MOCs: Jungle Brawler and Jungle Guardian
TwistLaw replied to Logan McOwen's topic in LEGO Action Figures
I LOVE your jungle brawler! While being similar to the protectors it has that little nice touch that helps setting it apart. Really looks like something LEGO itself would be selling, and that's what I like the most about a MOC. I'm gonna build one myself, the very same way I'm gonna do with the villager carried by Onua in the recent diorama appeared on the official Facebook page (yep, I'm the guy who commented on your post). -
Star Wars Constraction 2016 Discussion
TwistLaw replied to Logan McOwen's topic in LEGO Action Figures
To be precise the Uniter torso has a gear fused with the torso itself, limiting somehow the mocing potential of the piece. -

That's great, this should calm down any complaints about the buttgear of the Uniters' torso -
That's actually a fairly good MOC, but that subtle sexualitation is just a big nope.

I'm pretty much ok with this, even though I had to google most of these people (shame on me)... thanks for sharing!

Everytime I see people whining about BIONICLE's piston aesthetics I wonder why they liked the toys in the first place.

As an italian I am curious, who you'd think would fit the best each Toa?

Total rebuild of Lord of Skull Spiders
TwistLaw replied to PrimoUltimo's topic in LEGO Action Figures
Hot stuff right here, I think I'm gonna revamp my LoSS too -
Outstanding stuff. Wish I had more words to underline how strong is my opinion about your work.

I do that with HF sets and very few BIONICLE ones, those I like the less. I'm no master builder, so most of the times the original sets are much better looking than most of my MOCs. Not worth it, in short.

I find it hilarious that the winners of a BIONICLE contest never even mention BIONICLE amongst their interests.

Friendly reminder that we got more more sets with golden pieces in one year of G2 than in 10 years of G1 (excluding playsets). That's the only real complaint I have about G2: too much freaking gold. It's now an ordinary colour. Sigh.

Sure, but., say, Ninjago commercials have much more likes even though they're just commercials. I guess it's more a matter of BIONICLE slowly gaining a new fanbase; 2016 already should have much more liked videos.

Isn't it suspicious the sharp drop in views the latest BIONICLE commercial had on YouTube, after a couple of months being online? It's even more suspicious the fact that despite the 8 milion views the video doesn't even reach 1000 likes. I'm thinking LEGO literally spammed the video wherever it could, something normal for a money making company if you ask me. But still, such a low quantity of likes makes me wonder if MOST of those views were obtained by spamming.

Every time I see someone saying that, I giggle a little. Here in Europe we had little to no story material aside from the commercials. The story was pretty basic throughout the whole saga: bad guys vs good guys. BIONICLE decayed mostly because it wasn't a novelty anymore, markets changed and LEGO slowly shifted its focus on other themes. The plot had little impact on sales outside the subscribers of BZPower.

I don't wanna read too much into it, but when he says "As we speak, we are forging masks to unlock new elemental powers..." does that mean what I think it does? New elements in 2016/17?

Review: 70786 Gali Master of Water
TwistLaw replied to xboxtravis7992's topic in LEGO Action Figures
My nerves owe you a favour. But as I said, we have a nice review going on here with just the right humor spilled out. Hope you'll get the 2016 as soon as they come out so you'll be the first or so to review them. And good luck with that exam. -

oh please god don't tell me I read that right, this just can't have really happened not in a review of a set not on Eurobricks It would have been a very nice review (although made pretty late for usefulness and too early for nostalgia's sake) without that line. But nice fedora btw. -
Thank you very much for your useful feedback! I scrapped altogether the idea of using yellow thanks to two black foot I found, and swapped the limbs to make the guy more sleek: it worked greatly! But I didn't like it with the swords-head on the back, so I kept them the way they were... before dismantling the whole model. The pieces were recylced for something I'll post pretty soon.

They're not alone on Okoto. Much like the Dark Hunters in G1 a silent association operates beneath the surface of the mythical island, people we don't know the names as of yet. But we know some of the members, and Reegu is one of those. Part of a species living on a faraway island, its kind is well known for their long and weird arms and legs and their stealth abilities, along with their shield-shaped heads. Reegu is not that well equipped, but what it lacks in the firepower department is easily compensated by its outstanding mastery of... the way of the ninja. This is my first MOC ever, can't believe I waited so many years to build one. Is that really crappy? I tried to pay attention to particulars like colour scheme and playability (to hell the yellow feet, I had no better alternative). I'd love suggestions and feedback.
