  1. The lightsabers probably won't be available, but the rest should be good.
  2. Approximate number of waves revealed before all participants are dead: One.
  3. All I'm missing from Grievous is a cape.
  4. Mixing them up with some of the dark orange ones should create a sort of balance in sizes. And t'll make him a bit bulkier, which he kinda needs.
  5. I think the people who wanted tan on Pohatu will be satisfied now.
  6. Ekimu strikes me as a mix of Mata Nui and Artahka. He's the series' Big Good, but he's not a deity of any kind, or even revered as such. People just like his masks more than his brother's, because he's a highly-skilled mask maker.
  7. Turning into a snake was probably an improvement for Metus.
  8. Except she's a female character.
  9. One thing I think they could do is inject more variety. We've got a fair amount with the Toa, but let's push the envelope a bit. Maybe make something more like this piece, but with an open back for the gearbox. Never understood why we didn't get that part more in HF, it looks great.
  10. It's true that I;d like it to look more piston-y and such, but I feel that, for the most part, the bones and shells are fine. Sure, I'd like less bley and more coloured bones, but if trans-purple isn't a fantastic start on that, I dunno what is. THe only parts I take issue with are the 2.0 shells and feet. A new torso shell would be nice, since we got one almost every year up to Brain Attack, I don't think it's too much to ask, or just give us the BA torso shells in the Toa's main colours, that'd be fine. As for the feet, they just don't look good. I find that the best I've been able to make them look is on some of my Toa MOCs, all of whom are at least two units taller than an Inika. The feet are oversized, and frankly, with everything getting oh-so-versatile, a foot-piece with a built-in socket is a bit too 2001-2 for my tastes. Actually, that's not fair. The Mata and Bohrok feet were more versatile than the 2.0 foot. Still, one dodgy part out of all of them isn't bad. THe one othe refinement that I think CCBS needs is in the neck area. They need to find a way to stop the heads and chestplates interfering with each other. Either make the neck longer, make a new armour add-on which doesn't stick up as much, or make a new torso shell with the notches for the addon to attach to a bit lower. No set is perfect, but I think the Toa are the closest we've come to that in a long time. Not only have they fixed the problems that a lot of HF sets had, but they also look a lot better than Tahu and co's last outing (Soft spot for Lewa Phantoka aside).
  11. I'd also love some new Toa Minifigs. The Hordika ones were pretty awful. SOme of them made decent figurines, but that was about it. The 07 ones were just too lazy... but I like the 06 ones. In fact I think some of the Inika masks look better in Minifig form than they do in full-size. Jaller's not derping, and isn't lacking a nose. Hahli's girlstache is less noticeable. And the weapons we got with them were awesome. My sigfig actually uses the longsword that came with them.
  12. I'm by no means a mobile gamer either, simply because I don't actually have a smart phone or tablet. What sort of genre do you think would work? I'm all up for something like the other Lego games (Loved Lego Batman III), but do you think they could go another route? Maybe a MOBA of some sort? After all, Bonkles are about unity, and MOBAs are about teamwork. You could have the full-sized sets as playable characters, the Protectors as minions, and Otokan wildlife as creeps. Even better, each new wave of figures could be patched in as playable characters, so, say they started with the Masters, you'd begin with just the Toa, and then they'd add the Skull Army, then the 2016 winter wave, etc. The only problem I can see with this is that the MOBA and Bonkle target audiences don't exactly overlap. Random subject change: Are any of the play-by-post games on here Bonkle-flavoured? Because that needs to be a thing.
  13. I could kinda see them making a minifig helmet designed after the Toa Masks and then putting it on an IFB-style body.
  14. Dekar. An odd choice, I know, but I loved his look and colours, and his mask went on to be part of my self-MOC, who himself started life as a "Toa Dekar". I also really liked Kazi, Jaller and Gukko, Jaller Mahri, Brutaka, Matau Metru, Vakama Hordika, Axonn, and Mata Nui (Glatorian). I'll also always have a soft spot for Tanma and his fellow Karda Matoran buddies. EDIT: Add Toa Lhikan and Kikanalo.
  15. Nice. Sadly I only got Nuurahk and Zadahk, which sucks since Bordahk is clearly the best one. Aw, I like Gavla. Actually, I kinda like all the Kardatoran, warts and all. It's the Agori I have a problem with. They fixed none of the issues with the Kardatoran- And no, the head doesn't count. The Kra-Matoran were supposed to be hunched over and twisted, and the Av-Matoran masks were so streamlined that the longish necks didn't matter too much- and made a few worse. With no wings or jetpacks, the torsos were only one unit thick, and the fist piece made the prebent limbs problem all the worse since they had so little articulation. THere was also the fact that a lot of the 2009 masks are terrible and show too much of the "Iron Man" face... Mata Nui, 2009 was a bad year. Changed my mind, guys. Worse set is either Metus or Berix. Ugly masks, 90 degree arms which are exacerbated by the fist pieces, and poor colour schemes.
