trot back and forth during that bit of RP just wouldn't be right...
  3. OoC: Could y'all use a Black Knight? With Sandy's computer out, it looks like it'll be a while before any more quests go up, except the Fields...
  4. Win. 7. Win 7 = awesome.
  5. I don't think I've ever had a Heroica dream - at least, none that I can remember. "Oh, we shall, we shall..." (Someone write to the mods and tell them we need an Emp. Palpatine Hooded Face emoticon...!) Seriously gorgeous scenery, WBD. The parrots bring back powerful memories of LU...
  6. No problem. It must have been Immortalis, trying to stave off the fighting...
  7. Did you write that? That is tag-worthy.
  8. I think he'd almost go for the idea. It's one thing to gently try and nudge events. It's a whole 'nother to actually have an agent on the ground, in the group, ready to represent you at any moment...
  9. Fair. In my mind, I was thinking, "Well, if the HM wants Lind to turn his head, I've got no problem with that,"...but that's an excellent point on precedent. On a different note, Lind finally made his way to the Library thread, in search of Z-Mail... Throlar v. Althior?
  10. A hero returning doesn't get much notice, since someone's always coming back, but a Queen slamming a rolling pin onto the counter? I can definitely see that.
  11. Lannie. Vote Lannie. Best romance-in-progression. Darn it, can we vote for two romances? That one is too funny not to list...
  12. Well I didn't vote for myself in all categories... But I admit I may have been slightly biased by the quests I've been on. The emotional attachment of a couple months each kind of makes them stand out more in your mind...
  13. As the resident(and highly well-groomed) librarian sorted through the perpetual stacks of books, a certain Black Knight stepped inside the knowledge-filled halls. "...The Labyrinth Jogger..." "Excuse me-" "Do you have any ideas how to categorize a book that's neither for children, nor adults?" "Err...No?" "Then goodbye. " The Metasimian turned around and returned to his sorting. "The Starving Arenas? Who writes these things!?" The Munchkin stood behind him awkwardly. "Er...Apologies for intruding on your time, but...Could you explain to me just how one might send a Z-Mail? There's...someone I w...need to get in touch with. Very badly..."
  14. Lind left the Hall for the Library.
  15. A long, long time ago, In an online forum far away, A dude that worships Satan Hosted a gig. And I thought that I As a giant, green-skinned guy Could maybe "crash the party," If I hulked out, and grew, so big. But the response... It didn't thrill me. They shot the booster, On Day Three. And then, a few months after that, I changed my name, as well my hat. I took a new page from that scene, Went all Scummy, not too clean. Paradise isn't as great as it might seem. And then, I found...This game. Let us dissect this. Participate? Yes. Actively? I've got a busy schedule ahead of me, so I can't judge how active, but certainly more than last-minute late-afternoon fluff active. It's kind of a toss-up. On the one hand, Red Dwarf is awesome. On the other, so is Firefly. On the other hand, well, you have Mr. Doesn't-need-a-zimmer, the snappiest-dressing cat around, and retirement plans for a nice Fiji Island. On the other other hand, you've got Mal Reynolds. Can I take a third option and select both of them? Does Kirito count as Sci-Fi? Either him, or Wash...But then, again, Jayne's hilarious... Not enough provided information. (Yes, I did ask a friend that knows this sort of stuff. ) It touched my heart... If all of that's satisfactory - especially my answer to #2 - ready for duty, Sir! OoC: Thanks awfully for referencing the Hypaxxians - a greatly underused resource in LEGO Sci-Fi.
  16. How would this work? Would the game take place on another site? I'm guessing you wouldn't actually have to share account details, but I'm not sure how it could happen here on Eurobricks without doing that...
  17. I vote for this solution. Either that, or an Infinite Improbability Drive materializes out of nowhere and lands on him*. Good explanation. *I actually had to do something very much like this for the RP thing I asked about a few weeks back...
  18. That's an effect. If immunities take precedence over class negatives(Black Knight Stunned SHIELD roll+Black Knight armor=no Stun), I don't see why the Soul Link Chain wouldn't over-ride the one hero clause. The Chain is supposed to transfer all effects - good and bad. It's up to Sandy, but without further instruction, if I were QMming, I'd assume they were both Dance Macabre'd.
  19. Except that some players can survive certain specials, and others can't.
  20. I thought it was actually an aid to the QM. If the enemy you're targeting is already dead, they don't have to guess as to who the player would want to target next.
  21. I move we leave poor Sandy alone. He's already clarified what he knows several times, and repeating the question doesn't present a better answer. If people want Heroica to last longer, they should do their part by writing and hosting/cohosting quests. That's the "secret solution" to keeping the game going. That's it. Complete, and unedited.
  22. No argument. Normally, I would have waited for a drop, but there were reasons why I wanted to have a halberd in my inventory as soon as possible.And...facepalm. I just realized that a Scroll of Frailty would only grant 1/2 chance of Frailty, in #135, not 100%. Change that to "Halberd, WP:1, 1/2 chance of Frailty..."* Yeah, the armor+Plasma Shield+#122 were part of the reason I named it "Star-Breaker". Trying to go for kind of a "lone knight standing against the fell forces of...aliens" theme. No problem, just give me a list**. **Not that 100% wouldn't be nice, but 1/2 would be just fine... **(Not that such a list shouldn't be easy to make, but just to make double sure I don't miss any worthy names.)
  23. If Lind can either embed a Scroll of Frailty in Star-Breaker, a la the Dream Forge, get Fragile embued a la a "100% on successful hits" version of Emjajoas's edited forge, (or get a WP: 1 Halberd, deals Fragile as Grogsmas gift/drop), well, to quote Pathaldric, "You're running with the big boys, now." (At least in terms of humanoids, but they aren't exactly rare. )
  24. No ideas here. I just didn't have the brain-power right then to write anything more than the shortest of interactions between Anwyl and Lind, which unfortunately makes it sound unexpectedly angsty in reflection... (In the case that the Clash of Houses is a sudden-summon*, a la the Decamon tournament, I wanted to make sure I had it in my inventory as soon as possible...) *Technically, there was a brief window for entering in the Tournament, but better geared-up than sorry...
