This is beautiful! I love all the detail - from the tire tracks in the snow to the lampposts, you have thought of everything! The old-fashioned buildings and snow give the scene such a cozy, festive feel. It really reminds me of the ceramic Christmas village houses we put up every year at Christmas.
This looks fantastic! I love the technique you are using for the floor. It is creative and has a very attractive result. I am looking forward to seeing this build come together.
I picked up some of the plastic drawer containers at Sears yesterday, and I started sorting. I am using a combination of the color and brick type systems. All of my SNOT bricks go together, all black slopes go together, etc. I am separating the plates and regular bricks for most colors, though, to make it easier to find what I need.
I went to a Lego store a few months ago, and I got a pretty good haul! I went home with a bunch of 1x2 light gray masonry bricks and the 2x2 fluted white column pieces (sorry, don't know a better name for this). I am planning on going back sometime soon and stopping at the PAB wall. With my Lego store, the wall is hit or miss. It's either plain red 2x4 bricks or the masonry ones.
This topic is so inspirational! I have been trying to organize my Lego collection for a while now, and I think one of those big storage units with all the drawers is the way to go. I have one question that I've been wondering about. Do you all prefer to sort by type of piece (tiles, headlight bricks, etc) or by color? I'm not sure which to do; I'm probably going to end up with a mixture of both.
Hi everyone, I'm Bookworm and I'm new to Eurobricks! I have been getting back into Lego after taking a break of a few years. I love the City sets and Creator houses as well as the modulars. I'm mainly a town builder.
I am looking forward to becoming a part of this community and meeting others who share my love of Lego bricks!
