    FOr the same of things staying up-to-date, though... Vonnie replaced whatever was there before when Bonkle ended. Now HF has ended, it only makes sense for him to be replaced in-kind. Alternatively, if we're going to go with the "Everything gets a rep" idea, then have something from HF in there with things from the other lines, but something that represents the series better.

    Well, ATM we've got Bonkles and that's about it. THe Star Wars ones are coming soon, but honestly I don't think the Mixels count, since they're brick-built. And also generally ugly-as-sin, but that's another matter entirely.

    I think the only real weakness CCBS has is a lack of certain parts in certain colours, and I'm sure we'll get things like the chest addon in the Toa's colours when LEGO need the gold pieces to be special and only for the team's Sixth Seventh Ranger again.

    Nebby stopped being relevant in 2010. They kinda pretended he mattered in 2012, but then did nothing with him and just focused on "The "Hero" Factory attacks random animals" plot for two years and then the line died. At this point, I'd like to suggest Tahu, Ekimu, or Makuta to replace him.

    I love how the reaction to Lewa using a common idiom is "How does Lewa know what that means?" Omega-level pedantics in the action figures board! ... We're really lacking in things to talk about, aren't we? Isn't it time something Bonkle-flavoured replaced ol' Vonnie up the top there?

    Benefits of each system: Well, I think CCBS is much easier to get a good looking model from, and allows creativity without resorting to ugly messes of technic. It's also much easier on the wallet, since you don't need hundreds upon hundreds of pins for every set. OGBonkle, on the other hand, does, at this point, have many more options. In building a Bionicle character, your options are huge, even if it's just going to have a mask, while mask-wearing CCBS Bonkles have to make-do with the currently limited 2015 masks and the few HF helms that look decent as masks. It's rmore rewarding for the fans of more complex builds, evenif the result doesn't look great.

    It has its issues, but the animation has been improving a lot. Season 2 opens with a gloriously-well-choreographed food fight. In terms of applying RT stuff to Bonkle, I'd love to see some of the RvB Season 8 fights with Epsilon-Tex and/or Meta in Bonkle style

    Plain gold and plain white chest addons... why do these things not exist in actual LEGO sets?

    Honestly, I think that while the classic style is good for complexity, I think that far too many Gen1 Bonkle moccers value complexity, custom, and greebles over solid aesthetics. And that's a bit dumb, in my humble opinion. Sure, your MOC might be complicated and a very clever build... but it looks like a mismatched pile of crap. If I had the parts and the colours (Dark Blue!) I would convert most of my Gen 1 MOCs to CCBS in a heartbeat.

    If they did a RWBY-style Bonkle thing, I would be all over that. Or some of the Project Freelancer scenes from RvB, in terms of action.

    To be honest, I would prefer a more set-accurate look for the comic. Not completely accurate, I'd like to see them stylized, but not in the same style as the webisodes. I'm not a fan of that style to be honest, and if I had to pay for it, well, I wouldn't. Not that there's anything wrong with it, it just doesn't appeal to me. EDIT: Yeah, I can see them doing that with Tahu and PoF. To all the people narked about Tahu getting the focus... just wait till the Takua/Rocka equivalent shows up and completely steals everyones' thunder by virtue of being gold.

    *Quietly seethes at the mention of Hydruka* The Voodoo Heads look kinda awesomely-creepy, but I think they'd be pretty poor as sets. Funny to see the barely-altered Muaka.

    In terms of separating old and new, I wonder if the people that don't want the two lines to be connected realise that making the protectors the Turaga or the Mctoran would actually help there. See, if the Protectors are new versions of the Turaga, rather than just similar characters, then Tahu and co. obviously can't be from a world where the Turaga are around.

    I think CCBS humans would look pretty bad, TBH. By that merit, I think all of the heads are pretty useless as heads.

    I lol'd at all the people geting salty about the set not being Boba. Jango has some nice Sand Blue... Yeah, my Matoro revamp's getting CCBS arms now. However, I'll prolly get them off Bricks and Pieces or BL, rather than shell out the money for Jango's set. Honestly, Grievous is the only must-have from this wave. Vader and Obi are nice, but I'd rather save my money for more Bonkle. cody and Jango just don't appeal, and I don't think anyone likes Luke. What do you think will be in later waves? I'm guessing Darth Maul, EpIII Anakin, and Boba. Probably Han as well. I'd also like to see a generic white Clone/Stormtrooper, and a Magnaguard, but that last one's unlikely.

    Well, while I'm not the old Miru's biggest fan, I still like it. The Mask of Air, on the other hand, is my least favourite of the new Toa masks. The actual worst mask is obviously the Kanohi "Moustache, goatee, and lantern-jaw for your female character" Elda.

    Solek was probably the best of the Avotoran builds, to be honest. His limbs weren't horrible for pre-bent lumps of barely-useful plastic, his mask looks great, his colour scheme is good... He's certainly better than basically every build of that type that came afterwards (Zesk doesn't count).

    I actually really liked the basic idea of the 2008 Toa, it's just that the execution was pretty poor. I've often wanted to remake them, keeping that basic aesthetic of a streamlined, "Air-fighter" build, but make them sturdier and better looking in person. Sadly, it's a pipe dream at this point, with my other projects. As such, if the Toa look completely different next year, I'll be fine with that. Especially if it gets Lewa a better mask. (Seriously, that mask is the whole reason Lewa isn't my favourite Toa).

    Grievous is now an obligatory purchase. Cody...enh. Not enough orange for me... Maybe he'll grow on me, though.

    Must get Grievous, acquire a suitable cape, and remodel him to look more like his design from 03 Clone Wars.