  16. I'll take a 3DS game, provided that don't screw with the formula from their own games. If the above rumour is true, then I'm kinda bummed that the Wii U's getting skipped. Seriously, first we don't get Lego Batman III's DLC, and then no Bonkle game? Uh, Lego? You know there's more target audience overlap between the Wii U and LEGO than with the PS4 or Xbone, right? And you games tend to do better on Nintendo consoles? Feel like making something for them and not shafting them? Only thing they'd get out of skipping the Wii U is better graphics, and I don't like it when games get too focused on the graphics. Gameplay, story, characters first, worry about graphics later. Anyway, since I was last on, I got a bunch of sets: Kopaka: I love his upper build, except for the grey bones in his shoulders. However, his lower build is a bit of a mess. Must be honest, I gave him Breakout Nex's torso shell right out of the box. Found the weapons a bit of a disappointment- The shield's great, but the spear is lacklustre. Pohatu: Grabbed him yesterday. He's a bit of a letdown out of the box, but with mods, he looks fantastic. Honestly, I only got him over Onua because I wanted the Golden Mask of Stone for my Toa of Psionics MOC, and then the eyes were so narrow that it looked crap on her, so now she has the Golden Mask of Water, which I'm treating as a "Counts-as" Mask of Possibilities for old-universe-compatibility. I think his weapons are poor, but on the plus side, I finally have a use for the burnt orange Lewa Nuva Katanas that came on the Gukko all those years ago. Protector of Stone: A fun little set, but he/she had one major, major flaw. His/her parts were too useful, making him the first 2015 set I took apart. I might get another one, though. Protector of Water: My "Counts-as" for either Hahli or Gavla 2015, as a set she's great. THe weapons are dodgy, but creative, I suppose. I don't like the fans on her shoulders, so I took those off. I was quite surprised to see that the one set of the Protectors that's most likely to be female (I consider PoJ, PoS, and PoW female, and PoF, PoE, and PoI male for some reason) have a very obviously oversized chest and backside. Guess we found an alternative to the dreaded Nuvaboob and Inikass! Albeit only for small sets with XT4 torsos. Protector of Ice: Got him yesterday with Pohatu. I think his limbs are a bit too short, and his weapons poor, but otherwise, he's fantastic. Getting quite annoyed by colour-scheme breaking bone pieces. I mean, I can accept that the "Hinge-joint" bones come in grey instead of black, but since sets are so much better with ball-jointed bones instead of hinges, at least in the arms, then why keep the hinges?
  17. Worst constraction set is a complicated thing, since it all depends on hw you judge quality. For example, it's very easy to say that Tanma is one of the worst sets ever, because he's not only an Av-Matoran, but also a lime one, so he falls apart if you look at him. But at the same time, I really like Tanma. Sure, he's not a great set, but when he's properly built, he looks pretty great sitting on a shelf, and he also looks pretty decent on Lewa's back. You could say that the Tohunga are terrible, since they're as close to a Brick as Bionicle gets. But, like the infamous Good Guy, they're free promos. I'd say the worse set I've owned was Vastus. He had overspecialised parts, poor armour, and his joints fell apart very quickly. And his weapon was crap. But I think the actual worst set was Stars Skrall. I never understood why he and Gresh got to be in the "All-Stars" wave, and the set, save for the black Kopaka sword, was awful. In response to things overs have said... I really liked the Inika build. I like the cartoony proportions, and honestly, the leg-to-torso-ratio is just as bad in the 2015 sets and no-one complains about them. WHen they were just built, they were sturdy enough. The Piraka build was pretty bad, though. And I also loved the Vahki. I should build a Vahki.
  18. My only beef with the gold is that only the larger sets have it, and it makes the golden masks look a little out of place. On Lewa and Pohatu it looks fine, but Gali's overabundance of gunmetal and silver makes her look pretty bad with the gold mask. Question: Why did they put those unalterted BA chests in Gali and Kopaka, when everyone else got a recoloured torso plate?
  19. In terms of a movie, I'd love one, but they'd have to find a good way to do the designs. Being super-set-accurate like TLR would be good, but at the same time, I do prefer the more technorganic look of the Miramax films. I don't think the style used in the shorts would do for a full film, though, as much as I like that style. Of they did a movie, what sort of tone do you think they'd go for?
  20. Dude's been chatting to Tahu with telepathy for a while now. He's probably not even comatose. He's certainly a lot more involved than Mata Nui was.
  21. Ekimu's not dead. He's asleep. He was "lifeless" in a metaphorical sense.
  22. I'm definitely getting Scorpio. I want the blended new Kakama, and it's a 2015 set I don't have any qualms about dismantling for parts, whereas all four of the others that I bought remain intact.
  23. I'm really glad we got skeletal undead instead of zombies. Zombies are boring now.
  24. Yeah, I think having six different variants of skull-face would be a bit of a waste of plastic, especially since these guys are supposed to be kinda dead anyway.
  25. I still like 'em. Random thought I ended up having: I'll admit, I've been wondering what each of the new sets could be as "Counts as" characters for people who won't adopt the new canon, and so far, with just the sets I had, I got this: Tahu: Tahu w/golden armour at full size. Gali: Tuyet or Helryx Lewa: Toa Tanma PoF: Ta-Matoran with an Arthron.
