Wait what? What do I hear? Is that a chorus? Seems like it's saying something... "TwistLaw was right", is that it? :DDDDDD On a more serious note, goddamn those guys look great. Outstanding I'd say. Umarak is a character who's been the best of the year two times in a row, and I don't think that happens very often in BIONICLE. Even the beasts look nice, and the beast mask being actually a mask is beyond genius and with very interesting implications.

The Toa look like are generated by a PS4 while the backgrounds by a 3DS. Anyway, I don't see good things for this series. I feel kids won't like it.

So, it looks like the crystal add-on can have its flaming part being turned on and off (look at 0:05). Cool! Also Akida can fly, lol.

Oh, I see. So it's all part of that "G1 sucked" revisionism that seems so popular these days at EB. As for me, I know just about the main plot and it still amazes me how well the main storyline clicked together. Only thing I dislike is the Red Star resurrecting thing.

I never read a G1 book. Is the writing really that bad? Island of lost masks was pretty average tbh.

No need to say sorry, as I wrote I think you did the right thing. I am myself son of people who earn their money via creative work, therefore I know pretty well how unpleasant it is to be accused of laziness or anything along those lines. Still, I think this time around it's pretty clear that BIONICLE is far from being a priority for LEGO. Saying they're not caring is preposterous and flat out embarrassing, but saying that the line is not getting the love the fans (and the creators, of course) would love to see holds an unsettling truth. But then again, that's just my opinion.

Same here, bro. LEGO in Italy isn't that popular to begin with, and those who are interested conceive it as a "highly sophisticated interlocking brick system" (yeah, I'm quoting that movie).Therefore anything that doesn't meet these criteria is rubbish. And sadly the fanbase here is so small that there's no room for constraction fans, or anything in between. Back on topic, I'm sadly one of those who think next year is the last one. SW sells like hotcakes, sets are constantly on clearance (except in Italy...) and in general the line did not have a noticeable echo. As soon as I'm done with my exams I'll go into details, as for now those are my two cents.

This is beyond embarrassment. Not only BIONICLE was the only theme without descriptions, but it was also reported to have a simpler storyline. Damn, let's enjoy these three years because day after day I'm more convinced they're the only ones. Same thing with Italian AFOLs. That's one of the many reasons I'm not able to like bricks, they remind me of those cocky elitists.

I get your point, but Makuta too was made of shadows in G1 (inb4 gaseous being) and yet he managed to always have this sort of noble aura around him. I wouldn't say the same about the Piraka, for instance.

Umarak seems like a noble character, unlike Kulta, so I don't think he'd wear the mask willingly.

Nice MOC but I've never liked the use of G2 pieces for a G1 character.

Sounds like terrible news. Where are you from? Looks like BIONICLE G2 is going to last even less than HF. Oh boy, don't let me think about that, especially since the quality between the two (and I'm talking about G2 of course) is not even comparable.

Umarak is interesting, and while less original than his hunter version he sure is imposing. Lava Beast is tragicomic, while Quake is promising. Storm looks like straight outta Hero Factory. Ekimu looks like 99% of Toa Ekimu mocs. Meh.

Today I bought Umarak and Terak, they just arrived at the biggest shop (italian version of Toys 'r us) in my town along with the rest of the wave. They're both outstanding sets. The creature head is huuuuge, Umarak is just brilliant. And the piece of unification is gorgeous, dat classic BIONICLE feel. Damn man, 2017 may be G2's last year but we had a damn fine run.

Lulz because of the holidays they would arrive on the 15th, by that day they'd be in stores. Since I refuse to pay a gazillion of shekels in order to have them earlier I'll just wait. This is no place for friendship, hate to shatter your dreams. Happy New Year, anyway.
